this is what someone here said.

The Swamp has been entrenched for decades. And you think one man, acting without the help of Congress most of the time is going to drain the moldering swamp in just ONE term?

I think not

He never intended to drain the swamp. Unfortunately, politicians lie. :)

When half or more of your own party is part of the swamp, not gonna be drained in 4 years.

It seems even if a person is not corrupt, they could very well be the longer they stay in congress or the senate.

If only term limits were imposed, I think it would go a long way to draining the swamp in and of itself.

I believe that he and the Republican Congress (when they had full control) could have done way more by forcing things through with the Nuclear Policy way........ Making it only take a simple majority of votes to enact Legislation.

Truth is, the Republicans in Congress (vast majority) do not have the courage to take on the Democrats, and/or have no desire to actually do what needs doing to fix our Nation.

IMO, Trump had the courage to do this, but he would never get the Repubs to support him, so, not very much got done. His one FAILURE (IMO) was not getting the Wall built! Breaking that promise to America should prevent him from ever being reelected again IMO.

I am not sure he could have built much more than he did... remember, he had to fight tooth and nail to get funds for it.. I think Congress finally allowed him to get money from military funds... but I remember it was difficult funding it

I agree, but I would add a few more failures to that. Yes Trump was one man but he had all the powers vested in the president of the United States. And we can see how easily those powers are being used by imposter Biden to destroy America. So there was no excuse as far as constitutional authority being an issue.

1. Trump failed to built a proper wall. He put up a fence instead, and all of it was not even completed. A solid concrete structure with a double layer (extending at least 50 ft above and 50 ft below ground level, and at least 20-30 ft wide), with 24/7 drone surveillance right along the entire border, was a necessity to block the underground tunnels of the cartels and to prevent the scaling of the fence. The wall should have had the capability of withstanding rocket propelled missiles (which the cartels have used in the past). This should have been an Army Corps of Engineers project under National Guard watch and military supervision. He could even have deployed soldiers to help build the wall since this was a national security issue. None of that happened.

2. He failed to fire all of the Obama holdovers and clean house within 30 days (like Biden has done in reverse). Then he failed to find proper patriotic and loyal people to head up his various departments. There were plenty to choose from, but he made bad hiring decisions over and over again from day one, then fired the rascals and replaced them with more rascals. Jeff Sessions should have been fired the day after he was hired for his betrayal. Perhaps Pence was a traitor all along.

3. He failed to set up a Special Independent Investigative Commission to root our election fraud from every state. The Democrats had complained about this during the last election, and this should have been one of the highest priorities, starting in 2017. And yet it was somehow totally neglected, with the result that the election was literally stolen by the Democrats. Now the Democrats want to set up a commission to investigate January 6 (which is simply a ploy).

4. Trump failed to veto all the ridiculous spending bills presented to him, since they were full of pork and dollars to the friends of Democrats (such as Planned Parenthood). In fact he should have presented his own lean and mean budgets first and ensured that they were honored.

the first year that trump was in office, he tried to get real things done.

but, congress refused to work with him, would not pass anything he wanted. so, he began to compromise, and slowly began to sink into the swamp instead of draining it.....

For the sake or not arguing, lets all assume 4 years was not enough time.

Didn't Trump do the exact opposite of "draining the swamp" by appointing crocodile after crocodile to high positions of power? If true, then wouldn't more time actually have an adverse effect on draining the swamp?

I think Trump really did try to do good, but he has a track record of having questionable judgment when it comes to who he associates himself with. He didn't appoint the right people and he ultimately did virtually nothing to drain the swamp. If anything, the swamp might be larger now.

I used to think there were possible political solutions to our problems. But no more. The failure of Trump has further convinced me of that. This fallen world is under the complete control of the Adversary, and has been for millennia. Both parties. ALL governments.

1 John 5:19
We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

Matthew 4:8-9

Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to him, “All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me.”

haven't read this but have copied for later

The 2nd thing on your list REALLY hit home! I could never figure out why he didn't DO that.. fire all those corrupt, evil, Satanic so and sos...

That is the one thing I don't really appreciate about Trump... Still... to say he was the lesser of 2 evils is the Understatement of the Centur y IMO

deep state is secretive, doesn't want We the People to know the evil they do. They know most people woudn't approve..

yet the truth has a way of coming out eventually
