Calvinsim is confused about what saves . To a calvinist he sees that Jesus dealt with the sin issue on the cross. He does see verses that seem to say that Jesus died for the world , for all and all men . But because of the pressure of the teachings of the system of Tulip ,he's been impressed upon by the fear of 'universalism ' and or ' stealing the glory of God '. So in his mind he cannot understand that Jesus paying for the sins of the world does not save them until they ( if ) actually recieve Jesus .The good news is actually that Jesus really did die for their sins so we can really tell people with a straight face that this has been done for them. But unless they believe this good news they will not recieve Jesus. We should be alarmed that a theological system actually undermines the simple saving message .

1 Cor 15:3-4

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures

If Christ died for our sins, for He didn't die for everyone's sins, but if we're blessed to be of those He did die for, namely His Sheep or Church, then one thing is for certain, our sins cannot and will not be charged to us.

Rom 4:8

Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. 1
Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures..

1 John 2:2
“And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.”

Our Lord made effective for the thief His death and passion which He suffered and endured for all mankind.

i may have a drivers license issued to me, and an insurance policy, but if i'm pulled over and don't have my license with me or my proof of insurance, i'm still justly charged as tho driving without having either.

we must put on Christ

what the scripture actually says is those who believe will inherit eternal life.
not 'those He died for' -- the scripture says repeatedly that He died for all.

1 John 2:2 -- He is the propitiation for the sins not only of believers but also the whole world
Hebrews 2:9 -- He tasted death for every man
1 Corinthians 5:14-15 -- He died for all

even Calvin understood this, saying Christ 'made effective' for the one who believed in Him, the death He suffered for all.

Invalid comment. They for whom Christ died will not have sin charged to them, but they are sinners just forgiven Rom 4:7-8

7 saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

You can quote scripture but it doesnt change the fact that sinners Christ died for the Lord will not impute sin.

You need to study scripture for yourself, you not listening to me, for sinners Christ suffered and died for the Lord will not charge with iniquity.

No one is arguing that God imputed sin to the ones He declares righteous by faith.

But the scripture doesn't say these is the ones He exclusively died for. It says He died for all and the one that believes is saved.

You are writing your own Bible instead of believing the One God wrote.

Christ’s life, not his death is what saves. (Rom. 5:10; 1 Cor. 15:17)

Sinner is saved by regeneration, not atonement. (Tit. 3:5)

Glorification is what’s limited, not atonement. (Rom. 3:23; 8:17-30)

When Christ said, “It is finished,” on the cross, everyone was still in their sins as per 1 Cor. 15:17.

Atonement is one component of many components in salvation. It alone is not what saves. (Tit. 3:5; Rom. 5:10)

Atonement is a prerequisite for salvation, not the execution of it. (Rom. 5, 8; 2 Cor. 5; Tit. 3:5).

The Atonement must be received. (Rom. 5:11, 17; Jn. 1:12; 1 Cor. 15:1-4)

The Atonement does not glorify anyone. (Rom. 8)
What Calvinists call “the golden chain of redemption” contains no direct reference to the atonement. (Rom. 8:29-30)

Belief that salvation for anyone was secured on the cross constitutes a denial of the necessity of the resurrection (1 Cor. 15:17)

Salvation is eternally secured by the sealing of the spirit, not “election.” (Eph. 1:13-14; 4:30; 2 Cor. 1:22)
