If it were medically possible to live forever, would that contradict God's will?

Yes, absolutely. Or you could substitute the word "will" for the word "allow."
So, I am assuming this question could lead to another one you may have: "If God will's everything, why does He allow bad things to happen? For example:
- Hurricanes
- Tsunamis
- Rape
- Incest
- Murder
- Genghis Kahn
- Adolph Hitler
I can give you another perspective from a human standpoint. But only God can give you the absolute truth, found only in His word.

Do you agree with God concerning your position/condition toward Him?
If so, you have repented and are most likely saved.
If not, you stand condemned before Him.

So we tell people about Jesus, as to save them, that they may live the REAL life, forever.
My understanding is God gave us 'free will' which is why 'bad things' happen.
"Bad things happen" because people put their self will (For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not from the Father but from the world. 1 John 2:16) above the will of God. Just as Adam and Eve did.
Not a question we will have to worry over to awful much I believe. However, to clarify: It IS possible to live forever! All one has to do is read the Word of God to find out how.
