Some churches take the Lord's supper every Sunday and take it very serious. Contemplating every word Jesus said about the supper. And we still celebrate Christmas. For the weeks before Christmas we study the prophecies that foretold of his coming, and his promise to return, and his revelation of himself to his disciples.
Them on Christmas we celebrate his birth, and his promise to return. We see his birth and the fulfillment of the prophecies of old as evidence of his promise to return. And it shows us more connected with the saints of old.
As they awaited his coming we await his return.
Y'all just don't appreciate what actually happened when God became flesh. You regard it as a common thing. Which is sad. Rather than the miraculous thing that it is. That God would condescend to be human and dwell among and suffer with, wretched humans in this valley of the shadow of death. This is the very definition of grace, grace lived out in out world of sin and death and pain and suffering. And you don see it as worthy to celebrate. That our savior came to us as one of us.

The catholic church also named pagan gods as saints to appease the pagans to get them in the church. Each saint has a specific purpose just like the pagan gods they represent.

You would say they are irrelevant, however, I will tell you the word Holiday is not in the Bible Did you know that? the word is secular because those who are not Christians did not like the term " Holy Day". To try and make yourself right you interject words you don't even know are not Biblical like " holiday". BUT a "Holy Day " meaning one set apart by God is very much in the word of God
IT WAS a HOLY Day when Jesus was Born. And I will prove it by the very word of God . Then you can say it is irrelevant while using secular terms to describe a day off from work.

The Angels announced it,
Isiah 9:6 prophesied it and Micah. Ther words this day in Greek that the angels spoke of in Luke chapter 2:11 is not only of that day but also that night. The Angels proclaimed the birth of the Savior of the world, not a small thing had to happen. This day was set apart from other days because it was Holy unto the Lord. God and the angels treated it as such, but you know better.
" This day " was spoken by God Himself in Genesis and prophesied by the man of God 700 years before and fulfilled o this day and the angel even testified of IT. Yes, that day was indeed holy set apart. Now because we do not know of that day or when it was,
WE celebrate and honor the event that happened on that day which is praiseworthy and edifying and a historical event that actually happened, the Savior was born.
