I see no reason that anyone else has the same experience that Matthew had then? Were not told that anyone else had or will ?
Well I made an error. I wanted to cite John 16:8-11

In summary the one fast truth to salvation is to believe on Jesus (Have faith and trust in Lord Jesus to save you). I am now asking about whether you need to believe the Gospel of 1 Corinthians 15: 3-4 (Christ died for our sins, was buried and that he rose again the third day) in order to be saved. I believe you do not as the only requirement to salvation is to believe on Jesus. However I believe believing in the gospel saves as well.

However the gospel can mean different things, as the one Paul is referring to in 1 Corinthians 15 1-4 may not be same as Mark 1:15 and Romans 1:16.

1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures
15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Someone is going to learn the truth that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day through teaching as soon as they start their journey but it is possible to be saved believing that Jesus is the promised messiah that has come to take away the sins of the world or something like that. There was salvation imputed unto the the disciples before they even realized there would be a cross. Remember Jesus said they were clean through his word. Their believing what he said was sufficient.

With all the theology that has been mastered by the smartest of theologians throughout church history there is still areas unexplained as to when the heart of faith is met with the justification by faith and what level of understanding a person has at the moment is different for different people.

I am always suspect of those who think they can formulate it into a perfect set of thoughts that one must have in their mind before they are declared saved. A+B+C and if it is Just A it is not enough, or if it is just A+B it is not enough. We are not saved by confessing a creed.

You are correct, so the question is "believe WHAT about Jesus"?

Since I believe that in order to be saved you believe on Jesus (Have faith and trust in Lord Jesus to save you), I believe you need to believe these facts about Jesus:

1)Jesus is God
2)Jesus is your Savior
3)Jesus died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day

This gives saving faith as if you believe Jesus is God and that he rose again then Jesus can save. Also Jesus is the only possible sacrifice for our sins. There are a lot of facts about Jesus in the bible. What do you think you need to believe about Jesus in order to be saved?

Born again is meeting Jesus when we realize he is the answer.
We can not go another moment without him and the Holy Spirit comes ahead of Jesus and leads us to him.

I got saved like paul.

Jesus came in power and arrested me.

No prayer,no evangelist just Jesus.

No matter how delicious the food, an over satiated man will not eat. (hunger is a requirement).
The Gospel is ineffective when preached to full and contented tummies.

Well wishing is not fishing.

Neo evangelicals love to discard doctrine and just go with whatever sounds religious.

Agrippa almost believed. Acts 26:28

At a minimum one must believe in their need to be saved. A real compelling belief that if they die without Christ they will deservedly go into eternal condemnation. Then they can see the need for the righteousness of Christ. By grace the blood of Christ makes atonement for their sin.

Only 1 problem with all of this. Read the end of Revelations. Our eternal home will be on the New earth & God brings his throne down & will be among us on Earth, not heaven.

It's a new earth and the New Jerusalem comes down from heaven on to earth so it is in effect a heavenly kind of earth. NOT THIS ONE

Yet the New heaven will still be away from the new Earth as the current heaven is. Eternity is spent on the new Earth rather than in heaven.

Heaven will remain where it is but eternity is spent upon the Earth and The Father and Son will be upon the Earth as well. That doesn't mean no one can go to heaven during the eternity but the primary home will be the Earth according to various scriptures. Rev 21-22 indicate this but there are other scriptures as well. Basically heaven is a temporary place for God and the angels and the spirits of the dead. Eventually all will inhabit the Earth.

1Ch_23:25 For David said, The LORD God of Israel hath given rest unto his people, that they may dwell in Jerusalem for ever:

Rev_5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Psa_37:9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.

Psa_37:11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

Psa_37:22 For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.

Mat_5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

Job_19:25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:

Zec 14:16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
Zec 14:17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.

John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Rev 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

Rev 21:10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
Rev 21:11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
Rev 21:12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
Rev 21:13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
Rev 21:14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
Rev 21:15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
Rev 21:16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
Rev 21:17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
Rev 21:18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
Rev 21:19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
Rev 21:20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.
Rev 21:21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
Rev 21:22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

It is not man who will go to heaven to dwell with the Father and Jesus in the eternity but the Father and Jesus dwelling with Man upon the new Earth!

Heaven is the temporary dwelling place for God, angels and the spirits of the dead saints. The eternal home for all is the new Earth.

Yeah as an English adjective but it won't be the literal heaven since from what I can tell will be vacant but for some reason will still exist.

In the bible it generally is accepted that there are three heavens:

1. First heaven is the sky/clouds of the Earth.
2. Second heaven is outer space/universe
3. Third heaven is "Heaven" where the saved dead go.

4. Maybe the Earth can turn into Heaven zero (because 1 is already taken)

Adjective or not it will be a literal hell without Jesus.

So if I am a Jew living during the time of the 4 gospels but were to die just before the cross, would believing 1 be enough to get me to Paradise/Abraham's bosom, based on John 20:31?

Believe on Jesus. Have faith and trust in Lord Jesus your savior.

Believe the gospel which is that Jesus died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day.
To think its that easy. We still think its us that find Him :) Yet He said "No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day." Then "being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;" Yeah.. He always finishes what He starts.

Thank you Father for sharing the good news through Believeonjesus.

Believe on Jesus. Have faith and trust in Lord Jesus your savior.

Believe the gospel which is that Jesus died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day.
“For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:22, 24‬ ‭

you should believe what Jesus said . What he said is things like this

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:16-17‬ ‭

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one.”
‭‭John‬ ‭10:27-30‬ ‭

the gospel is. Ot only Jesus death and resurrection brother consider the thkngs he was saying what if we believed these thkngs he said about eternal life ? The gospel is what Jesus preached

“The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;

Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:1, 14-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

and that he died for our sins and rose from the dead . It’s not one or the other we use the term “ gospel “ because of the four accounts of the gospel of the lord Matthew , Mark luke and John . What you find is Jesus was preaching the good news and then shed his blood of the covenant which is everything he preached about salvation

What you also find is the truth that brings us to repentance but often we reject it and claim it doesn’t apply

the death and resurrection are the gospel , just as Jesus teachings are . If anyone wants to know about salvation all they have to do is believe the gospel , meaning the four accounts of the gospel the gospel of Matthew , gospel of Mark , like and John .

there are the four gospel accounts and then there are the epistles which teach revelation and understanding of the gospel
