yes it’s on nearly every page of the Bible so I think there’s a place for voices calling out about repentance and the consequences of not repenting

there’s a message today “ sure sins bad but no ones going to hell for it “ that’s simply not true the message tells us how to be saved and what happens if we don’t accept that message of salvation .

I think what your saying is true you can’t just talk about hell but you can’t just talk about grace and salvation without talking about the other it’s one message and is complete in nature
Sorry bro, but we should not be teaching hellfire and brimstone every message, that’s just nuts, not even Jesus did that

there are much more important stuff to teach on, a believer is saved from hell, so why are you going to keep, teaching a believer about a place he will never see?

I agree, in man and lead by man there is no perfect church.

You can look and look, there is no perfect church lead by man.

The true church is not of man. It doesn’t know denomination. It is of one faith. One Father, and One teacher/master. It is spiritual and lead by the Holy Spirit. Warning though, it is made of sinners.

Sinners who are on their journey too through the wilderness. As they go through it they learn who to trust, how to trust, how to act, who to follow. To be dependent on God for their salvation, sanctification, and guidance to where you are going and what you have and why you have it. You see, they are all at different points of learning and spread out through the wilderness. But, they are of one mind and one leader in the tent of meeting.

I would submit then do not look for a man to follow. Don’t you know you are loved by God and being loved are just as worthy of the baptism of the Holy Spirit as the apostles? If you are willing to, tithe not part of your heart to Him, but all of it. This is the greatest commandment.

Seek first the kingdom of heaven, put Him first in all things.

Then seek fellow brothers and sisters who do the same. Then you will find the love you seek and the words kept. Because God is their Lord and inside of them.

I have seen when churches allow and support small groups and Bible study. There God can work on people better and help them find the truth and keep it.

Or you can keep searching through the catalog of man’s church.

In Love
A brother in Christ
wow that’s an amazing thought at least to what I was actually asking about I truly appreciate your thoughtful words obviously in touch with the Holy Spirit.

I believe there’s a difference in a sinner , and a sinner who believes the gospel and is baptized. The difference being the inner understanding about repentance and it’s essential nature to life as sin brought us death , righteousness brings life

I’m yeah didn’t you read my message ?

very clearly said “ what your saying is true can’t always preach about hell , honestly I never ever hear that brimstone message your complaining about though

I think any fair. Under person can say what we hear is about 98 percent “ grace alone everyone is a sinner don’t worry “

and about 2 percent is about eternal damnation , I mean I hear ya about the fifties messages but I’m not sure where you are hearing an over abundance of preaching about repentance and hell of anything we actually need to hear that as much as everything else

but again like I said the message isn’t “ you need to be perfect of go to hell “ and it is definitely not “ even if you continue to serve sin you will never go to hell “

it’s also not “ say grace three times and your saved” or anything like I commonly find in other conversations in the real world

the point of asking about Paul’s doctrine is its full of judgement and also grace . That’s the right message

When we don’t want to hear the stuff like Paul and Jesus taught like Ephesians 5 that if we don’t repent we aren’t going to receive what he said we have if we do repent .

if we keep serving satans will in this life we’re not going to receive the inheritance . That’s just the truth it’s not something to avoid but to let into our thinking because it brings us to repentance.

I’m pretty sure bro if we weren’t supposed to be taught about hell and why people go there , God wouldn’t have taught so much doctrine about that

it’s almost like saying “ Adam didn’t need to hear the fruit would cause his death “

he needed to hear “ surely it won’t harm you “

anyways myself I think if it’s doctrine , it’s important and not sure I personally have an issue with preachers teaching the warnings that permeate scripture about sin , death and eternal damnation it’s important stuff people repent when they accept the truth and begin to see

thank you for the thoughts brother , I may have mis wrote something because I don’t seem to have a grasp on anything in my thinking , I would describe my current state as desperately seeking answers as to why we part from the gospel and call it truth and form a denomination which separates itself from other believers based on someone’s misunderstanding whether it’s one denomination or the other who has it wrong , why does it cause division ? Or rather why do we take the bait and let Satan divide and conquer us ?

you seem to have some wisdom in your words brother I truly appreciate your valuable time in sharing those thoughts . In love and patience , your brother in Christ
Yeah personally I hate the fact denominations exist Jesus said a kingdom divided cannot stand for a reason or think of the body as we are called the body God knew what he was doing when he made us in his image
The human body requires that the whole body is in unity and in sync if even one part of the body is damaged taken away or somehow divided the rest of the body doesn't function as it should

And you touched on a very important issue within the church about interpretation and what some call truth while others in another denomination say it isn't, now true enough no one person is ever going to have it all right and everyone has room to grow and maybe reconsider a certain doctrine or belief or view because we are human and the things of God go far beyond our understanding anyways
but to pick apart and divide the word of God to base our understanding on our specific doctrines stances views and beliefs is dangerous
The enemy as you said has divided us and honestly as much as I wish it wasn't true we will likely remain divided we do not function as one unit or one army we function as many units and small groups in this war all because of disagreements different understanding and views all claiming to be from the holy spirit

I have seen quite a few pastors that teach nothing but fire and brimestone messages week after week

so just because you do not hear it, does not mean it is not true

i am not complaining about anything, I a, just stating a fact, we go and win people,to Christ by loving them. You teach fire and brimestone messages week after week, you will have a week church, with no growth

i have witnessed it,

amen I have a ton of agreement in my heart with what you have written . Couldn’t agree more really.

I see it also it’s like a new form of “ Progressive Christianity “ where just as Jesus , and the apostles Paul , Peter and John all forewarned , many confusing ideas have been brought into the churches doctrine so as to confuse us and cause us to actually use Gods holy word Meant to save us to argue and insult condemn and accuse.

you said something about not being able to understand I would offer this idea simply for consideration

“And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:19-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

we can begin to know him brother it’s the glory of the gospel and we can become intimately connected to him in that understanding as we grow as you were explaining the point about growth and perseverance you made. We can now know God but it’s the simplicity of knowing his name and believing his word that gets us

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:6-7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

we too can know him by faith and relationship by the spirit of the gospel
