Well Jesus dealt with the law and nailed it to the cross ..now what?
Jesus fulfilled the law, He did not abolish it. Believe what you want in regards to the 10 Commandments as I would not lose any sleep over it if you believe that they are now obsolete. I'm moving forward now. I believe that we are through here.

They are fulfilled by Christ . Salvation is not by the deeds of the law .

Yeah, I already know that. Salvation is not earned but rather comes from the grace of God by Jesus dying on the cross for our confessed sins and inviting the Holy Spirit to live in your heart to comfort and guide you in the life-long repentance process.

No thats not the Gospel. its by faith . Simple .Believing the Gospel to receiving Jesus and being sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption.

My fear is that you don't understand grace perhaps. ?
John 1.17
For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
I understand Grace just fine, as we need it because you can not be saved by the law. The law just shows you what sin is not save you from it.

I think Sabbath keepers do not agree with you on this point, as to what was nailed to the cross. So you have to first be on the same page to what is being put on the cross here. You are talking about Col 2:4 right?

Genesis tells us:

  1. God created the world in six days.
  2. By the seventh day, creation was complete.
  3. God rested [Hebrew: sabbatized] on the seventh day.
  4. He blessed the seventh day and made it holy (Genesis 2:2-3).
However, there are several things that Genesis does not tell us:

  1. It does not say that humans rested.
  2. It does not say that humans were told to follow God’s example.
  3. It does not say that humans were told to rest.
  4. It does not say that God taught Adam and Eve on the Sabbath.
  5. It does not say that God created the Sabbath.
  6. It does not say that humans kept the Sabbath.

IF someone can tell me why people keep Sunday? Is it because Jesus rose on the 1st day of the week? IF so, then why would you need the Lords supper if you have Sunday to replace it. Because he says do this in remembrances of me right?. To me its clear that Sunday keeping is not biblical. What day does this leave for people to come together on then? The Sabbath of course. for Sunday is a lie made by Satan to try and make us forget. Which is why the commandment says Remember. It has been forgotten by most of those who confess to believe in Christ.

  1. It does not say that humans rested. (Did Jesus not say? (The Sabbath was made for man? Mark 2:27)
  2. It does not say that humans were told to follow God's example. (Says Remember Ex 20)
  3. It does not say that humans were told to rest. (Do you know if Adam and Eve rested? I would have to say yes they did rest Mar 2:27)
  4. Its does not say that God taught Adam and Eve on the Sabbath. ( the very making of the Sabbath as being holy shows they were taught about rest. )
  5. It does not say that God created the sabbath ( Did God not create the world in 7 days?) Gen
  6. It does not say that humans kept the Sabbath (Does it say they did not keep the sabbath somewhere?)

Using a stick man for an argument does not prove your point. for it is the Bible as a whole we must use not just the part that we think by first glans shares are point of view.

what in the world do you mean that "Sunday Keeping" is not biblical? How do you keep sunday?

"this is the day that the Lord hath made" the devil has never made a day.....everyday belongs to God!

how is "sunday a lie made by satan?" and if so in Acts 20:7 was Paul being used by the devil to preach to the disciples on the first day of week?

i am not claiming sunday is the sabbath day
nor do i believe for a minute that you or anyone else on this thread "KEEPS" the sabbath day.

do you cook on the sabbath? do you buy or sell on the sabbath? do you use your heat/air on sabbath? do you do your own pleasure on the sabbath? if you do you do not KEEP the sabbath

James 2:10 "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all"

You need a ' do not murder ' to stop you ? My point is that the law is not the standard to live by ..Grace is
That doesn't make sense. Grace is that we are accepted even though we don't earn it. We are to give up our sins to Christ and put the spirit of Christ within us. How could we possibly have the spirit of Christ within and have our hopes and desires in sin?

There is a commandment in Exodus wherein God said, remember the sabbath day and keep it holy.
Does that count?
Did Jesus say the sabbath day is done away with?

If God's grace is what saves people then how is his laws not part of that compact? Didn't God say in both testaments that he'd write his laws on the hearts of his faithful? If he gave his grace for the salvation of the world in the new testament, how are his laws written on hearts in that new covenant not part of what makes his grace workable in the formerly fallen human heart?
His grace saves but we can go about living life as before? What effect does grace have then?

sure it counts but it has nothing to do with my post....i was told God established sabbath for man in Genesis

Did Jesus say the sabbath day is done away with?
Hosea 2:11 said sabbath would cease

WAS JESUS WRONG FOR THIS:
John 9 Jesus commanded a man to break the sabbath and go wash in pool of siloam.....the sabbath keepers accused Jesus of being a sinner saying "this man is not of God because he keepeth not the sabbath day...."

finally: Colossians 2 does a real good job of "nailing it to the cross" and saying "let no man judge you in respect of sabbath days.......he that regardeth not the day regardeth it not unto the Lord...."

do you buy on the sabbath?
do you sell on the sabbath?
do you work at all on the sabbath?
do you cook on the sabbath?
do you use your fireplace, heat/air on sabbath?

if so you dont keep the sabbath either
