The bride of Christ is NOT ...
1. Israel
2. Part or whole N.T. Church
3. The 144,000 Jews
4. the Tribulation Saints
5. Not any single person or group
6. Nor any denomination or groups of denominations

What is the BRIDE of Christ ?

1. Its the Great City Jerusalem see vs 2, 9-10
2. All redeemed will live in the city. See Heb 11: 10-16
3. The Earthly Church Jn 14: 1-3 ; Heb 13: 14
4. Every Christian is promised the city Rev 3: 12 ; Jn 14: 1-3 ; Heb 12: 23
5. The 144,000 Jews will be there. Rev 7: 1-8 ; 12: 5 ; 14: 1-5.
6. The Tribulation saints will be there. Rev 6: 9-11; 7: 9-17; 15: 2-4; 20 : 4-6.

Marriage of Christ Completed when the betrothed parties were legally in the position of a married couple and unfaithfulness in this period was adultery. Dt 22: 23; Mt 1: 19

The Marriage supper of the lamb in Rev 19 is simply the concluding ceremony, not the marriage contract entered into at conversion.

I would be careful to say that original Israel is no more, Jesus said He came for the Jews first, He didn't say He came to replace them. Romans 11, The gentiles are grafted into the Tree of Israel, God also said don't be puffed up either, if He will remove a part of the original branch, He will also remove what has been grafted in. Never in scripture Has God said that He is finished with Israel, He states the exact opposite. He will restore them back to being His, and we who received Yeshua/Jesus with be a part of it.

Yes we are the bride of Messiah, but we are not the stones that build new Jerusalem. So does that mean you're 1500 miles tall and wide and long? If it was meant spiritually only it wouldn't have measurements of this kind. Everything in scripture is first the physical and then the spiritual. Shalom
true, Avinu, I included the Jews and gentiles into the term spiritual Israel being anyone who believed in Jesus as Lord and Savior. If we are not the living stones then explain these Bible verses for me.

1 Peter 2:4-6 (New King James Version)

The Chosen Stone and His Chosen People

4 Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, 5 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 6 Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture,

“ Behold, I lay in Zion
A chief cornerstone, elect, precious,
And he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.”[a]

and it says the Apostles are the foundation stones, with Jesus as the chief cornerstone "and he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame":

Revelation 21:14
Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

Ephesians 2:19-21 (New King James Version)

Christ Our Cornerstone

19 Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord

Yes , we are spiritual stones but not to be used in building the New Jerusalem. We are 3 things to God in 1 Peter 2:5

1. Living Stones (VS 5) Because of being IN THE living stone 1 Peter 2: 4-5 ; 2 Cor 5: 17-18
2. A Spiritual House Eph 2: 18-22; 1 Cor 12: 13-28; Rom 12: 4-5
3. An Holy Priesthood. (vs 5) Rev 1:6; 5:10 ; 20: 4-6

I think thats what you were taking about.

AnandaHya, Scuba put it well, these are two completely different things spoken of. They don't even back each other up in anyway to confirm your claim. Shalom

Interesting conversation. I just wanted to agree with this post. President Obama does not represent me in many things, but especially in his treatment of Israel.

"And give Him no rest until He establishes Jerusalem and makes her a praise in the earth." Isaiah 62:7

...“for whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye." Zechariah 2:8

John 3:18
Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son

The bride of Christ is the ones he made a covenant with.
AMEN.
and what is that Covenant?

Luke 22:19
And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me."

1 Corinthians 10:16
Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ?

Mark 16:16
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

John 3:18
Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.

Ephesians 2:8
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,

John 1:10-13
He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent,c nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

Zone one pertains to Yeshua being the cornerstone and us the stones that are to imitate Him, the other is the different kinds of stones that make up each foundation of the New Jerusalem. As I said 2 completely different things. shalom

ok.
so where does New Jerusalem come onto the scene?
does it come with Jesus before the 1,000 year millennium, or after?

Good Evening, To answer some questions some asked me. I am a Christian Zionist. I believe we should pray for the peace of Jerusalem and also know that salvation is of the Jews and we were grafted in with the Apple of God's eye and that Jesus changed my life, world and I with His help will serve and follow him with all my heart, soul , mind , body and I will not be silent to those who want to destroy Israel, America or any body of Christ.

I am not Jewish but I was raised to honor God and His Son and support Israel because the word tells me to do so. I want His blessing in my life and my children's and in yours as well.

Replacement Theology is where some have wrongly removed Israel and replaced it with the Church in the Bible concerning Prophecy. Most of my reference comes from the Dakes Ref. Bible and Prayer for discernment from the Holy Spirit

yes.
i see the problem.

tell me: in what way is salvation of the jews? could you explain from scripture?

also, who wants to destroy israel? could you provide evidence please?

also: do you know that your avatar is a majik symbol? and is not in any way related to David's Israel?

ok.

so, in your scenario (which i have gathered is indeed dispensational), what happens now in the sequence of Redemptive History?

do all jews return to israel and then Jesus returns?

what happens when He returns?

what is the role of the redeemed israelites in relation to the "millennium"? where are the gentile believers then?

and who is populating the millennium, and for what purpose? is their sin or evil then? any rebellion? death, sorrow, pain?

how many resurrections are there, and when are they?

was satan restrained at the First Advent?

did Jesus fulfill Daniel 9?

not asking for dates, just the order of things (with chptr & vse if possible)

thanks.
