Yet different writings. Words are important. Both kingdoms were at hand when the Lord was on earth, the physical kingdom and the spiritual kingdom.
Jesus was at hand.

Jesus is even more at hand. WE ARE THE TEMPLE.
KOG/KOH is even more at hand now than then.

Paul says he followed Jesus.

You say otherwise.

Jesus said "I am the same yesterday, today, and forever"

You say Jesus preached a different gospel.

You were shown more than once where Jesus preached dbr.
Paul followed Jesus in what Jesus revealed through the abundance of revelations, things that were not previous known.

A few times lately in this forum someone comes along and discredits what Jesus states in the gospels. To date, we have been told that the gospels, the book of Acts and James are not for Gentile Christians. no teaching to be found for Gentiles there

The so called 'Jesus Seminar' dealt with Jesus some 50 years or so ago and I wonder if it has had an effect on modern teaching in Christian collages/universities, churches, especially the popular ones teaching 'gospel light' and so on

The "Jesus Seminar" was begun by New Testament "scholar" Robert Funk in the 1970s. It was Funk’s desire to rediscover the "historical Jesus" that was hidden, he believed, behind almost 2,000 years of Christian traditions, myths, and legends. The Jesus Seminar was created to examine the biblical gospels and other early Christian literature to discover who Jesus truly was and what He truly said.

The Jesus Seminar was (and still is) comprised almost entirely of individuals who deny the inspiration, authority, and inerrancy of the Bible. The agenda of the Jesus Seminar is not to discover who the historical Jesus was. Rather, the purpose of the Jesus Seminar is to attack what the Bible clearly says about who Jesus is and what He taught.

So then you have to ask yourself what it is that Jesus taught and why has it become questionable even by those who purport to believe in the deity of Christ?

the Jesus Seminar goes further though. The "scholars" of the Jesus Seminar do not believe in the deity of Christ, the resurrection of Christ, the miracles of Christ, or the substitutionary atonement death of Christ. Perhaps most significantly, they deny that the Holy Spirit is the author of all Scripture

is there a difference or some fine dividing line between excluding the gospels from teaching about Christianity or just saying 'we don't believe'?

I've seen some responses that seem to indicate the Bible is like a smorgasbord...just pick what you fancy and pass on the rest .

wondering what others think about this?
the message of the entire Bible is that God sent Jesus Christ to preach his everlasting words to Israel , be crucified and rise from the dead and be glorified as he was in the beginning . Jesus words are the words of God above all else it’s what the Bible’s message begins and ends with all the rest is a witness to this fact.

it’s no different than the serpent , coming behind what God said , and saying “ no, that doesn’t apply to you , listen to what I’m explaining instead I’ll explain The truth “

it’s satans only way to condemn man if man doesn’t reject Gods word we will live by it , if we reject it and listen to the enemy we will die . It’s true of adam , Israel , and all mankind from first to last .

man lost inderstanding of who God is in the o.t. Jesus came to tell man the truth and give us a real understanding of God so that we can know him , not like in the o.t. When he was in knowable Jesus came to do this and it is salvation to believe

“And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:20‬ ‭

we have to believe the one and only gospel including his teachings or were deceiving ourselves because whether we accept it or not

“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭2:14-17‬ ‭

the argument to remove Gods word from salvation is satans only ploy it’s always been so

Paul did not follow what Jesus taught the Jews prior to the cross. New revelation was given to him by the Lord himself as the Apostle to the Gentiles.

Christians here appear to have no problem believing that the OT was mainly directed to the Jews.

But the moment they turn that blank page in their bible and the word NT appears, they resist it greatly when people tell them Matthew to John were also part of the Old Testament promise to Israel (Romans 15:8, Matthew 15:24)

"The fourth gospel, that of John, reveals Christ's deity for the purpose of returning man to his first estate in Eden - eating from the Tree of Life and thus have an orgainic union with God to be equipped to be in the image and likeness of God, and to be "up to the standard of Christ" to be His Bride." Exaclty, and this is what I am called to do on a daily basis, physically , mentally and spiritually. Life is not the same once you go down this path. Its Jesus and only Jesus, anything else is irrelevant to the journey. There is a high standard many christians fail to understand, and I seriously cannot see many making it, a life in Hades for them sadly.

So, according to your doctrine, a life in Hell will be for those Christians who fail to be "up to the standard of Christ"?

who dont even try to get to that standard. Those that think Jesus is secondary to life here on earth. There eyes are focused on the world and its delights, the kingdom of God is secondary. Those are the ones who wont make it. Its all or nothing, you cannot have both.

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will” (Romans 12:2).
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 7:21).

So you do not agree that, you have Christ's imputed righteousness in you, the moment you believed in his death for your sins and resurrection on the 3rd day, aka 1 Cor 15:1-4?

only up until the point of your acceptance of Jesus as your lord and saviour. Any future sins are counted, so you must repent from evil, or at least try to. https://www.gotquestions.org/gain-world-lose-soul.html
