No one said either of those.
Kansas sang a song about 'all we are is dust in the wind.'

Moses penned these words...
Genesis 3:19 (KJV) In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

Also Job and Solomon had some wisdom concerning life's vanity.
Then Abraham answered and said, “Indeed now, I who am but dust and ashes have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord:

Ok cross he never said it😕😕😕

Here is a common one,
"The devil is the thief that comes to steal and kill and destroy."

I'm surprised nobody thought of this one in it's variants:
Bless yer heart
Bless yer pea picking heart
Bless his/her little heart

It's been a while since I heard this one, talking about someone stretching a story a little bit:
"evangelistically speaking"

"You're not hearing me"
We'll give you the 'right hand of fellowship'.

What I've heard (and said) "If the Lord don't come and the creek don't rise"
That's a good one...Never heard it that way before.

Apparently I said it wrong in my previous post.

I used it while talking to my dad the other day and he corrected me on it..... it's supposed to be "if the good Lord's willing and the creek don't rise." He said it is an old Johnny Cash song....lol

This one I don't think much of because it's taken the place of real praise: "Give the Lord a handclap of praise"
