Not true. It wasn't until the publication in 2001 of the English Sanctified Version. Unlike the KJV it is free from all the odious and contemptible corruptions of Popery and Romish doctrine.
This is a false accusation against the translators of the KJV. Please read their preface -- The Translators to the Reader -- to see that they had absolutely nothing to do with Popery and Romish doctrine, which they flatly condemned.

Making false accusations against faithful Christian men of outstanding learning and piety is as despicable (and sinful) as promoting corrupted bible translations. If you want to talk about connections to Rome, you should be talking about Westcott & Hort, who started all this nonsense with their Revised Version in 1881.

And if you are calling the ESV "the English Sanctified Version" it means you know nothing about this corrupt bible version either. It is no different than any of the others.

So if pastors and preachers are bringing people to Christ and teaching Biblical wisdom without the KJV.....how is that possible?

there are some flaws in this document though

the person used a different Greek text, then stated the KJV added, he failed to let us know the Greek used a different text, in which the words in Greek are there, which is why many KJV advocates claim the NIV removed the words. hence we get circular argument when in essence either one could possibly be right depending on which text is the true text. Which we most likely will not know till we get to heaven

he also stated he never saw a KJV with footnotes, I happen to have one which is almost as old as I am (55 year I am) which has footnotes, it is a KJV scofield, reference, I also have and use as my main bible the NKJV scofield reference. There not only is references, but footnotes as well

anyway great article than you

When I pick translations, it's mainly because of the study notes that support a translation.
A Scofield Bible may be next on my list.

Be careful about it's notes on Creation. Remember that the Bible plainly teaches that the Universe was created less than 10,000 years ago.

Can you kindly provide evidence that this is actually happening?
I can testify from personal experience of about 35 years on two continents yes.
You are surely going about with your eyes closed & your ears shut in wilful ignorance if you don't see the evidence.
It beggars belief anyone in the church thought the KJV alone was being used mightily by God in this age.

I have used it since I was a child, the KJV scofield was the first one my parents bought me.

It was always a KJV in my Catholic household and in the Catholic schools I attended.

Yes any bible that has notes all notes should be tested for accuracy, remember it is the persons beliefs he is writing

scofield I believe promotes the gap theory of creation.

My church does not like me using my new king jimmy (as they call it) they mock it, which I am not fond of. Anyway, many people are led to Christ through it, and they generally use the NASB, although many are using esv now.

imstill use my trusty NKJV. All the rest seem odd to me, because I am used to the language

I have read from it, and my church even uses it, but in comparing the words they use to other translations like the NIV and KJV, or the Berean Study Bible which I refer to much of the time now, the ESV does seem to fall short.

Gideons nows uses ESV and other translations but now their bibles arent so popular. I think older peoppe, still prefer KJV.
In their pocket bibles, they had translation on John 3:16 in many languages. I love seeing different lanaguage translations. Even if I cant read them. It shows God loves us no matter what tongue we speak.

Remember the NIV is not a word for word translation like the KJV, NASB or ESV so it will always look different
