Water Baptism represents THE DEATH ,BURIAL, AND THE RESURECTION, AND TEACHES US TO BE BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF JESUS WHICH = YESUAH THE ONLY NAME WHEREBY WE CAN BE SAVED, NOT IN 3 TITLES, IF I ask you what your fathers name is you wouldn't tell ME FATHER, AND IF I ASK YOU WHAT YOUR SONS NAME IS YOU WOULDN'T TELL ME HIS NAME IS SON, UNLESS YOU DON'T KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A NAME AND A TITLE IS,, AND IT ALSO MAKES THE APOSLES LIERS, YESUAH SAID IN THE NAME, AND THE NAME ISN'T THREE TITLES, THINK ABOUT IT ALL OF YOU THAT READ THIS< THEN STUDY< FOR IT IS VERY EASY TO SEE IN THE BIBLE< IF YOU KNOW THAT THE WHOLE BIBLE AGREES ALL THE WAY THROUGH, AND DON'T LIE, AND THAT IT DON'T SAY ONE THING IN ONE PLACE AND SOMETHING ELSE IN ANOTHER PLACE.

With all the antagonism in this thread I think the Apostle Paul would reiterate his words to the Corinthians:
"I thank God that I baptized none of you"

Are you using the Scripture from 1 John to state that water baptism is essential for salvation? And are you also using Acts 2:38 to do the same? If so, then we will surely be in disagreement.
BEING BAPTIZED IS PART OF OUR FAITH OF FOLLOWING JESUS = YESUAH, AND represents, THE DEATH, THE BURIAL, AND THE RESURECTION, THAT WE NEED TO FOLLOW YESUAH = JESUS IN, IF YOU BELIEVE IN JESUS, MY ADVISE IS TO FOLLOW JESUS AND BE BAPTIZED, IN THE NAME OF YESUAH, NOT IN THREE TITLES<, FATHER, AND SON AND HOLY GHOST IS NOT NAMES, THEY ARE TITLES,

We are saved through faith not a ceremony.
WE have A new COVENANT, YESUAH writes HIS law on our Hearts, His law is the ten commandments, And IF we break HIS commandments, WE HAVE BROKEN OUR covenant with HIM, AND in A lost position, And HAFT to repent of that sin, AND get the blood applied to that SIN,
HEBREWS
10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
10:28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

IF you want to be saved you can't just can't go by one scripture, YOU haft to take the whole BIBLE, if one place tells us that we are lost, then we are lost, till we get our life lined up with what that scripture says,
WE can't just pick out what we like, we will end up lost, if we do that,

was there a baptismal in Aquila & Priscilla's house?
Oh wait, I don't matter what they had at their house being that they left it and went with Paul to Ephisus.

which of these is a corporeal, tangible object: the parable, the meaning of it, or neither?

It is to clear the conscience (1st Pet.3:21)
i take it that 'the answer of a good conscience toward God' means this is what one naturally does when one's conscience is clear.
not that this clears the conscience, but that the enmity being taken away, being justified through faith, putting away the filth of the flesh is what is fitting and right.

when Zacchaeus ((Luke 19:1-10)) declared he would give half his possessions to the poor and repaying double the penalty required by the law to anyone he had cheated, it wasn't these financial acts that brought salvation to his house; rather, it was Salvation - in person - having come to his house that moved him to do those things, which became visible testimony of the invisible.
Jesus Christ, The Invisible God made Visible, came to his house
to seek and to save the lost -- and there were tangible repercussions in the answer of Zacchaeus's good conscience. when a shepherd finds a lost sheep, does he wash and groom him immediately in the wilderness or when he has brought him back into the fold? but at what point is he 'found'?

((as i see it)) :)

Salvation is by the grace of God through faith in Jesus. When Jesus spoke of the importance of Baptism how are we to dismiss it? Mark 16 “...Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.”
Notice? It isn't saying Salvation saves. It also isn't saying Baptism isn't necessary. They who believe and are Baptized will be saved.

Jesus’ Final Public Words
John 12:44 But Jesus shouted out,[cq] “The one who believes in me does not believe in me, but in the one who sent me,[cr] 45 and the one who sees me sees the one who sent me.[cs] 46 I have come as a light into the world, so that everyone who believes in me should not remain in darkness. 47 If anyone[ct] hears my words and does not obey them,[cu] I do not judge him. For I have not come to judge the world, but to save the world.[cv] 48 The one who rejects me and does not accept[cw] my words has a judge;[cx] the word[cy] I have spoken will judge him at the last day. 49 For I have not spoken from my own authority,[cz] but the Father himself who sent me has commanded me[da] what I should say and what I should speak. 50 And I know that his commandment is eternal life.[db] Thus the things I say, I say just as the Father has told me.”[dc]

Sometimes in this type discussion people think because the apostle Paul said he is not sent to baptize but to teach, 1 Corinthians 1:17, that this means Baptism isn't necessary or vital to our salvation. That's not true at all.
If we read chapter 1 in context we see that Paul was speaking of his purpose under Christ, that of teaching, not baptizing. This does not mean Paul did not believe Baptism was part of salvation.
What is salvation?
Acts 2:38 Peter said to them, “Repent, and each one of you be baptized[cb] in the name of Jesus Christ[cc] for[cd] the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.[ce] 39 For the promise[cf] is for you and your children, and for all who are far away, as many as the Lord our God will call to himself.”

1 Corinthians 1
Acts 9 shows us that Paul was baptized. And he knew it was to cleanse him of his sins. Perhaps one of the most eloquent sermons Paul gave as pertains to sins and Baptism and salvation. And now what are you waiting for?[bf] Get up,[bg] be baptized, and have your sins washed away,[bh] calling on his name.’[bi]
He also taught Baptism was necessary for the salvation of the sinner.

The Believer’s Freedom from Sin’s Domination
Romans 6 What shall we say then? Are we to remain in sin so that grace may increase? 2 Absolutely not! How can we who died to sin still live in it? 3 Or do you not know that as many as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we have been buried with him through baptism into death, in order that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too may live a new life.

Galatians 3
Sons of God Are Heirs of Promise
23 Now before faith[ax] came we were held in custody under the law, being kept as prisoners[ay] until the coming faith would be revealed. 24 Thus the law had become our guardian[az] until Christ, so that we could be declared righteous[ba] by faith. 25 But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian.[bb] 26 For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God through faith.[bc] 27 For all of you who[bd] were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave[be] nor free, there is neither male nor female[bf]—for all of you are one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants,[bg] heirs according to the promise.

And as we have noticed, Jesus repeatedly spoke of the importance of Baptism. Again, Mark 16:15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 The one who believes and is baptized will be saved, but the one who does not believe will be condemned. 17 These signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages;[j] 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands, and whatever poison they drink will not harm them;[k] they will place their hands on the sick and they will be well.” 19 After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. 20 They went out and proclaimed everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the word through the accompanying signs.

i wonder if Paul isn't making a distinction here between the ministry of John the baptist, preparing the way for the LORD, and the gospel, declaring The Way of the LORD. . . ?

there's baptism associated with each -- in Acts 18:25 & 19:3 they are described as distinct. were the apostles baptized by John? were they then baptized again? Christ baptized no one with water ((John 4:2)) -- how then were the apostles themselves baptized into Christ?
