You's saying God is confused, For He gave women the gifts of prophecy and word of knowledge and wisdom.
God never gave Gentile women the gifts you describe.

Joel's prophecy in Joel 2 is for Israel in the tribulation period. Pentecostal charismatic types have it all wrong.

Up to the chin in the thorns and unable to grow. Pray for mercy.

this is INCORRECT, and UNLEARNED, scripture, Acts 2:39 "For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." that scripture right there put an end to that false statement.

so, who is God calling?, let see, Matthew 28:19 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:"Matthew 28:20 "Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

and did not Joel say, Joel 2:32 "And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call."

SHALL CALL? just what the apostle Peter said, Acts 2:39 "For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call."

so that is put to bed,

The thing is, that Joel 2 is standing in a context, and this context is not fulfilled yet.
So acts 2,38 was a partwise fulfillement, but not the complete fullfillement.
But this is the problem which we have today. Things are be claimed by taken them out of the context.

So acts 2,38 was a partwise fulfillement, but not the complete fullfillement.
But this is the problem which we have today. Things are be claimed by taken them out of the context.
it is fulfilled, scripture, Acts 6:1 "And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration." Acts 6:2 "Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables." Acts 6:3 "Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business." Acts 6:4 "But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word." Acts 6:5 "And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:" Acts 6:6 "Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them. " Acts 6:7 "And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith."

and if not convinced,

Acts 10:1 "There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,"
Acts 10:2 "A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway."

captian Cornelius, a GENTILE,

Acts 10:33 "Immediately therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done that thou art come. Now therefore are we all here present before God, to hear all things that are commanded thee of God." Acts 10:34 "Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:" Acts 10:35 "But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him."

now the out pouring of the Holy Ghost on the Gentiles,

Acts 10:44 "While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word."
Acts 10:45 "And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost."

BINGO, there it is......

Peter said under inspiration of the Holy Spirit that Joel was not fulfilled. A real examination of Joel 2 reveals that many things that the prophecy included are yet to be fulfilled. In fact we see them fulfilled at the return of Christ at the end of the age of grace.

You mix and adulterate the scriptures instead of reading them carefully and in context.

Rant all you want but you are far from correct.

It does not appear that Acts fullfilled Joel 2 at all.

The portions of the passage from Joel explicitly cited by Peter in Acts 2 predict:
  1. Holy Spirit poured out
  2. sons and daughters prophesy
  3. young men see visions
  4. old men dream dreams
  5. wonders in heaven shown
  6. signs in the earth (specifically: blood, fire, vapor of smoke)
  7. sun turned into darkness
The events actually recorded in Acts 2 include:
  1. Holy Spirit poured out
  2. sons prophesy (granted for the sake of discussion which assumes their statements concerning the “wonderful works of God” are taken as prophecy in the sense of encouragement).

I have to agree. Acts 2 IS NOT a fulfillment of Joel 2.

Pentecostal's teach that it is becasue they think that it then validate their WANTS to speak in tongues and be slain in the Spirit.

Act chapter 2 is the fulfillment of Joel, scripture, the apostle Peter is clear, Acts 2:16 "But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;"

are any saying that the apostle of God lied? for if so then you're calling God a lier, (God forbid), for it is God who was in Peter speaking,

God never gave Gentile women the gifts you describe.
Women may not have been present (in the story below), but Gentiles were certainly given the ability to speak in tongues (prophesy).

Acts 10:44-47 NKJV - "While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word. And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also. For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God. Then Peter answered, "Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?"

You do not read and study.

Joel 2:30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

This did not happen at Pentecost. Peter never claimed that Pentecost was a complete fulfillment of Joel 2.

Acts 2:16 "But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;"Acts 2:17 "And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:"Acts 2:18 "And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:"Acts 2:19 "And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:"Acts 2:20 "The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:"Acts 2:21 "And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

it has,. and what you don't realize is that when our Lord Jesus died, that was the end of the OLD MAN... Adam, and a NEW MAN rose, so this was fulfilled.

Acts 2:20 "The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:"

Malachi 3:1 "Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts."

Malachi 4:5 "Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:"
WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN?, Matthew 11:12 "And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force." Matthew 11:13 "For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John." Matthew 11:14 "And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come." Matthew 11:15 "He that hath ears to hear, let him hear."

Matthew 17:10 "And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?"
Matthew 17:11 "And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things."
Matthew 17:12 "But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them."
Matthew 17:13 "Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist."

well notuptome, you might need to brush up on your prophecy. you have no clue of what was siginified or was revealed on the cross do you?

that, let me say it again, "THAT DAY OF THE LORD", has come, .... ;) ... and Gone.... well you're a couple days Late, and the third day is upone us, .... when, .Hebrews 9:28 "So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation."

you see notuptome, he has alread "APPEARED" once, and dreadful day of the LORD was unpon us.

You miss that a Party fullfillement is no lie So as the OT Prophets dont know that there will be something like a Christian church.
So they made sometimes a prophety which was as well a near as an far fullfilling.
Ore do you think the prophecies sbout the nation of Israel ( the 12 tribes) are fulfilled yet?
You can maby understand when you imagine the Prophet prophecie stands before a peak (near) and also sees another peak (far) but dont sees the valley between the peaks( church of Christ).
Sorry for my bad english

ERROR, listen, do you know what an "remnant" is, Isaiah 11:11 "And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea."

now who was at ACTS 2?, listen, Acts 2:5 "And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven."Acts 2:6 "Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language."Acts 2:7 "And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?"Acts 2:8 "And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?"Acts 2:9 "Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,"Acts 2:10 "Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,"Acts 2:11 "Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God."

Now we're getting off the topic, if you want to discuss bible prophecy, then start a topic on such.
