I think all men are masculine unless they are wicked. Sorry if I change your poll, but the Bible calls ifeminate men wicked. They are considered to be lost.

No it is not.

I am not the OP but I have read so many of Zeroturbulance's posts/threads that I feel very strongly that this thread was never started with that type of intention in mind. To twist it in this way is a true disservice to Zeroturbulance, and to the whole of the site. It is just a thread...an innocent question trying to get opinions and have fun with it. May you (and the person you quoted) find better causes to champian........God bless you.

I agree, VikkiKate and Nana. This is not about homosexuality at all. It's about body/personality types. Wow..what some folks won't twist just so they can smack someone with scripture....

I think femininity in guys is dumb because the qualities that people associate with femininity are qualities that everyone possesses: compasssinate, caring, sensitive, etc. I believe the definition of feminine is scewed by most people. I believe feminity is about having physical characteristics that classify a person as female, and nothing to do with their ability to show emotion.

Yes because all gay men are feminine.

Feminine does not mean gay!
I know that.

But the Effeminate word gets used in a 'clobber' verse, and so many Christians use it to persecute Gays.

So what would you say the definition of effeminate would be? Does that mean gay? I dont think it does. I think it means unhappy with your own sex and trying to portray yourself as the opposite sex.

I dont necessarily think it means that you are unhappy with the male gender but for some reason you identify with the other gender and have some of their mannerisms, facial expressions, tone of voice. Some men can be effeminant and not be gay. I know some men who grew up around mostly older women, especially in the church, knowing few men and having few male rolemodels. They pick up the mannerisms of these older wome which in men is percieved as effeminant.

I don't know if that was what Zero is asking about or not. But I wouldn't think any woman would prefer a man with a sway in his hips or a bent wrist.

Reading back through zero's posts, nowhere did he use the word "effeminate". He DID, however, explain several times what he meant and at no time was he critical of men having gentle traits or say/imply that they were homosexual.

i dont understand what zero said as a gay man, i think hes trying to say a caring an emotional man, and if bible says in 1 Peter 3:7 "Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel..." then i would like to find a man that be caring with gentle traits to me and more emotional than the men that appears ont he movies as the strongest man.

If a women was acting masculine it would be a turn off, however, that is not who they are. That is their mannerisms, which is not what I fall in the love with a girl for. I fall in love with a girl for who she really is inside. I fall in love with her spirit. Mannerisms will always change throughout a person's lifetime, but the person will not. Its the unconditional love for a person's spirit and for the spiritual future of a persons soul that we find our ONE destiny. So God has picked one person for each of us and that is the person that we fall in love with; the little details such as mannerisms are not important.

Most of us want a slight mixture between both traits, but women want a more masculine guy and guys want a more feminine girl since, well, that's what we were created to be. Even though I'm skinny, it makes me want a petite and small girl so I will feel bigger than her, the same way a girl wants a guy taller than her. Women want a confident guy with goals in life, since that displays toughness and control, mixed with a sensitive guy that is open about his emotions. To say you need to pick one or the other means you have to choose between someone lacking something.

Well, now. That all depends on the person who is doing the defining.
