They were my favorite untill God cleaned me up.
MY flesh still likes them, but Jesus Christ helps us stay out of the flesh. The FLESH leads to death. Truly. This world is nothing but Dung. It is sad that an extreamly talented person such as Mike patton wants nothing to do with the God who gave him that unique talent in the first place.
I was surprised to see anyone on this forum to know about patton, but i saw your pic, so i had to comment. I KNOW how extrodinary mikes music is, but JESUS CHRIST is all that much more extrodinary. Music like Mr.bungle, and even Steve Vai, are not glorifying to God. GOd gave them what they have, adn they glorify self.
My friend, I know you dont consider yourself Born again, or Saved, but i want to tell you that this WORLD all of its glitz, even if that glitz is the best glitz out there, is fleating. Mike patton cant save your soul, Faith no more, MR. bungle, anythign else he has done, is in vain becasue it ammounts to nothing. IT is SOOO sad the ammount of Deception that SAtan has put on this world, but when you TRULY surrender to Christ Jesus, he takes the blinders off your eyes, adn shows you what this world is. It is broken. Sin has taken over what God made good. it has become wicked.
Im not saying stop listening to anything my friend, Im just saying Seek Jesus. With all you are, he TRULY loves you. Then JESUS will tell you what HE wants out. This world is fleating, it is passing away. But JESUS lasts for ever, GOD is eternal, adn those in GOd share in his glory, and peace and joy, NOW. PEople like Patton, are seeking somthing but they cant find it. They are deceived that LIFE is this, adn thats it, so we best just make the most of it.
Dont be decieved. LIFE is eternal. its just up to you where you spend it. WITH Jesus. Or eternaly seperated from him. I pray for Mike patton as much as i can. I love that guy. Truly. And I love you my friend. Seek Jesus with all you are, humble yorself before his throne and he will show you who he is. I promise.
I hope i havent offended or bothered you in any way. Just keep seeking. You have an Eye, and and ear for the special thigns....DONT miss the ONLY true special thing and that is the kingdom of GOD, NOW. YOu get to be a prt of the kingdom NOW. Jesus bless you.

I used Mike Patton as an alias because I didn't think anyone here would have listened to him. It saddens me that you don't listen to Mr. Bungle or any of Mike's other projects anymore because of religion. I could never stop listening to his music even if I somehow came to realization (I can't see how that would be possible) that his music is tainted.
I hope someday you'll listen again.

See thats the thing its not becasue of religion. Religion tells you what to do, and what not to do, yet GOD is still very distant, and no one ever feels him or hears him. But a RELATIONSHIP with the Almighty through his Son Jesus, is NOT religion. And the WORLD keeps you from knowing Jesus. The WORLD is a wall between YOU and Jesus Christ. GOd telsl us to come OUT of the world, to be spotless, and THEN he will accept us, but many people need to justify doing what the wordl does. its not so much a SIN to listen to music, as it is a HUGE distraction. And if you are a CHRISTIAN then its a SIN to dissobey God, and GOD says have nothign to do with the world. But Church for centuries has been mixxing the world and "church" together. The majority of "Church" isnt from God Either. Anyway...diferent topic for a different time.
Its all about clearing everything in your life that KEEPS you FROM him(thats books, music movies, tv, FOOD even if Food keeps you from GOd Get rid of it. JESUS will always bring things into our life that HE wants, if we have fait hin him, take him on his word, adn DENY self and pick upour cross adn follow him. Jesus said you cant be a disciple unless you deny yourself adn follow him. Yet hadrly anyone is denying themselves..they are justifying SELF. the whole ponit of the NEW covenant was so GOD can live IN his people. WE are the temple of the most high God, But he CANT live in an unclean temple. I want to tell you that the WORLDs music, wether it be nickle back(ha!) or Mike patton or Steve Vai, or what have you is all the same to God. it is Distraction and idolatry. it keeps you away from God, and comes Before him.
Thats it my firend, i dont want to take away from this thread, no condemenation to anyone, just truly ASK GOD what he wants in your life, ask GOD how he sees you. No one goes to God, MOST ignore him, if you dont take time to Know HIM, HE will say go away i never knew YOU.

Dont be left out of Jesus. Seek him with all you are he WILL reveal things to you, and you will see why there is distaction made for every personality out there. The WOrdl is passing away but those in GOd live for ever. Sadly MANY "christians" are going to die far from God, becasue htey never took time to KNOW him, mainly because they listned to MAN, adn justified all there actions instead of humbling themselves adn asking Jesus for help amd guidence and wantign to know what HE wants.
