Your rejection of the definition of δίδωμι found in Thayer's Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament has nothing to do with my study.

Thayer's Greek Lexicon concerning Acts 5:31:

6. δίδωμι is joined with nouns denoting an act or an effect​

In my opinion its a evasion and rabbit trail, it has no bearing whatsoever on God granting repentance to His Elect. Acts 5:31;11:18

Well, it doesn't surprise me that you have no issue changing Thayer's to prop up your rendering of Scripture since you have no problem changing God's Word [in Post #440 you changed "Israel" in Acts 5:31 and "gentiles" in Acts 11:18 to "His Elect"].


And, no, you do not agree with Thayer's definition because you have to remove part of the definition in order to agree with it:

When the believer does not reject what God has given, that does not equal something "for sinners to perform in order to get saved" any more than someone receiving a gift of $1,000 equals that person "earning" the gift.
