Essentially your system teaches the one thing that man cannot do is believe the Gospel. Completely drawn out by assumptions, conjecture and syllogism. You need just one verse thar says man cannot believe the Gospel , but there has never been one . Nor is there a verse that says God causes belief in those he saves . No its the opposite . 1 cor 1.21

My only issue with Calvin was his continuation from the errors of Augustine.
How are you not seeing the difference ? He was actually physically dead . PHYSICALLY!! .. Laz is a picture of the resurrection of the dead , not conversion. Calvinists have hijacked this for their cause .
I understand the difference between physically and spiritually dead. Spiritually dead is still dead. That means there is no spiritual life. How does a person who is spiritually dead, raise themselves to life?
Sure pick any of the Key doctrines and they all fall back on the faulty understanding Augustine had on the T . Everything hinges on the T . Thats why it needs regeneration preceding faith. Which is completely unscriptural. Thats my issue.

Colossians 2

How does a spiritual dead person, raise themselves from the dead?
Why didn't Paul believe the Gospel at the preaching of Stephen? Paul would have heard the message prior. Isn't he one of the ' sheep who should have heard his voice ' ect ?
Did he not eventually hear the voice and become one of the sheep? I actually recall it was a very serious intervention on God's behalf. Kind of making my point is it not? Even Paul required God's intervention.

No scripture says anyone ' raises ' themselves in any sense. 1 cor 1.21 says God SAVES those that believe. look at the narrative with the bereans . They searched the scriptures to see if what Paul was saying was true .
