don't tell me...............
oh wow... He did more than I realized (according to this quick google search)
never mind, maybe we don't want to know.......
might make someone cry

have you seen "Heaven is for real"?

Haven't watched the movie yet, but read the book a few years ago.
Then found a children's story book based from it at the library.
Beautiful pictures..... when my kids were really little we would look at it (sometimes during those real tough days too) and it almost instantly calmed them.
I liked him in Growing Pains. He probably should have stuck to sitcoms.

Regarding Kirk Cameron, I think it was "Unstoppable".

My children literally begged me to smash it to pieces.

They didn't want to run the risk of someone taking it out of the garbage and possibly watching it.
that bad eh?

When I hear "unstoppable" in reference to movie titles I think of the 2010 train movie, with denzel washington and chris pine, based on true events:

'The Boy Who Came Back From Heaven' movie/book was made up. I just watched 'Heaven is For Real' Saturday and I believe it's a true story. Another movie I recommend, lol, bc it's good.

Sorry for mixing the two up, but I just skimmed the article that you linked to, and it questions the credibility of this movie as well.

Anyhow, this is why I tend to stay away from movies which claim to be based upon a "true story".

To each his/her own. To me the story of a boy leaving his body during surgery and getting to see Heaven, angels, relatives and Jesus is believable. The famous 'Cokeville Miracle' is based on a 'true story' from the 80's in Cokeville Wyoming. It has kids who also saw angels and departed relatives that were helping them when a bomb went off. I watched it 3 times so far, lol.
@GG I think your kids would like 'Heaven is for Real' the boy is 4 in the movie.

I've never seen the movie, so I cannot give an accurate assessment of it.

I have seen many other alleged accounts of people going to heaven, though, and their descriptions of it were totally unscriptural.

That is the reason for my hesitancy.

Although this isn't really a funny topic, several years ago, I searched online to see if anybody else rejected the "Left Behind" teachings as much as I did.

Well, I stumbled upon this booklet entitled "Kiss My Left Behind"...and I almost died laughing.

I'm laughing even now as I type...

It was some guy's refutation of the "Left Behind" series.

I never even read it because I could hardly breathe from laughing so much after simply reading the title.

LOL!!!

Yeah, it's 1:19 here, and I normally wake up around 4:00 or 5:00, so I'd better be heading to bed.

Good night.
