Did the Church institute Dec 25th to replace Pagan Festivals with a Christian Theme?

at christmas time dont we have an opportunity to do good to all men? and also show love to our families/housholds?

december 25 is a day most people have off work. Lets use it!

there are 364 other days, to good to everyone. Why do we need a day set aside, to do "good" to all ?

we dont need a day, Im saying we have one thats already there so why not make the opportunity?

if you really wanted to work you could on the day nobdys stopping you. Might be on your own though.

some people are just grouches and always playing devils advocates on forums. Its kinda boring.

Well techincally Jesus was born sometime between september and october the estimated day is september ninth but the 25th is apparently when the magi arrived at his house this day may have pagan roots but the devil loves to corrupt everything that is of God.
For me I adore this time of year because the Christmas spirit is so full of joy and life I relish the Christmas spirit every year and it always fills me with unatural joy this has to come from somehwere and if not God then where?

born in the northern hemisphere. Was He born during summer or winter ?

Chili mac baked with a ground beef patty on the bottom and a thick layer of cheese on the top. Maybe that's why I had congestive heart failure last Feb. I still love the recipe however.

If in fact the Magi were from Babylon and they followed the astronomical predictions (read prophecies) passed down from Daniel. The Star of Bethlehem may have been Saturn and Jupiter combined (Like 2 nights from now).
