Rom 9:13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

Esau is the FIRSTBORN (flesh birth), Jacob is the SECOND BORN (spirit birth).

Esaus represents unsaved Jews and Gentiles.
Jacob represents saved Jews and Gentiles.

Which one does God love?

Gal 4:22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.
Gal 4:23 But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.

Do you guys understand what that's saying?
BOTH Isaac and Ishmael represent the JEWS.
That is SO IMPORTANT that I have to say it again - BOTH Isaac and Ishmael represent the JEWS.

Ishmael = Jews under the law.
Isaac = Jews under grace.

Ishmael was born of the slave woman - earthly Jerusalem.
Isaac was born of the FREE WOMAN - heavenly Jerusalem.

Isaac was a CHILD OF HEAVENLY JERUSALEM and that ALONE makes him an heir to the promises God made to Abraham. Him being an earthly descendant of Abraham had absolutely nothing to do with him being a child of the promise.

Post the verse that makes you believe that.

Before we get into that, let's dig deeper. Would you consider yourself part of the "covenant theology"? If so, we may need to start there.

Yes he could've called 10,000 angels to deliver him from the hand of the Jews but he didn't. He didn't prevent the Jews from murdering him.

What was the Jewish manner of capital punishment?...

You’ll have to explain what that means. I believe God makes covenants and keeps them.

Apparently you don't... Everlasting seems to be pretty clear to me.

Stoning I guess. But if not mistaken, the Bible says that for whatever reason, the Jews couldn’t put Jesus to death and that’s why they went to the Romans to get it done.

You know I don’t believe that. My whole argument is that the covenant wasnt between God and God hating Jews, it was between God and God loving Jews.

It's simple, right there in the Bible, blinded for a time. Then they will recognize their Messiah. If you don't see it, it's because you don't want to see it. God's calling is irrevocable, His promises everlasting. If God cannot restore the Jews, Christians have no hope of salvation. God keeps His promises.
kaylagrl,
Paul isn't saying someday in the future God will save all Jews because his calling is irrevocable. He's saying unless the gospel is preached to unbelieving Jews and they come to faith in Christ now, they will be damned because God's calling is irrevocable.

Look at his reasoning. He's telling the gentiles they are saved because the Jews ( Pauls himself and other Jewish believers in Jesus) preached the gospel to them (Rom.11:30). So be merciful to unbelieving Jews in return (Rom.11:31).

For the sake of all that Jesus has done, wake up.

Please read Zech. 12
Thus declares the LORD, who stretches out the heavens and lays
the foundation of the earth, who forms the spirit of man within him:

2“Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the
surrounding peoples. Judah will be besieged, as well as Jerusalem.

3On that day, when all the nations of the earth gather against her, I will make Jerusalem
a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who would heave it away will be severely injured.

4On that day, declares the LORD, I will strike every horse with panic, and every rider with madness. I will keep a watchful eye on the house of Judah, but I will strike with blindness all the horses of the nations.

5Then the leaders of Judah will say in their hearts: ‘The people
of Jerusalem are my strength, for the LORD of Hosts is their God.’

6On that day I will make the clans of Judah like a firepot in a woodpile, like a flaming torch among the sheaves; they will consume all the peoples around them on the right and on the left, while the people of Jerusalem remain secure there.

7The LORD will save the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of the house of David and of the people of Jerusalem may not be greater than that of Judah. 8On that day the LORD will defend the people of Jerusalem, so that the weakest among them will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the angela of the LORD going before them.

9So on that day I will set out to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

10Then I will pour out on the house of David and on the people of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and prayer, and they will look on Me,c the One they have pierced. They will mourn for Him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for Him as one grieves for a firstborn son.

11On that day the wailing in Jerusalem will be as great as the wailing of Hadad-rimmon in the plain of Megiddo. 12The land will mourn, each clan on its own: the clan of the house of David and their wives, the clan of the house of Nathan and their wives, 13the clan of the house of Levi and their wives, the clan of Shimei and their wives, 14and all the remaining clans and their wives.

Zec 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

Act 2:15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.
Act 2:16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
Act 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

Joh 19:36 For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken.
Joh 19:37 And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.

Everything that happens in Zechariah 12 took place at the time when Grace was poured out on inhabitants of Jerusalem (the cross) and at the time when they looked up at Jesus on the cross.

For salvation everything you said is truth

Concerning Gods covenant with Abraham,Isaac and Jacob. The verses you posted have absolutely nothing to do with that covenant. Can we please remain on topic
“Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.

Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭3:25-26‬ ‭

again your separating gentile and Jew and gentile those things are done look at what Paul’s saying gentiles are included with Israel there is no other covenant there’s one shepherd and one people

Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances;

for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.

For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2:11-19‬

There’s no difference in Jew and gentile . Abraham’s children the heirs of the promises made to him are made by faith in Christ . The covenant he made with Abraham is what it’s all about not sure how you are separating

“And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.”

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬
“And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earthbe blessed.”

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭12:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.

Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.”

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭17:4-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?”

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭18:18‬ ‭KJV

“And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the Lord, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:

That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;

And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.”

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭22:16-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries;and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;”

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭26:4

Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made.

He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.”

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:16

Paul is saying that Christ is the seed of Abraham ,

“For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:7-9, 16, 26-29‬ ‭KJ

I’m pretty sure what is found in Christ is what was promised to Abraham and his seed

Gal 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

The land was given to Abraham and his ONE SEED, Christ. Gods' chosen people, those that are IN CHRIST are joint heirs with Abraham's ONE SEED Christ.

God hating, stiffnecked, rebellious, flesh descendants of Abraham have no part in the ONE SEED (Christ's) inheritance.
amen no flesh has any part with him whether Israelite or gentile . So it doesn’t matter if one is born an Israelite of the flesh like Peter or a gentile of the flesh like anyone else .

“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:3, 5-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;

but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When you stand for and support people who hate God and Christians, you ARE in sin EG.
Well I do not support them so I am not in sin
bearing false witness is a sin also. When will you repent?

You're taking the same position which Jewish people who don't believe in Jesus take. They say, "Jesus didn't do this or that." So then you need to say, Well, he will in the future."

But Jesus defeated all of the Jewish people's (and all of mankind') enemies (satan, sin and death).

Jesus gives believing Jews and all believers) the peace that passes all human understanding.

Jesus opens the eyes of Jewish believers (and all believers) to what "the land promise) really is, how and when it is entered.

This teaching didn't originate with gentiles. It's all Jewish. I just showed you what the Jews who knew Jesus, who knew God said. And your reply is, God doesn't do that.
It’s like this
if god says a,b,c,d and e will happen

And only a,b and c can be confirmed as fulfilled
the. d and e Must be yet future

You do not spiritualize or make take a symbolic view if d and e so you can make them appear to happen

It’s going back to the basics

Yes, I mentioned that to him a few posts back. We all nailed Him to the cross, our sins.

I think the high priests of the time were possibly somewhat culpable. But the Jews have been mistreated horrifically because of the label "Christ killer". One of the reasons used for the Holocaust. And Christians have been a part of this. They believe all the curses are for the Jews and all the blessings are for them. Romans makes it very clear, we are grafted in, we are not to boast. With the history of anti-Semitism in the church, it's no wonder some Jews don't trust Christians.
Remember their belief originated with Catholicism. For some it’s all they have know. And hard to break. For others the same hate flows through and it’s obvious

Glorify those that are what?! No one today is any more culpable than you or I. Christ died for sinners, all of them. So that makes us all guilty, if you're placing blame. As EG said, He did it willingly.
Strictly speaking, Jesus first coming was only for the lost sheep of the house of Israel. (Matthew 15:24, Romans 15:8)

We gentiles were without Christ during his first coming (Ephesians 2:11-12)

So when you read verses like the following

Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Luke 1:
68 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,

69 And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David;

70 As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began:

71 That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;

72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;

73 The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,

74 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,

75 In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.

It is important not to anticipate revelation and insert Paul's revelation of the mystery into such verses. His people always refer to Jews.

After Paul was revealed the mystery, he never said we gentiles murdered Jesus.

Instead, he stated 2 Cor 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Christ first coming was for Israel only. But God had a plan hidden in him since the start of time, that thru Israel's rejection and crucifying of their Messiah, salvation can also go to the gentiles.

...but in the same token, we should not disregard the many prophecies that state that God will come for them again, they will repent, and they will be restored to the nation God called them to be, the fact they have been punished now as God prophecies and claimed he would do, and still are to this day should lead us to determine that God will also restore them when they repent, as he also prophecies and claimed he would do.
We do have different views here, as well as today as many years ago. I do see these prophecies as already fulfilled in the person and work of Jesus Christ. What is not yet fulfilled is His return. And all the elect even among the jews shall surely be gathered before His return. We can rest well of that.
