THIS IS A FIRST RATE SERMON.

highly recommended.

~

if anyone doubts or scoffs at monergism (and forgets already how THEY were saved), this hour will bring it back to remembrance (get ready to fall on your knees giving glory to God).

have been enjoying all his sermons very much.
comments on this one or any others you can recommend much appreciated.

Unwarranted confidence in human ability is a product of fallen human nature ... God's grace in Christ is not merely necessary but is the sole efficient cause of salvation. We confess that human beings are born spiritually dead and are incapable even of cooperating with regenerating grace. We reaffirm that in salvation we are rescued from God's wrath by his grace alone. It is the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit that brings us to Christ by releasing us from our bondage to sin and raising us from spiritual death to spiritual life. We deny that salvation is in any sense a human work. Human methods, techniques or strategies by themselves cannot accomplish this transformation. Faith is not produced by our unregenerated human nature. - Cambridge Declaration

I'll take a listen it when I have time. I'm working this weekend so I doubt I'll have time to respond, at least not for a few days. Although I would like to say this in defense of synergism; all synergy means is willing submition to the call and will of God. By no means do synergists believe that we play or perform any role in our own salvation other than simply submitting gladly and joyfully to the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. I fail to see how this is unbiblical.

I'm not tryino argue here, I just don't see how this is viewed as such a huge threat or delima to monergists.

no threat or dilemma at all when synergism is applied to sanctification: that's exactly where it belongs.

you'll enjoy this sermon Fire (though it is terrifying and heartbreaking in parts), it is also so TRUE, and so is totally edifying (and very convicting concerning getting out there with the preaching of the Gospel).

looking forward to your comments.

I look forward to listening to it. I personally take no issue at all with the concept of Total Depravity or Original Sin so I imagine I will agree with the majority of the sermon (if not all).

btw - sermonaudio is an awesome website! I love to listen to A.W. Tozer & Leonard Ravenhill. I realize that others may view things a bit differently however, the site itself has sermons from folks across denominational lines, so I recommend it to all.
