I found this on the internet this morning, and it blew me away. The overall accuracy of the message is almost perfect, and quite good. What impressed me most was Wilkerson's passion for those who are in the church, but still in darkness.

Before comments I would ask everyone to watch the whole thing. It will do us all some good. I know it did me. :)

Hi pilgrimshope,

If I get some more time I will have a watch the video you posted. But I can't make that a promise. Time is short. Would it be possible for you to give us a quick overview of his main points? Cheers:D(y)

His biggest point was how many today who think they are saved in churches that are either very liberal or are preaching the prosperity gospel. He points out many say they accepted Christ but there wasn't any real change in their lives. It was so good I couldn't do it justice if I tried. :)

Matthew 26:40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?

What do you think he meant by "accepted Christ"?

What did they accept about Christ?

I understand how you feel. Listening to his messages will transform a person into a man or woman completely consumed with Christ. He has probably been the most influential preacher in my Christian walk.

"No need to watch, as some of your comments are a hint to the truth being told of.
Within these pages and another site, since 2013 I have shared, more less, this
precise malady."

Of course the fact of the matter is that there is a difference between a Christian by heart and a Christian by title you can see this within the church even without watching a sermon

cc is a great example there are people who when you read what they and notice their interactions you can tell they are without love of any kind they only stir up trouble and are proud of their wisdom and knowledge of scripture they tend to be the attackers not the defenders or the builders of church others you can read and notice their interactions and you can just sense the spirit in them you can see the love God has infused in them and their understanding of scripture is vastly greater than the opposing people they are the ones who you can actually learn from and grow from and build actual connections with

Something I love about forums or rather a few things is that online people tend to show who they really are they speak what they really feel and think and since I am the kind of person who can only really speak my true thoughts feelings and heart in writing I am able to notice these things it is more than the doctrine they belief in or debate about you need the eyes to be able to see deeper

I don't mind sermons that are over an hour long as long as they're really saying something. ;)

You mean stuff like if you have purple, or spikey hair, or tight pants, or spandex you're a fake Christian. Because being a Christian is about appearances.

I noticed a lot of Pentecostal-ism is like that. Women with their hair in buns, and those long denim dresses, and the guys with their screwed down hair dos and clean shaven face.

Because being a Christian is about appearances.
A lot about being a person is about appearances (in case you haven't noticed). This applies to everyone (Christian or non-Christian). If an individual cannot even take proper care of himself or his appearance, how can he be expected to take proper care of the business of other people?

There was a saying which was true in former times, but it is still true today: "Clothes make the man" (or woman). And when we go to the Bible, we see that God was very particular about how his priests dressed and looked. Now Christians are a royal priesthood, which means that the same principles apply. A word to the wise is sufficient.

Getting back to the title of this thread, counterfeit Christianity is nothing new. It began showing its ugly head even while the apostles were on earth, and it has existed ever since. Therefore our focus should not be on False Christianity (which is a fact of life). Our focus should be on (1) Christ, (2) the true Word of God, (3) the true Gospel, and (4) sound Bible doctrine.

Christendom has allowed man-made doctrines and teachings to pervade the churches and denominations. But that does not mean those who are committed to righteousness and truth cannot do something about it.
