When I was a little girl, I had many questions about life, the universe and everything. My mother explained to me that God knows everything and even though our questions may not always be answered here, she gave me hope that everything could and would be explained in heaven. So since I was a child, and I still do this today, I have asked random questions that blow my mind now, and ask God to remind me to ask them when I finally get to meet Him.

I guess maybe its silly, but Him being my Father, and loving me, I believe He will indulge an inquisitive mind no matter how small or insignificant the question, like "What's up with Mars" and "What did Jacques Cousteau really see in Lake Tahoe?" I know I can't remember the entire list of questions I've asked over my life so far, and who knows how many more there will be. Does anyone else do this?

I was never a little girl... but yes, I've asked many questions about life, the universe, god and a whole lot of other stuff. Sometimes they are very deep and they keep me awake all night while other times they are just random, almost silly questions like 'will there be dragons and hyper boots you can use to travel around heaven/the universe faster?' Even now I'm older I still ask some of these silly questions, and I know God listens, and even though he can't answer me now I will get an answer eventually.

I don't see why God wouldn't want us to ask questions, I'm sure he would...

That made me smile, makes me feel a little less silly. God calls us his children, I think a little childishness (not in a bad way) is good, I couldn't imagine life without some kind of that wonder constantly twinkling around somewhere in your mind.

There are some questions I don't expect the Lord to answer, such as "What did Jacques Costeau really see in Tahoe?" but when I ask him a really important question, he seems to have an answer for me.

Marionette:

Everyone has questions...and it's okay to question, but never doubt. There's one question that I don't think we'll ever get an answer to, even when we get to heaven, and that is: "Where did you come from, Lord?" We have to remember that God is infinite...our ways are not His ways, and our thoughts are not His thoughts. Our finite minds can't comprehend the fact that the Lord has "Always Been". This thought, alone, should make us aware of just how great and awesome the Lord is. Continually read His Word and let the Holy Spirit guide you...the answers will come and all start falling into place.

I always wondered what it would be like to be able to experience something without it harming you. Like could i fly near a sun to see it and no be burned? Can I fly through the rings of a planet and trail space dust through my fingers?
Why are there so many planets we will never visit if life only exists here? Maybe God just made some things for himself to enjoy and nobody will even know about them?

I always wonder, when I'm in His presence, will I care about anything else?

You will only care about praising him and glorifying him. All the issues of life will be put behind you. There is fullness of joy in his presence. It is an abundant joy.

I guess to resurrection33, why do you think that he wouldn't answer that question in heaven? I don't expect to get it now, in this life time. I don't see how any question would be any different from any other. Childish or otherwise. I guess maybe I just view the Lord differently. When I think of Him, I still feel like that small child with a mind full of questions whether they be pertinent to my faith or not. No, I have never questioned the Lord, or His Word, nor has my faith ever been shaken by having an inquisitive mind. I think it is possible to be curious about things such as outer space, or something a little more close to home like our deep oceans and not question God but have questions for God, if that makes any sense..

I don't know, perhaps I brought this up with the wrong crowd, or I'm silly in thinking that God loves and cares for me the same way a father would, or the same way He said he would to those who are fatherless. I didn't have that person to run to with those questions, so I've always had God, and I've always had faith that some day, no matter how small, stupid or insignificant in the grand scheme of things my questions were, that He would answer them anyways, even if I didn't care about them anymore when I get to meet Him face to face..

No your questions are not weird. :)
I have always asked quetions like this as well, as God Our Father is the only dad I have ever known.
Jesus said, we need to be like children to enter heaven. :)
It is this heart that God Our Father delights in.
Just remember though, when Jesus asks you to eat meat, rather than milk in faith, you can keep the heart of a child, and maturity in faith as well. :)

Hugs and God bless.

God is infinitely interested in you and what you do and the questions you ask.The people who say those questions are unimportant in the face of constantly praising god probably don't get the parts of the bible where jesus sat and just ate with people. Like a friend.

Everything God created he created for himself , of course he is interested in it and when you marvel at his work I'm sure he loves that you do. Especially a child of his.

God created zillions of stars and planets. He created so many animals we keep on discovering "new" species all the time, he made animals that make no sense (at least to us) and he gave us, his children, the ability to think, plan, remember, compare and ask.

I am convinced he wants us to ask questions, to be curious, to want to learn about this wonderful world He created, no matter how "silly" the question might be

I wanna ask him why He made soooo many stars, and if He made them all in one go or if He made each of them specifically, and sooo many other things
