LOL, I know. And I think that is wise that you can recognize that it does annoy you. A negative affect is not good.

I am doing alright, thanks. Busy as ever with three little ones...but blessed beyond what I deserve. :)

Daughter had her Doxa dance concert tonight. It was the story of Joseph. AMAZING as always! Its always a blessing! I bet you would enjoy it if you could attend. :)

That's awesome! I'm sure I would enjoy it too :) I bet your 3 are rapidly maturing and growing. Time does fly doesnt it...
I had time out at the mall with the 'married' one yesterday.. lots of fun, she is a mature young woman, loves to cook, sew, bakes her own bread, and showed me some knitting. Soon she will go back to university to do her masters in public health. Right now she is working 2 jobs to help get her hubby through his last year of school. But they are very happy!

It's because they have a brilliant loving mother :)
What you do with and for them now will mold them into wonderful adults one day. I still pray for my kids every day and that has not been in vain.

my friend and i gave up facebook for a week because we had alot of homework that week that we knew we'd procrastinate from. it was honestly the best week ever. i got so much more done. i spent more time in quiet time, i worked out more, i went to bed earlier. so i deactivated mine and its been that way for months. im sure some people can handle it, but i wasn't one of them. :p

I only use fb to communicate with friends, find friends, and play an occasional game app or two. But those reasons in the link, especially number 5, really get my thinking. Now that I know that fb "owns" my info, it makes me feel uncomfortable. I wouldn't want anyone having all my information, even my friends because anything can happen. Still, I don't use it much so it's not that much of a concern but still it's a bit worrying.

Because of facebook, I was able to get my keys back when I dropped them in the lake today. Friends subscribe to my statuses, saw my offer of $10 to wade in the water to find them, and promptly came to the rescue. Best $10 I've ever spent. It would have cost $35 to replace my dorm key and card... for two days left of the semester (well, 2 hours since that's all it will take to finish my exams). Ripoff.

One of my son's friends joked on his Status Message by saying something "not so nice" although it was a joke, the authorities called his home and told him to change the message. Hmmm....
does that tell you anything how "well monitored" facebook is? The point of this OP was to make people think a bit about the privacy they are losing by having facebook. You cannot deleted or erase anything once it's typed or uploaded.
Question: who owns facebook?

Hmmmm... and he says:

Zuckerberg is saying, “Trust us.” But it is difficult to trust a company that is stripping users of rights they’ve become accustomed to, even if hardly any of them ever actually asserted those rights in practice. And the principle that you should be able to delete your data from the Facebook service is one that many would argue trumps the good that is done by letting Facebook keep it. If I upload a picture which I later regret uploading, why shouldn’t I be able to erase it from Facebook forever, even if some of my friends have already seen it? And should there be different rules for different media? Most people consider the messages in their inbox to be theirs, even if the sender wishes they’d never sent it? And as this data is shared beyond Facebook across the Web, who controls what becomes even harder to determine.
Like Zuckerberg says, it’s complicated.

Facebook is EVIL and Zuckerberg is probably the anti-christ. Its sounds ridiculous but here are some facts to support it:

- a film about Facebook rose to the top of the movie scene
- Zuckerberg is a young billionaire who admits to selling YOUR personal information to businesses so he can make money off it
- Once you join Facebok, you CANNOT un-join it.
- Facebook is in the process of developing its own real currency which they hope will be used worldwide.
- Facebok has been cited in 1 out of every 5 divorce cases in the US
- Over 500 million are now on FB and the number is growing quickly

How much longer before no one can buy or sell without having a facebook account?
