This is why we have denominations. :) I think at this point we have pretty much disfellowshipped one another over this.

All you women who believe God may have called you to preach, you are welcome in the Assemblies of God.

Even a thought that God instituted a New Testament Law against using women in leadership that was not even heard of in the Old Testament must occur to you that you might have made a mistake in your understanding of what Paul was meaning.

And don't forget Huldah when king Josiah the only king who it was said followed the Lord completely and he sent his entire cabinet to the prophetess Huldah to tell them what to do with the Book of the Law they had found in the temple because she was the one with the Word of the Lord as the Spiritual Prophetess who was to be trusted and her words rang out like the might words of Jeremiah in authority and weightiness:

King James Bible Par ▾
Josiah's Good Reign in Judah
(2 Chronicles 34:1-2)

1Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned thirty and one years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jedidah, the daughter of Adaiah of Boscath. 2And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in all the way of David his father, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left.
Josiah Repairs the Temple
(2 Chronicles 34:8-13)

3And it came to pass in the eighteenth year of king Josiah, that the king sent Shaphan the son of Azaliah, the son of Meshullam, the scribe, to the house of the LORD, saying, 4Go up to Hilkiah the high priest, that he may sum the silver which is brought into the house of the LORD, which the keepers of the door have gathered of the people: 5And let them deliver it into the hand of the doers of the work, that have the oversight of the house of the LORD: and let them give it to the doers of the work which is in the house of the LORD, to repair the breaches of the house, 6Unto carpenters, and builders, and masons, and to buy timber and hewn stone to repair the house. 7Howbeit there was no reckoning made with them of the money that was delivered into their hand, because they dealt faithfully.
Hilkiah Finds the Book of the Law
(2 Chronicles 34:14-21)

8And Hilkiah the high priest said unto Shaphan the scribe, I have found the book of the law in the house of the LORD. And Hilkiah gave the book to Shaphan, and he read it. 9And Shaphan the scribe came to the king, and brought the king word again, and said, Thy servants have gathered the money that was found in the house, and have delivered it into the hand of them that do the work, that have the oversight of the house of the LORD. 10And Shaphan the scribe shewed the king, saying, Hilkiah the priest hath delivered me a book. And Shaphan read it before the king.
11And it came to pass, when the king had heard the words of the book of the law, that he rent his clothes. 12And the king commanded Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Achbor the son of Michaiah, and Shaphan the scribe, and Asahiah a servant of the king's, saying, 13Go ye, inquire of the LORD for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found: for great is the wrath of the LORD that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not hearkened unto the words of this book, to do according unto all that which is written concerning us.

But to think that God would not use a woman with an anointing of the Holy Ghost and power in these last days in the New Testament? To think that God would use a woman with more anointing and Holy Ghost power in the Old Testament but not the New Testament Church? pffffttt!!! You need a revelation of the new Covenant, Pentecost, and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit on all flesh.

God has not changed. He will use anyone he wants and those that say he can't don't know Him and their mouths will silenced in the dust.

Huldah's Prophecy
(2 Chronicles 34:22-28)

14So Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, and Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asahiah, went unto Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe; (now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college;) and they communed with her. 15And she said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Tell the man that sent you to me, 16Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, and upon the inhabitants thereof, even all the words of the book which the king of Judah hath read: 17Because they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands; therefore my wrath shall be kindled against this place, and shall not be quenched. 18But to the king of Judah which sent you to inquire of the LORD, thus shall ye say to him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, As touching the words which thou hast heard; 19Because thine heart was tender, and thou hast humbled thyself before the LORD, when thou heardest what I spake against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, that they should become a desolation and a curse, and hast rent thy clothes, and wept before me; I also have heard thee, saith the LORD. 20Behold therefore, I will gather thee unto thy fathers, and thou shalt be gathered into thy grave in peace; and thine eyes shall not see all the evil which I will bring upon this place. And they brought the king word again.
What has this all to do with the church, which was foundet through the Holy Spirit at pentecost?
What has this to do with the role of a woman in the church since pentecost and where mainly Paul Was given the Instructions for?
In no of his letters he encouraged ore gave adwise for woman to take leadership in the church. The opposit he has done.
Of course you can explain this away. But it makes it not right.

Yes. God will use women to pastor. It is biblical because of these verses which are found in the bible.

He pointed out that women were included in the call to go and teach all nations with the power of the Holy Ghost to be witnesses of Jesus. All pastoring, teaching, prophesying, speaking in tongues, words of knowledge, words of wisdom, etc all these speaking gifts are given to women as well as men and if God tells a woman to plant a church and pastor it she is following in the biblical footsteps of the women in the upper room on the day of Pentecost.

Also if a woman teaches a man the bible and shows him the way of Jesus more perfectly she is doing the same thing that Pricilla did for Apollos and therefore it is Biblical.

This verses telling nothing about pastorship.
If this is the way you interprete scripture, then you can claime everything for to be right. And you must ignore verses which telling the truth.
But dont tell me that this is what the bible says.

We are talking in this thread are woman pastors biblical?
Priscilla was no pastor in a church. And all this other verses talking not about that woman can be Pastor in a church.
All this gifts you mentioned have nothing to do with to be a pastor in a church. Btw pastoring I cant find in the gift list. Maby you csn Show me.
Pastor today is the leader of an church. In NT it was en eldest, Leader, Shephard, bishop all names for one Position.

I'd be proud to have Rahab, the alleged prostitute, preach and teach to me the Gospel 8 days a week. Not only would I sit in awe as I watched and listened, but I'd even allow her to keep her head uncovered.

The ONLY reason you are so adamant about women pastors is because you are a Charismatic Pentecostal believer and they have been breaking the commands of God for a 100 years.

God called to have prostitutes stoned to death, but Jesus taught Forgiveness, Love, Compassion, Grace, and Mercy. Was Jesus wrong for disobeying the Law (and seemingly God?) :)

Hey :) like to disagree with your statement. No offence this kind of statement reminds me how some say the same thing about "Caught up/Rapture". That you didn't get it from reading the word. Been saying "here I am".. I did. I'vel been listening to a man of God that has gone home now and the power of God was all over this man.. One could say he was in that camp.. yet was not. Oh he believed women could not preach. I'd been listening for hours/days many sermons. I was so blessed. Awesome how you can see Jesus yet also disagree with some things taught. He would say in those moments "this is me speaking this is what I believe".

So been seeking asking how can some have such power be so close to Him yet be off here. Then think.. like I have the 100% pure word/gospel? HAHA nope. For me its people like this where be unwise to toss it out. I am no one they are someone of God studied for many years. And can still be wrong.

He said if you believe women can preach then (forgot the exact word) off your not hearing from God/in error. It was a tad stronger then what I said lol.

I remember Kathryn kuhlman ..lets not get stuck there please. Its what she said many times. She said what she was doing some man of God said no to. "Throughout life, Kuhlman struggled with her calling to be a preacher as a woman. She said her conviction was that God wanted to appoint a man for her job, but that because no man stepped forward, making her the first to have said “yes.”

Theres so much more to this then just YES or NO. Not that simple
