I think we are blessed to have such a rich history in Christian teaching, we stand on the shoulders of those who came before us.

Therefore, following the holy fathers, we all with one accord teach men to acknowledge
one and the same Son, our Lord Jesus Christ,
at once complete in Godhead and complete in manhood,
truly God and truly man,
consisting also of a reasonable soul and body;
of one substance with the Father as regards his Godhead,
and at the same time of one substance with us as regards his manhood;
like us in all respects, apart from sin;

as regards his Godhead, begotten of the Father before the ages,
but yet as regards his manhood begotten, for us men and for our salvation, of Mary the Virgin, the Godbearer;
one and the same Christ, Son, Lord, Only-begotten,
recognized in two natures, without confusion, without change, without division, without separation;
the distinction of natures being in no way annulled by the union,
but rather the characteristics of each nature being preserved and coming together to form one person and subsistence,
not as parted or separated into two persons,
but one and the same Son and Only-begotten God the Word, Lord Jesus Christ;
even as the prophets from earliest times spoke of him, and our Lord Jesus Christ himself taught us,
and the creed of the fathers has handed down to us.

Good post enjoyed reading thanks for posting

Just a quick observation here:

We are [given], we do not possess Faith from just being born into this life, God gives each one of us a [MEASURE] of Faith.
If my Faith Measure happens to be greater/less than Abraham's, how is it possible [to ever] possess the same Faith as Abraham?
Now, if we're only using the [SAME MEASURE] to view and accept God to believe in God, then I agree.
But if we're discussing that we believe everyone was given the [SAME MEASURE] of Faith, then I 100% disagree!

To say that we are to have the "same Faith" as Abraham, is to simply point at the True Faith that only comes by way of Spiritual Circumcision. This is why Abraham is our Father of Faith.

Paul said it . . . and I am only quoting Paul. He wrote:

Romans 4:11-12 NLT - "Circumcision was a sign that Abraham already had faith and that God had already accepted him and declared him to be righteous--even before he was circumcised. So Abraham is the spiritual father of those who have faith but have not been circumcised. They are counted as righteous because of their faith. 12 And Abraham is also the spiritual father of those who have been circumcised, but only if they have the same kind of faith Abraham had before he was circumcised."

Example:

I totally believe I should be able to go to someone deceased, in a casket, and by the [MEASURE OF FAITH] given unto me by God believe this person can live again. It hasn't happened yet, but it does not mean i do not believe it cannot happen. Sometimes I've witnessed amazing things I feel my [MEASURE OF FAITH] in God has moved numerous sorts of mountains. But when the mountain doesn't move, I don't see it as a lack of Faith, but rather it is not in God's Plan for it to happen.

Again . . . you have misunderstood me, though after I made myself very clear. I did not say that "absolutely nobody teaches the Truth." You said that I said that . . . but I didn't say that.

This surprises me.
I did not say you said that...

You did say: I don't know of anyone that teaches the Truth . . .
the actual Gospel of Jesus Christ. I mean it . . . not one person.

My conclusion is, that necessarily includes you, though you seem loathe to admit it.

Which does not surprise me ;):giggle:

If you want to talk to me about dispensationalsim, used the word of God, not what so called church history told you, the Bible is inspired, what some man 100 years later said is not,

do you want to be serious or just waste my time?
I honestly am not interested. I have read the things you have said. I have not engaged you in conversation. So there is always that.

That's what I thought.
yeah, Thats what I thought. You make accusations against a beief system Yet you do not wish to discuss it. Seems par for the course with you

The catholic use history to prove their theologies. As did the jews.

You want to risk that same error. Thats on you

He does not know anyone who teaches the truth.

Yet he did not say that no one teaches the truth.

Perhaps he's in the wrong church eh?
If you thought everyone in the church you attend was teaching untruths would you stay there?

I think a lot of Preaching where it turns out many accept Christ is much like it was explained about the [original Gospel of Matthew being written in Hebrew].

Simple Preaching with the HOLY SPIRIT doing ALL OF THE WORK and the results = Amazing outcome is as equal to Matthew was written in Hebrew and other people DID THEIR BEST TO TRANSLATE IT.

What does [DID THEIR BEST TO TRANSLATE IT] mean?
It means today's Bible is close enough to find the [Truth] about God whether the Bible is actually [WORD FOR WORD] or not.
And a lot of Preaching is the same, even when the results show a great turnout of sinners coming to Christ.

It's never going to be word for word, but God does the rest.

Good then.
So we're done?

I think of Moses here:

I AM told Moses what to say.
No doubt Moses made many errors.
But God did not really care what Moses said, He wanted Moses to [ACT OUT in Faith].
When Moses Acted out of Faith, God did the rest!

WHO was it that associated the Church Fathers to Paganism?
That idealism surely is still on the table for debate!

until the next time you mock my belief with nothing really but words of men not inspired by God then yeah
Do it again I will call you out on it again.
No, we are done.
I have read what you have to say, you have read what I have to say.
We have no fellowship.

Jesus is the Lord, and my savior. Outside of him there is no salvation.
