Certainly not. Where did you get that idea?

There are a few martial arts that have mystic mumbo-jumbo mixed in. That doesn't mean ALL of them do, just because they came from a country that is not the USA. Some of them are very scientific studies of how the body moves and how to use it to stop an attacker cold.

If martial arts are ALL occult, does that include wrestling? Boxing? If not, why not?
I had asked if you believed that "all religions worship the same god" because of your unwillingness to discuss the three part recaps, but nevertheless, I am glad to learn from you that you do not believe that heresy. However, there are deceivers among us that do. You are welcome to prayerfully read and consider the facts that I present in my posts, and over a short period of time, just as I did with Segment 1 of the above two posts, I will break down the Occultic ties of Martial Arts, as well as some other deceptions that many Christians are unaware of.

You keep making this personal.
do you have anything to do with your time other than to stalk and harass this woman?

for example do you ever talk or even think about Jesus of Nazareth?

the individuals that have hi-jacked this thread, like a pack of wolves, for the purpose of defending the Occult practices of Martial Arts
the people talking about the thread topic aren't the ones 'hijacking' the thread.

the person spending half their day posting malicious personal attack after malicious personal attack against another member -- as though slandering and defaming her is your sole purpose in visiting this website -- is the one 'hijacking'

1 Young knight, learn

prologue from Johannes Liechtanauer's martial arts fechtbüch; ((probably)) late 14th early 15th century Europe.
his first instruction:

love God and respect women.

given the context of the medieval German origin, there is no controversy over who master Liechtenauer is referring to when he says 'love God' -- JESUS OF NAZARETH

does anyone see anything 'occult' about this?
@J-T any comment?
or does discussing something related to the thread topic not fit in with your personal vendetta?

truly, 'all arts have length and measure'
there is a lot of carryover between skillfulness in physical combat and wisdom in our spiritual warfare:

A worthless person, a wicked man,
Walks with a perverse mouth;
He winks with his eyes,
He shuffles his feet,
He points with his fingers;
Perversity is in his heart,
He devises evil continually,
He sows discord.
Therefore his calamity shall come suddenly;
Suddenly he shall be broken without remedy.
These six things the Lord hates,
Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:
A proud look,
A lying tongue,
Hands that shed innocent blood,
A heart that devises wicked plans,
Feet that are swift in running to evil,
A false witness who speaks lies,
And one who sows discord among brethren.
(Proverbs 6:12-19)
do y'all perceive how each of the wicked aspects of the evil man described here in the scripture, are counter to the maxim that 'all arts have length and measure' ?

be wise as serpents, and gentle as doves; be on your guard against men
(Matthew 10:16)

Christ instructs us here about length and measure; Solomon describes how despicable persons run counter to it. their destruction will come suddenly, and without remedy.

It is easy to tell. If there is a bunch of meditation or yoga involved, you know its a spiritual exercise not of Christian origin.

Boxing has no spiritual element to it whatsoever, its a sport, same thing for wrestling. There is a reason a wrestler or a boxer will always absolutely DESTROY any kung fu clowns in a street fight.

Also notice J-T never answered the question about wrestling or boxing.

Not according to J-T. He lumps them all in one bowl and claims they are all occult.

It's like saying "Some murderers use guns, so everybody who owns a gun must be a murderer, or at least want to kill somebody."

J-T, still waiting for the justification of wrestling and boxing. If ALL martial arts are occult, why are wrestling and boxing not?

I hope I'm not interrupting, but I just wanted to say that SoulWeaver has been a great Christian encouragement and sister in Christ.

My Bible reading this morning was about Jabez, mentioned in 1 Chronicles 4: 9-10 -- "Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers... And Jabez called on the the God of Israel, 'Oh, that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!' And God granted what he requested."

The reason I'm writing out this passage is because the footnote in my Bible says, "Jabez asked God to turn any curse associated with his name -- which means, 'He Will Cause Pain' -- into a blessing (instead.)"

For anyone who takes the time to read her posts and get to know SoulWeaver, she is a wonderful friend.

And that is my prayer for her, that God will transform any curses or criticism directed at her into blessings on her and her family instead.

Be blessed, and hope you all have a wonderful day.

Well it worked for Balaam... of course it took a donkey to make it happen. But "jack-donkey" has already been referenced, so that's a good indication I think. (y)

Genesis 14:14-15
Now when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his three hundred and eighteen trained [servants] who were born in his own house, and went in pursuit as far as Dan. He divided his forces against them by night, and he and his servants attacked them and pursued them as far as Hobah, which [is] north of Damascus.

Abram had a few hundred armed, "trained" men with which he defeated an entire army.
Trained in what?
Context tells us, trained in martial arts

@J-T is it your position that Abram was an occultist?

For someone that speaks about "slander", you certainly don't mind dishing out your own as you have chosen to turn a blind eye to the facts that I have already posted. I have not, at any time, "stalked" or "harrassed" your sister "Soul Weaver". In fact, you will not find any evidence of such egregious anywhere in the CC Forum. There is something really funky with your faulty logic. Would you say that someone that has called out the likes of Joseph Smith, Charles Taze Russell, and Ellen G. White as being the false prophets that they were to be considered "harrassment"? If those individuals were still alive today, and were members of this Forum, and people such as myself were to publicly confront them in an open Forum to call them out for being false prophets, even citing proof, would you say that is "harrassment" and or "stalking"? What about the likes of Jim Jones, who was a false Christ along with Charles Manson, would you also ignore the evil things that they taught and go to bat defending them, if they were "members"? Does "membership" make everyone a Christian that professes to be a Christian? Calling someone out as being a Witch, false prophet, false teacher, and so forth, is something that should be done responsibly, and I do so citing proof. Just as you defend the individual, even in spite of what I had already gathered and put together, albeit there is more to expound upon, it is also my experience in the CC Forum, that when I called out certain groups as being the false prophets that they are, such as the Seventh Day Adventists, Mormons, and Jehovah's Witnesses, that there have been those that have fought tooth and nail against me for doing so, as they demonstrated with their own actions that they have fully embraced the hereticks as being their "brothers", "sisters", and fellow so-called "Christians". And the irony is that just as so many people had warned about Jim Jones, and the other aforementioned false Christs and false prophets, there were those people that refused to heed the warning, and the rest is history as the majority of people that followed after Jim Jones were either poisoned or shot to death. Calling people out for the things that they have said or done is not a "malicious attack" either, although perhaps they might see it as such, hoping that the fake shipskins are not ripped away from off of them to reveal that they are wolves.

not once have you even addressed the quote from the tao te ching she discussed as having relevance to the Christian faith nor the quote from the 14th century Christian theologian you mined from her blog.
your intentions are pretty clear.
It is my observation that in addition to your consistent interruptions and running intereference in defense of "Soul Weaver" that have failed to yeild any comment about her use of the Gnostic Occult writings of "Tao Te Ching", other than your having taken a portion from the cited sources that I had posted to redefine the meaning of certain verses of scripture.

I also see more hypocrisy here as the "blog" had been advertised here on the CC Forum for anyone to see, including and most especially the unlearned and unstable to be deceived, via the doctrine of Balaam, and even mentioned in this thread by the blog's owner, but when someone dares to question and/or expose the Baal bending heresies contained in that blog, they are bad, bad, bad. That's exactly the mentality of the likes of Jim Jones, Charles Taze Russell, Joseph Smith, and the many other Cult Leaders like them. This is a Christian Forum; NOT a Hindu, Taoism, Buddhist, JW, SDA, Mormon, and others false prophets' Forum, even though the likes of them join from time to time, as is already evidenced. The point is that you don't get to play Cult Leader against me, and dictate what I can and/or cannot post, because it offends you or your sister.

My position is that "Meister Eckhart" was not a Christian, but instead a Masonic Baal bending Gnostic religion blender, and his teachings are antichrist. But since you perceive the "Meister Eckhart" as having been a "Christian", my question for you why do you believe that, and are you Roman Catholic?

Per your remark,
"not once have you even addressed the quote from the tao te ching she discussed as having relevance to the Christian faith"; If you are in full agreement with "Soul Weaver", you can explain how and why it is that you believe that the Gnostic Occult writing of "Tao Te Ching" of the temple of idols is "relevant" to the Christian faith, and expound upon why it is that you both have such flagrant disregard for what is written in 2Corthians 6:14-18. And while you are at it, please define and explain to me and the others exactly what a "Taoist Christian" is, along with the so-called "Buddhist Christians" and "Zen Christians" and how you bypass and escape what is written in the Bible to be in agreement with those Cults of the Occult.

In this post, you are propagating heresy followed with a foolish and unlearned question. Nowhere, in the context, in any Book of The Holy Bible is it written "Martial Arts". You cannot pull those two words out of the Hebrew or the Greek texts. They simply do not exist, and this is a false teaching. And to drive the point home, there is no specific teaching instruction at all in The Holy Bible about "Martial Arts". Furthermore, in Apostle Paul's epistles per detailed instruction for the setting up of Churches, postitions and offices were outlined, etc., but nowhere in any of the epistles is there anything about "Martial Arts". It is a bold faced lie to teach that "Martial Arts" is of The Holy Bible, either by God, Abraham, King David, or any other King or Prophet of God.

If you think to disagree ... SHOW ME THE HEBREW AND/OR GREEK WORDS FOR "MARTIAL ARTS". You can't!!
"Martial Arts" only originate from temples of idols.
