God Not In Control?
Dan 4v17: "...In order that the living may know That the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, Gives it to whomever He will, And sets over it the lowest of men.'"

God is in control, but not reigning as King yet. He has supreme power over His creation, yet does not exercise that power, therefore, the world is in darkness. We are to be the light, pointing people to Jesus. Currently, Satan is the god of this world, the ruler of the darkness.
Thank you. My whole point of this is that I do believe God is in control of all things on earth, and even though wickedness abounds, He allows it as His Day is not yet.
Would that be correct?
Thanks again.

When we reach the 1000 year millennial reign, you will see God being in control of everything that happens.

For now, no. God knows what will happen because he lives outside time, but that does not mean everything that happens is in his will.
Something to think on.
Thanks.

Yes, God is full of Grace and Mercy! And yes, he does allow wicked to lead, and believe He has purpose. Pharaoh, for example. And all the wicked kings of Israel and Judah. Nebuchadnezzar. Goes along with the 2 reasons you listed.

My point was that C Capps said not everything was under God's control on earth, and I disagree. As said, he went on further, but did not catch any of it because I was in disbelief at what I'd heard. Maybe I'm reading too much in to it, but don't think so. :)
well I don't know what C Capps was saying and I might have listened to all because he may have used that as rhetorical. bECAUSE i DO KNOW c Capps HAS SAID many times God is in control :).

Now There are things God can't do .

What do you mean? God can do anything! God can not lie. God can not sin. But Can Can do anything right?
God is in control Yet God will not hear or listen to the Prayers of the wicked And God can remove His hand from those and chose not to be in control. Doing so does not weaken his Power or sovereignty.

Sure, we have free will to make decisions, and did not think what C Capps said was wicked. It is my belief that God has a Hand in what goes on in this world, and 'not in control of things on this earth' as heard this morning just sits wrong with me.
Right. The bulk majority of things along the long arc of our lives are completely out of our control. There may be blips on the timeline of our lives, ups and downs, but the far view shows a general trend of arcing in the direction of what's best for us. God's hand is in it.

Many people are not viewing their lives with a far view. We are often right here in the now and have no idea how to have faith that God is already planning great things for us when we are praying for help. Be patient, trust God, wait on Him.

All things work together for the good for those who love God. Believe it.

I believe God allows us to make some choices. You may choose what you wear, eat, who you associate with, etc. You may make good decisions and bad decisions. You have the Bible to help you figure these things out.

God is in control. In His wisdom He has allowed for the free will of angels and mankind to exist. This is part of His plan.

God allowed the Hebrews to control what kind of ruler was to lead them, a judge appointed by Him or a king appointed by Him. They choose poorly and suffered under the hand of the leader they got.

God has even allowed "chance" to play some part in our everyday lives, to what degree I do not know. (Eccles. 9:11)

Will try and research which recording it was. As said, had tuned in after he was well in to his lesson, and am sure what he’d said at that point was not taken out of context from it. 🙂

Satan is "the prince of this world"... but.....God is King and in full control.

by "the prince of this world", is meant the devil; why he is so called, (See Gill on John 12:31); the reason why Christ chooses to use this circumlocution, rather than to say Satan or the devil cometh, is partly to point out what a powerful adversary he had, and was about to engage with, and partly to observe to his disciples, what they must expect from the world, even hatred and persecution; since Satan was the prince of it, and had such powerful influence over the minds of the men of it ...

There are those ...new age religion types ....that believe and teach that ....Satan is in total control.
The Bible says ...in the end times there will be...GREAT DECEPTIONS
This is one.

My question is, how can a man of God teach that God is not in control of things (everything, to be exact) on this planet? Just did not sit right with me. Not doubting his faith/salvation or calling, just his doctrine on some things.
There was a book out a while back called, "Your God is Too Small", in this case the book's title was a perfect fit for this deceiver.

Well, Jesus is not King of this world yet. Jesus is not on the throne yet. He is not ruling and reigning over all creation yet. When He does, you can be there will not be the darkness you see now.

God is in control in the fact that He can step in at anytime, but God also is allowing Satan to be the god of this world, the ruler of the darkness.

2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

You notice I sad....God.

Why are you inserting Jesus..instead?
Curious...if I am missing a point.

Jesus is God.

Allowing people to make choices for themselves in no way undermines God's sovereignty. People seem to be quite confused about this to say God is micro managing every little thing in the universe. Yikes! To say such a thing is to say God is making evil doers commit their evil acts. Anyone who thinks that should banish such thoughts. God holds people responsible for the things they do.
