The more I hear from you I think you are a saved person. But then we still have to negotiate through this miserable world.
1) the church we were saved is flawed, even more then we realize.
2) everything is top down meaning that we are taught from the pastor, we are taught from the biblestudy and then we go home and want to learn more so we go online or buy books or what have you and again the teaching we get is top-down. The problem with top down you can see is that it is corrupting. The biggest top down is the Roman Church and it is most corrupt.

So we the little guy who got saved is getting contantly bombarded top down with amix of true and false teachings.
USA we have been persecution free pretty much for 200+ years. Thus the main level of attack is from false teachers and false teachings that have percolated into the church.

Where they have succeeded the most is in attacking eschotology. Eschatology is part of the armor of god. Once we are saved it is part of the armor for use to stand against the evil schemes of the devil which at this time is false teachings.
The false teachers here in America have take 80% of Revelation from us telling us that it is "still to the future". They ahve taken other verses like Matthew 24 and 2 Thessalonians 2 from us as well saying it too "is still to the future".

The false teachers have succeeded in taking away like 1/4 of the New Testament from use. They have succeeded in taking some of the armor from us.

You Have to throw out EVERYTHING you ahve been taught top down on eschatology. EVERYTHING. You have to come at it from a new perspective. You have two advocates: 1 the WORD, 2 the Holy Spirit. and your have a third source at your finger tips. 3) Historical Record.

You have Church History and Ancient History. This is what is also needed to make sense of the biblical prophesies.

Test everything.
The true church that Jesus set up has been worshiping God sense the days of the apostles, and was never a part of the Roman Catholic Church, even though they tried to wipe it out, with the help of Saul. It is still singing and praying and preaching the gospel of Christ to this day, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.

The church, which is the kingdom of God, is not a denomination that came out of the reformation from the RCC in the 1500's, and never was a part of the RCC, that tried to wipe them out, with the help of Saul.
I am still asking what church is it so I can try it out.

I saw your post #111. Primitive Baptist I heard you recommend.

I actually was researching different Baptist churches and I found something that is both fascinating and important perhaps.
Traditionally there were two types of Baptists:
1) General Baptists
2) Particular Baptists

The General Baptists
A) were for general atonement meaning that Christ died for all; thus they were moderate in their Calvinism.
B) they completely separated from the Church of England.

The Particular Baptists
A) were for particular or limited atonement meaning that Christ died for some; thus they were more hyper in their Calvinism.
B) they were not completely separated from the Church of England.

Where does Primitive Baptists fall?
Are they more in line with 1) General Baptists or are they more in line with 2) Particular Baptists?

It may be difficult to find. To experience that, you have to start being the church, rather than going to church.

I found a primitive baptist church in a Georgia
http://mtzionprimitivebaptist.org/articlesoffaithwbckgrnd-revised_080209.htm

1) They do "feet washing" which was specifically for only Jesus to do as a demonstration that He must perform the act that will cleanse us. For anyone else to do the "feet washing" I believe this is error.

2) they believe in the doctrine of original sin. Original sin is a catholic doctrine and I read somewhere its origin was from St. Augustine a Doctor of the Roman Church. It is an indication they have not fully broken from the Church of England, which never fully broke from the Church of Rome.

3) They believe in the doctrine of particular election. So they are more Particular Baptists. Another indication they have not fully broken from the Church of England.

And there are a couple other weird things in their Articles of Faith.

They are not of the General Baptists. I would not be interested in Primitive Baptists.

Look, I don't want to be too critical of the primitive baptists. Maybe they have sufficently broken from the Church of England.
Let me not be too critical.

For what I have found is this:
John 13:1–17 recounts Jesus' performance of this act. In verses 13:14–17, He instructs His disciples: If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet.

But this I believe is is not to be taken literally.

Washing of feet is a metaphor. Us literally washing each others' feet is not beneficial. I see it more referring that any one of us is not an island. None of us has all the answers. We each have gifts. But we each have weaknesses. We need to fellowship with other believers and and let iron sharpen iron. Thus we need to "Wash each other's feet".

Overall Primitive Baptist seems to fundamental for me. But Many blessings to them!

If this is true, then as I stated in my post, one of the problems with the church is it got away from its roots, and instead of becoming a relational entity, it became an organization

your Telling what they believe, the churches in acts did, it was not about what they believed, they did not just meet on Sunday and we’d, and their churches were not worship services, it was meeting in groups and fellowship ing together. By breaking bread (eating dinner together) praying, reading and studying together the apostles doctrine. all,the things they devoted themselves continually to as paul said in acts 2

I am sorry, I misunderstood your question. The church is small in number, and are not located in a lot of city and towns. If I could have the state that you live in, I could give you a list of the communities they are in.

There is an invisible church, which consists of all of God's elect, but are teaching a false doctrine. and there is a visible church, which is small in number, and I believe it to be the Primitive Baptist.

yeah , at my church there is some fellowship, some getting together in small groups, but for much of the journey I am alone.

In reference to your 1) your comments on washing feet; Jesus commanded us in our communion service to take of the wine, and unleavened bread, and to wash each other's feet, John 13:14-15, If I then your Lord and Master, have washed your feet' ye also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.

2) They believe that all mankind inherited the sin of Adam, and are born in their natural birth as sinners.

3) Church history indicates that they were never a part of the Catholic church, and therefore were never included in the reformation period of the 1500's.

The articles of faith that you posted were all backed up by numerous scripture references. Did you reference them before you made your comments?

I think what Breno was suggesting is that the church is not the building, or place that they meet, but is within the individual christian.

The model Lord's prayer in Matt 6 starts out as "Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done "IN" earth", and not "ON" earth, as many quote it. The in earth has reference to our bodies of glay.

You are correct, but there is a remnant within that one invisible church that is the visible church, that has alway been faithful to her husband. In the scriptures there are several names that reference the church, such as the remnant, the few, the kingdom of God, the church of Christ, the little flock, etc.

You believe the false prophet to be the Church?

Biblical symbolism relating to the Church is always (Feminine) She, Her, the masculine dont cut it, it would have been the false prophetess if it was the Church?
The State Church is a false Church. It is not the true church of the New Testament. So "Feminine" does not apply to the false Church hence why it is referred to at times as He. The power behind a false Church is demonic (masculine).
