Oh shoot!!!!!!!!!!!!! I forgot to allow multiple answers!!!!!! And I can't change it. NOOOOOOOOO! Sorry.

lol oops.

I think of all things, secular TV is the hardest thing to get around. The Christian channel is just.. bleh. But I think there's a difference b/t secular tv and family tv. Like Chopped is family, but Hell's Kitchen it not. Disney is family, TeenNick is mostly not. Full House is family, Secret Life is not. I stick to the family shows.

I'll watch PG movies anytime; only certain PG13 movies based on content. Some PG13 really are pushing the R line.

Secular reading? I like Christian books, classics, and historical novels. "Secular" books to me are those cheesy romance novels that are really written porn. But like Crime and Punishment I consider a classic, not secular.

Secular music has a vague line too. Jazz and classical music is "secular" but it's also mostly clean and uplifting. Much of classic rock is clean. But the contemporary pop and hiphop I can't listen to unless it's Christian because you never know what will come on the radio next. Certain songs I know are clean I will listen to, but not on the radio.

I don't really watch very much TV aside from sports and some News.

I've never seen the Secular Channel.

umm lets see on tv watch Football and Pro-wrestling. And thats it. Books and Movies I tend to prefer Horror and action stuff. Music, well I like a few christian bands, but not many so thats mostly secular too. christian music just isnt nearly up to par production wise or talent wise, its deressing.

I didnt even know entertainmentism was a word..... im gonna start using that word in everyday conversations. :D i think people will be impressed

anywaaaays

i agree with megatron there. christian music just isnt nearly up to par production wise or talent wise, its deressing. Well except for the deressing part ;)

i watch secular movies, i listen to mostly christian music even though i do it against my better judgement. I watch the secular national Geographic channel most of the time.

I only have seen 2 secular movies and i dont even know where i can find them, i dont see secular TV, i listen secular music very often but not everyday and i use to read a secular book and when i finish it i start another, mostly from Max Lucado.

I watch secular movies and television shows, and read secular books/magazines. I've always listened to secular music, but have done so less over the past couple of years (since I found KLOVE in my car because I'm on the road a lot; it's not like the old mom N pop christian radio stations).

I do try to be careful about the movies, tv shows and books I read. Some of it is simply garbage and I have better things to spend my time on. I also watch christian movies and read christian books, but I've never been much on self-help books, christian or otherwise. I'd rather learn directly from the scriptures, but that's just me.

I listen to KLOVE to!!! thats what i listen to in my car!

today at youth one of the guys talked about how powerful music is... and not just music, movies we watch and Tv and all that media stuff. So i want to challenge you guys to take a big step and not compromise your standards by saying the music has a good beat to it. Because the truth is, for us who live for eternity, all that matters is the lyrics- so what i mean is you are better of listening to horrible sounding music with good lyrics, but of course you don't have to do that because we have great christian music in the market today.

eh sorry but challenge declined. I cant find christian bands that sound like what i like for the most part. Luckily i think the worst my songs lyrics get too are wah she left me or something. nothing bad haha.

i would listen to k-love if i still listened to the radio, but i can play pandora through my car lol

I seem not to understand what secular reading is. Newspapers, christian or secular. Any school apart from theology school i guess people there dont read bibles for exams, secular or not secular? Secular Reading. Tricky!!!

I listen to KLOVE to!!! thats what i listen to in my car!

Before KLOVE came along, the only christian stations I could find were very old people who played VERY OLD music :) They were sincere, but zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.........

When I was a little girl all country music sounded pretty much the same to me...whiney. Same chords, same boring rhythm... But now it seems more like country rock. And now I'm finding that the music played on pop music stations all sounds like hip hop, so I usually switch over to KLOVE or classic rock stations, and even country once in awhile.

When it comes to i\entertainment it is very hard not to listen/watch secular things. Most things are secular not Christian.

I do however feel like there are more choices for music on the radio than for TV. There are several christian stations on network TV ( don't have cable) but they are generally doing sermons and songs. I cant watch that all of the time. There are no sitcoms or other types of shows on those stations. In my area we have 2 christian radio stations and they are both good but I also think that they should play more of a mixed genre of christian songs, thers's not much country or gospel, but just contemporary christian.

Movieas are a whole nother situation. I LOVE rapture movies but thats about it when it comes to Christian movies. The problem is that most of the acting is horrible and plots are slow and boring.

I only really dislike entertainment if it's... Lacking in intelligence or talent, I can't enjoy something that's not well-made. Movies/TV/books, they're just stories, so long as they're well written and executed, and interesting to me, I don't care if it contains things that I would consider wrong in reality, because it's fiction! All my entertainment is secular these days. And no, that doesn't mean my music is about sex/drugs/violence, because none of it is.
