If you can protest and riot, you can go to church. The Dem governors have come up with such ridiculous rules and people are seeing the hypocrisy of it. The USA is not Canada, they take infringement of rights seriously here. The Gov. of my state has been on tv nightly, telling citizens they are not doing enough to stop this virus. He said people needed to stop having backyard BBQs. He keeps saying "mask up". The very same weekend that he shamed people for BBQs he allowed a major protest to take place in the biggest city in the state. People came from other states. Yet nothing was said about the risk of spreading the virus. Protest is a right, so is attending church. So there should be no issue attending church.
The USA >>>> inconsistently consist when not consistent inconsistently. :p

One difference... protest outside and church inside.... this virus is airborne... circulation and air ducts are an important consideration.. movie theaters opened just recently after churches in fact.

In Canada the protesters socially distanced for the most part and wore masks .... except for the fringe anti maskers.

Biden's home state of Delaware has a Democratic Governor. It's a blue state in fact. Just before Labor Day weekend, and I'm recalling that Friday starting the holiday period, when businesses at vacation spots, like the local beaches, stocked up after prolong closure and then being allowed to open for that break, shut them down just hours before the weekend was to officially start.
All that new inventory to accommodate locals and tourists!
From what I heard businesses at the biggest beach spot, Rehoboth, basically told him to pound sand. They opened.

People are sick of this totalitarian authoritarian grab of our rights and liberties. That's a virus too.
If wearing a mask keeps people safe from this virus, why do we have to stay six feet apart or more while masked?

Why are hundreds of radicals not criticized or dispersed for violating the mask and SD mandates when they gather to protest and threaten our president and before the White House? Is that black privilege accorded BLM racist domestic terrorist radicals alone? Or can the rest of us do the same without being arrested?

That probably makes sense in Canada. ;)
I'd rather live in America. Canadian citizens are fast finding out what authoritarianism is one province at a time. :(

Well they sure didn't social distance here, nor wear masks. And talk about airborne, I don't know if you saw them standing in lines in front of cops and cussing them up in heaps. Pretty sure there were some hard "s" and "b" sounds in their speech, if you catch my drift. You can social distance in church as much as Wal-Mart. Since you have family here you'd know about Lowe's, they've been packed like Christmas even before this mask thing became popular.

ps. Our church takes communion every Sunday. Someone looked online and found a tiny plastic cup with the juice and wafer on the top portion. Someone invented that! Amazing what can be done when there is no choice.

luckily, i did not break it, took it, now i know!!

Too many people were having a hard time opening those so we did away with them and now we just take two cups, put the wafer in the bottom of the first one and the juice in the top one and stack them. They take them out of the tray stacked and get the wafer from the bottom one.

Walmart people shop for food....we.only had food stores open for a long while....no other stores.... when weather was warm enough churches met outside.

The initial problem back in March was this was new virus and no one was sure about how long it was airborne in an enclosed space....you see outside the droplets fall because of wind etc.,
So churches would not have been safe in March under limited knowledge for a mix of people but only for one set of people so perhaps a household a time could go?

Sad.protestors are so rude in the USA...

Ontario opened in phases and yes Lowe did close here...only food.stores were allowed to open.

I think the USA is just too big and therefore .harder for.it to be organized

I wonder about this... if the government brings its full force.to bear on the insurgents there will be much bloodshed...but I wonder if the people will prevail.

I feel like the biggest threat to liberty is surveillance everywhere!!

That keypad you punch at the store and pumps and then adjust your nothing burger mask, puts covid right down your nose.

I can kill covid just as trump did.

That is the solution.

The mask deal is a joke.
Puppets following a hoax.
Ya don't know me and I am high risk so I stay home most of the time no key punching, nose/face touching for me. Trump has been a supper spreader at the White House 34 so far and counting and putting people in harms way wanting to go out when he is still infected. No one has said he has tested negative yet. What if someone he gave it to dies? Is that then manslaughter?

I think over 210,000 people who have died already and all their family members that mourn then would beg to differ with you about this hoax you are talking about. I pray for those sick with it and for the families who have lost their loved ones as it is certainly not a hoax to them.

This virus is VERY serious. A nursing home near my town had 65 deaths from covid. Another had 45 deaths.
Almost everyone I know has a friend, family member or co-worker that has been hospitalized or perished from this "bug".
I am truly sorry for your friends and the losses they have had. I just hurt when I think of people not being able to breathe and dying alone except for a Dr. or nurse at their side but no family members allowed to be with them... what a sad way to die without your family to comfort you. God please be with all those families and the people who suffered and died.

I deny it exists. There is a sickness, yes, but it is not caused by any virus.
Beware brother. There are minions of a devil creating viruses to sell solutions in vaccins.

I would point out to your pulmonary specialist that REGN-COV2 first began in September of 2020 and so it's only been around a few months(not the beginning of the year)...and maybe look for another pulmonary specialist... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/REGN-COV2
Having researched this I think to understand they took monoclonal cells from mice and added antibodies of cured corona patients to inject a sick person with it? Or even the none sick?
Is Trump a walking billboard of big pharma or what is going on here?

Might this even become THE vaccine?

The ultra individualism of the USA is a problem.. and it is being harnessed by the right and left to create polarization and the undoing of that country, a country at war over masks is a sad statement.

In Japan people wear masks all the time out of respect when sick out of courtesy for their neighbor... baffling eh? country that makes no claim to a "christian" heritage.

They closed churches in 1918 as well.
They closed churches in Canada... as far as I can see those churches are open again.
Those packed planes are a problem.
South Korea had the virus under control and one mega church meeting started a second wave.
And mitigation was put in place before the hospitals reached capacity
Dispersion of the virus is a important variable which many overlook and perhaps some hard research into what happened in northern Italy would help
With all your respect, but you can not compare an American to a Japanese person.
Go to any game and clean up after American people and then go to the tribune of Japanse people and compare.
Totally different cultures. Streets of Japan are also maintained by the locals and turned into beautiful gardens.

Bacteria can carry viruses too. If we would compare bacteria transmission between nations some would come out really bad. No Baltimore or ghettos from Brussels in Japan I guess. Not saying there isn’t poverty, but it’s clean. Poverty is more hidden out of sight there. Japanese are also more law abiding and don’t protest that much for little cases.

Agree... and there is a reason for the difference.

The people in Japan have a sense of "we are in this together" and that is carried over from one generation to the next.

While I agree with individual liberty there needs to be a balance with some sense of social responsibility.

do you agree with indavidual liberty?

you singled support for the gov. of califorina wanting folks to wear a mask when eating , just taking it down to take bites of food. that is a slap in the face and spit in the eye of indavidual liberty.

and, i have no problem of us supporting and helping each other. but, we do not need government overreach to do it.

( the virus is overhyped and overcounted, so not a lot of mitigation is needed.)

Perhaps. But if the minions were really any good at creating viruses, they wouldn't need the vaccines to poison us with, now would they? :)

So far it seems only the elite have the luxury of obtaining it so maybe in the years to come we will know.
