If President Trump refuses to leave or surrender his office by January 20, 2021. Will Mike Pence need to be sworn in according to the 25th amendment temporarily, in order to proceed with the Inauguration? How much time will be allowed for Trump to leave? And if he still refuses, who will remove him?

His presidency will end on January 20, 2021.
Done, finito

The Twentieth Amendment says that the president’s and vice president’s terms “shall end at noon on the 20th day of January … and the terms of their successors shall then begin.”

He loses his constitutional authority at that point... so nothing he can do.

I guess they could use force, arrest and charge him, but I doubt that will happen.

It is all according to what happens when the states secure their electoral votes. They are still in progress due to recounts and legal matters.

If it isn't done by December 8th or 14th then other constitutional matters take affect.

I doubt it. Trump is about 5 steps ahead of the Communists. Light vs. Darkness. It's an Occult/Freemason thing. I think Trump and the military have this in the bag, the trick now is convincing the Democrat supporters he had it in the bag, and how evil those cheating Communists are. (And they are - just what he will deliver is no salvation, either).

Some guys in white coats with a straight jacket will due. ;)

So you say you don't want to fight over this issue, then make nasty comments like this. Which is it brother? Because many of us who live in this country, unlike EH, are extremely concerned about this situation. And we don't find it funny at all. I don't find it funny that two champions of abortion might take the WH. I don't find it funny that two people could gain the WH and defund police, give free healthcare to illegal immigrants, shut down and bankrupt the country, pass the Green New Deal and hike heating costs so high we can't afford it. I believe EH is single. Those of us who are married, those who have families to feed don't find this so funny. Who is going to pay for all this "free stuff"?! The people who can't afford to feed their OWN families thanks to this virus. So no, it's not funny at all. And I'd really appreciate if you'd knock it off. EH doesn't live here, she can afford to laugh. But it grieves me. I don't want America to become Canada. I left for a reason. I'd appreciate if you'd take your fellow citizens into consideration. Canadians have their own issues to worry about. and they shouldn't be laughing and gloating over what happens here. They wouldn't appreciate it if it was done to them.

I have had her on ignore since asking her to please stop instigating in a very contentious and troubling time for America. She not only didn’t abate her ridicule, possibly becoming an agent of peace, or pray on the situation, she actually doubled her efforts to poke the bees nest, and hurt people.

I get no joy in saying you are better off putting her and a couple of others, on permanent ignore.

Be blessed sister. God is still in control.

If it makes you feel any better - and it probably doesn't - I'm fairly sure the US won't become Canada. I think Trump and his team will pull through this little hiccup, but in a way to expose the Communists and lying Media so much that anyone who believes them ever again probably belongs in one of those aforementioned white straight jackets.

It's happening already. Even honest Democrats (a rare breed, I know) are saying "I may not be a Republican, but I'm 100% American, and a vote stolen by Cheatin' Joe is a vote stolen from us all". Well, maybe not those exact words, but with a similar meaning. The US will overcome this Communist takeover (God willing), and then start to reverse the Communism that has taken over the world.

To give you an example of which are the new Communists, just look at the world leaders who congratulated Cheatin' Joe for his steal, and those who didn't. You'll likely be surprised - the West has largely gone red (October red).

I'm enjoying all the gloating at present, because it's going to be reversed when Trump wins. And imagine how that's going to feel? Then maybe you'll see what a sore loser is. Or maybe not? Maybe the exposure of the dark deeds will be so dark, even the most hardened Commies will be ashamed of their support for the Democrat Communists. :)

Who is EH? I realize that many folks on CC don't watch main stream news but prefer Fox. I myself don't watch any. Last night when I came out of my room for dinner, that was the subject on the TV that the others here was watching. It was also what the others were talking about.
I have thought and shared for a long time now, that I oppose Donald Trump and think he is a menace and should be removed from office. The GOP should have figured it out and stepped in. But they've got blinders on too. Well by a majority vote it appears others agree. I don't know anyone who is in favor of Slow Joe Biden but I believe people voted for him just to get rid of Trump.

I have been saying for years that the national debt is out of control and if the stupid politicians don't figure out a way to bring it back from the brink of disaster the USA will no longer be able to keep going. Too much credit and not enough income = bankruptcy.

Now we have the economic disaster compounded by covid. Millions of people are sick. Millions more out of work. As a nation we buy more than we sell and we are running out of money and options. There's no easy way out. Hey don't blame me I've been sounding the warning all along. It's not my fault if nobody has been listening.

It's like the USA has a cancer but we are in denial. Trump is just a spokesman for the bankers and capitalists. They under the delusion that things will get better with pep talks and bandages. We need get brave and cut the cancer out and yes it will be painful. If we don't, it will become terminal. the cancer is wasting money on foreign wars. Stop giving money to oil companies, they can afford to do their own exploration. Stop bailouts and I'm talking about banks, automakers, wall street etc. I know you are anti socialist too. people turn to socialism when they feel taken for granted, ignored or abandoned. That's how it creeps in. Do you think Biden and Harris can turn the nation that way without our permission? Your giving them way more power and authority than they'll ever get. The catch is their ability to influence the people that we have to fear.

The more disenchanted people feel and the more disillusioned they become the more likely they are to reach out for help to the enemy. If you study history, you'll see it's happened repeatedly too many times to ignore. If you study the Old Testament you'll see that God allows these things to happen when the people stop worshiping him in order to peruse their own carnal desires of greed, lust, power, money, drunkenness'(drug abuse counts), idolatry and thinking that by their will they can do whatever they want... Like gods.

Now about me. I've given up fighting repeatedly. I'd rather watch "The Three Stooges," eat popcorn and watch the show unveil. If I can't stop the ship from sinking, I can't swim and I can't find a life boat. As fare as this journey has gone, the ride is about over. If the Lord dosn't rescue the United States soon it's going down. Don't get mad at me, I warned you. I'll probably go down with ship too. Pass the Pepsi please, this show is almost over,

I still can't quite understand why you took what I said about Trump personally. I only wanted to make peace with you. I was picking on Trump, not you! He's only a temporary servant/employee of, we the people.

You're picking on the people that support him. I don't know why you can't see that.

Because I'm hoping they'll change their minds. If he would have gotten ousted and we got Pence, and he did a fair job, maybe we wouldn't have Biden or Harris to be so concerned about. I know a died in the wool republican lady that said "I'm so disgusted, I voted for my dog snickers." She leaves the room when she hears him start talking. And she's terrified that Harris might become president if something happens to Biden. I've read others that basically say the same things, without the dog of course.

It's not like I don't criticize Biden when I call him Slow Joe. As a former mechanic calling someone slow means that they're lazy, stupid. or incompetent. Sometimes I forget that everybody dosn't speak 'gearhead'. We say things like "he's a nice guy, he's got some good tools, to bad he's slow." When we have shares in flat rate the majority of the mechanics in the shop can vote to let th slow guy go. That means he's fired. So when I say slow Joe, it means that he shouldn't be working for us.

The more that goes on, it convinces me we need someone like Trump all the more. We are at war with a radical agenda. An agenda that doesn't care about those who believe differently and would easily adopt anti-American policies that only make our enemies stronger. How fast do you think the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood would be invited back into the White House like they were under Obama? Biden has already said he would restart the Iranian Nuclear Deal.

Oh hogwash. It's Trumps arrogance that makes him so dislikeable. And he seems to be more concerned with helping the rich, stay rich, than helping the working poor and since threr are more poor people than rich, it's only logical that the majority opposes him.

In fact the truth is probley alot of people who can't stand Trump voted for him anyways because they oppose Biden and or are afraid of socialism. It was like choosing between two evils. I chose neither because I will not chose evil.

Dislikable? He has millions of people who love him, Israel loves him, and more people loved him on the liberal side of course, before he ran for office. I believe it is the wealthy class that provides jobs for the middle and lower class. Of course, we must define poor. Americans in comparison to the world are quite wealthy.
