Prove to me that the older manuscripts are more accurate. If you can prove it 100% I'll consider it.
I'm not opposed to studying the KJV it's mostly what I studied for the first 3 years. It's the KJV only attitude that I oppose. in english one words may have several meanings while several words may have the same meanings. That's why I feel ,if time allows, we should broaden our horizon.

I can't prove that any more than you can prove they are not. Thats why I compare them with each other. I'm grateful now to have a computer. I no longer need a stack of different bibles.
I'm not using those extinct relics as my defense of the KJV, I don't need to prove they're not older and better. It is really surprising to me that those who read those corrupt copies can't recognize they're corrupt just from reading them. If I knew Greek and Hebrew I could prove whether the older ones are more accurate or not.

Why do think God chose to leave believers in a state of confusion over his word, not knowing which part is right and which part is wrong? Why not just give us his inerrant word?
People quarrel over KJV vs KJV. Have you ever been to a seminary?

It's odd to me that someone would think they could come to the truth by picking and choosing which part of the bible they believe and which part they don't. The bible says we are live by EVERY WORD that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.... not just the ones we think are right.

Seminary is the last place a believer needs to go. They're the ones who teach that our bible is full of errors.

It's not like believers were sitting around reading their KJV's one day and said "hummmm this bible's got mistakes all in it". That's not the way it happened. Back then people revered their bible as the inerrant pure word of God and just assumed that their understanding wasn't quite where it should be to understand the apparent error.

People didn't start disbelieving their KJV until seminary trained preachers started telling them their bibles were corrupt.

The Lord is faithful in His words,
And holy in all His works.

True. It's a shame that the KJV omitted this line.

Ok, explain how "original languages" prove an error in any bible.
Seriously? I think you're being intentionally dense. There have been many examples explained on this forum in the last few years. I'm not doing your homework for you.

Most seminaries thrive in correcting God's word.
How would you know? Have you taken even one class from even one seminary? I have, and your ignorant slander doesn't hold water in that case.

The only way we could say that the KJV added verses would be to have an original manuscript in our hands and comparing the KJV to that original. It's impossible to say what was or was not in the original manuscripts, that's why God allowed them to fade away.
Fallacy: speculation. It's also a non sequitur.

You obviously don't like Catholics. I get that. Nice people, but terrible religion, not biblical at all!

It's funny people who don't like Catholics are so willing to read and defend the KJV, which was translated by Erasmus, a Catholic priest. He is the one who inspired the KJV translation committee. Except, even the corrupted manuscripts he used, had no Johanine comma. But the pope and the RCC said it was in Jerome's Latin Vulgate from the 4th century AD, a very poor translation, because Jerome didn't know Greek very well, and he knew almost nothing about Hebrew. But, it is the only verse that supports the Trinity, so the pope would not listen to Erasmus, who said it was not in any manuscripts at all!

So, KJVO people, are you happy reading a translation basically done by a Catholic priest, under orders from Rome to translate it like Jerome's Vulgate, 12 centuries earlier? I prefer Protestant Bibles. That Protestants translated. Not Catholics or even Anglo-Catholic, which King James was.
Once again I dont support KJVOnlism

The KJV is Gods words in the English language derived from the Byzantine text type, the Alexandrian Text Type, the 1%< minority of manuscript evidence, that supports all modern translations, dosent reflect Gods words, but us a (Counterfeit) of Gods truth

The process shows the decay of the last days, where men are deceiving and being deceived

It's that simple Angela, I have no axe to grind, it's the Last Days, moving to the final hours, things aren't progressing towards truth and good, but towards evil and deception.

It appears you are unfamiliar with the translation of the KJV, perhaps you need to acquaint yourself with the translators, and the process?
