Those who are chosen are at peace. Those who are not are probably outraged in the same way you seem to be.

Amen!......we have great peace, that only God can give.

I had the faith to believe that God would give me that peace as I was far from peaceful when I joined this site, lol.

Faith keeps on growing as long as we remain in God and His Truth......and not be swayed.

Faith grows by listening and hearing God.

Anyone else you want to include... be brave name names?
There many here refuting you ...many just as strident.

So refuting false Calvinism makes one unsaved... interesting that the stereotype for Calvinism is the harsh and elitist.

We were already in Him,before we were born....then in His perfect timing and will....He quickened our Spirit, made us alive in Christ, spiritually alive...

After all God knows exactly what He is doing....He knew us before we were born....therefore it was His will that I was saved....

He was watching over me as a non believer, drawing me to Him.....I see that all now in retrospect..my testimony.
So you were His while you were faithless?

You were never under His Wrath like the unsaved?

...

Choose you this day whom you will serve.

Sounds like free will to me...

Adam had choice
Cain had choice
Noah had choice
Abram had choice
Moses had choice
The Children of Israel had choice
Daniel had choice
Saul had choice
David had choice
The rich young ruler had choice
Jesus had choice
Peter had choice
The pastors and 7 churches in Asia had choice
Every human on the planet has choice

And the INVISIBLE testifies, CREATION testifies and NO ONE is without excuse BECAUSE all have a choice.

...

But if it is unpleasing in your sight to serve the LORD, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve whether the gods your fathers served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living (or the false god of Calvin whom you worship now). As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD!”

i like that verse, ".. Choose this day.. ". i am reminded by your post how the Isrealites were called stiffnecked more than once it seems. :)

i would disagree with cult and false God, maybe they sincerely think they are on the right track? we should all seek truth above any idea of our own or any man or woman though as much as possible and not get hung up on any 1 possible falsehood if possible too much.

He knew me when I was unsaved,he chose me from the beginning, and knew his plan to draw me to him.

I suffered greatly as a non Christian....but only a spec in comparison to what Jesus suffered.

He drew me to himself through suffering....as I have said....he knows his children and how to draw them to him......there is no doubt or question about it.....

That is my testimony.....no bible,no choice....because it had already been willed by God....in other words it was his will that I was saved.

And Praise God....I am his child.

I thank him for my suffering which he used to draw me to him!

It would seem you are unable to defend biblically the implications of your dogma of being saved before being saved.

It would seem, you don’t understand my saving....which by reading your posts,I understand why you don’t.

Saved before being saved?.....that makes no sense.......only a born again can be led and understand spiritual things.....as spirit gives life to spirit......flesh gives life to flesh.....there are many who think they are saved but are still in the flesh.

There is no question of Doudt when you have been quickened by God.......it doesn’t happen in the head.

By the way, that was part of my testimony...not dogma.

But it is the Spirit in man,the breath of the Almighty, that makes him understand.

They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart.

We were already in Him,before we were born
So then you were saved before you were saved.
All this because you do not correctly interpret Ephesians 1

According to your understanding of Ephesians 1 ......you were never under God's wrath and while you were faithless you were already in Him.

Oh my word,I’m not even going to attempt to answer this........what a misunderstanding of my words....how you came to that conclusion I have no idea.

You sound more confused by the day.....no offence, take a break @EleventhHour ...you spend every waking hour on this site.

It’s not good for you....look at the post you just posted to me.....you aren’t me.....so please don’t speak such rubbish about me.

You don’t understand my post, and drew your own conclusions to what I was saying......

For precisely the same reasons that God chose Jacob over Esau.

Rom 9:10-13
And not only this, but when Rebecca also had conceived by one man, even by our father Isaac (for the children not yet being born, nor having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works but of Him who calls), it was said to her,“The older shall serve the younger.” As it is written, “Jacob I have loved, but Esau I have hated.”

This little vignette meshes perfectly within the epic saga of God's elective purposes, its breathtaking breadth and scope spanning all of the Bible and all of the ages.

Yes it's there, it's real, it's unavoidable it's unassailable.
This scripture does give one pause for thought. It seems out of place with God's character throughout the New Testament. However, when thinking about it, clearly God chose Jacob to be a leader and Israel to be his people. Even though he chose Jacob before he was born and had not done any good or evil....God still knew who to choose for service.

Does this mean that he actually hated Esau and sent him to hell without a chance for repentance. I don't think so. After reading the story of Jacob and Esau, you can see that Jacob did want to please God and Esau was more concerned with pleasing himself. After all, Esau did choose to sell his own birth right. God didn't make Esau do this, it was Esau's choice. So in my opinion, this shows that God has the foresight to choose people for service. Before it even played out, God knew how it was going to go.

I think, the same can be said for the scripture that states we were chosen in him before the foundation. Scripture also states that the lamb was slain before the beginning of the world. We know this was not actually the case, so it must be speaking of God's foreknowledge. God made a plan for salvation, in that he sent his only begotten Son so that whosoever believes in him should not perish. If we accept and believe in him then we are elected in him. If not then we will surely perish. Put simply God has the foresight and foreknowledge to know who will believe, obey, and accept his gift and plan for salvation and who will not. He doesn't make people accept it and he doesn't reject anyone. It is the persons choice, yet God knows the beginning from the end. He is the alpha and omega.

In all sincerity, I thank God daily and pray they never become discouraged those who are similarly outraged like

@throughfaith @Bbrdrd @dcontroversal @Nehemiah6 @John146 @Duskey @1ofthem and the few

others that are willing to refute this false dogma of "election and irresistible grace" and all that it brings with it..... and I also pray that

more will take up the fight because we know a little leaven can do much damage.

Once again....an act of human belief....if we are chosen that’s it....we don’t choose,we were chosen...what part of that don’t you understand?

God chose and drew us..he quickened us...do you understand that?

Yep, you responded right after I posted that to you, right. And as far as the red x goes, I chose to because I don't agree with you and I told you exactly why before I did it. I don't normally give out red x's but hey....looks like it is one thing that might wake you up to your own behavior.

Was Jesus actually slain before the beginning of the world or was that God's foresight and foreknowledge.

God sent his only begotten Son so that whosoever believed in him would not persish. He is not willing that any should persish, but that all should come to repentance. Whosoever will let him come and take of the water of life freely.....etc. etc. etc.

Now what part of all of that don't you understand? God is not a respecter of persons so once again what don't you get about this?
