I understand Cornelius believing a vision of an angel and responding obediently but that's not the Gospel. I believe it is the Father granting the Grace Cornelius needed to come to Christ though.

If Total depravity is true ( which is a daft title because when you ask a Calvinist for a definition ,they will tell you that it doesn't mean he's as bad as he could be . Yet Total means total and linked with depravity literally means he's TOTALLY depraved ) why is 'believing the gospel' the one thing man cannot do ? whats the justification for this . We could create a long list of what man can do . Such as do good things ,like paying taxes , providing for families, caring for the vulnerable, charities , doctors, medics , life guards, saving lifes ect. He can believe things ,he can belive in things . He can do all those things and many more of course, that Calvinsits call a 'dead man ' like a corpse . How is it this one thing 'believing the gospel ',he cannot do ?

Blessings come after, not before we are saved .
Not true. I was blessed with someone preaching the Gospel. I was blessed with Holy Spirit conviction before I was saved. Wasn't you?

Really? hearing the Gospel & being covicted of sin is God pouring out grace upon us. God's grace is always a blessing indeed.

No man can cometo me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. Jn.6:44

Our Lord said this because people were grumbling about what he was saying.

To be drawn to someone is to be attracted to him. He's attractive to you, because youve "heard and learned" about him (Jn.6:45)

Jesus was saying that people who come to him because they love God.
