well as par for the way certain people respond

quote scripture and dismiss other people

I can also quote scripture, however, doing so does not make me right and it does not make anyone right

the devil can quote scripture and he is still the devil. let's not pretend scripture quoting somehow increases the validity of what we say
what is the meaning of your response? I tested nebuchadnezzer. In your anger at me you told me to test Neb. How else may i test him? by works?

Why don't you name one or two from the Bible? So I can look them up and read about them.
Amos 5:21
“I hate, I despise your feasts! I cannot stand the stench of your solemn assemblies.

Isaiah 1:11
"What good to Me is your multitude of sacrifices?" says the LORD. "I am full from the burnt offerings
of rams and the fat of well-fed cattle; I take no delight in the blood of bulls and lambs and goats.

Isaiah 66:3a
Whoever slaughters an ox is like one who slays a man; whoever sacrifices a lamb is like one who breaks a dog's neck; whoever presents a grain offering is like one who offers pig's blood; whoever offers frankincense is like one who blesses an idol.

Jeremiah 14:12
Although they may fast, I will not listen to their cry; although they may offer burnt offerings and grain
offerings, I will not accept them. Instead, I will finish them off by sword and famine and plague.

Hosea 2:11
I will put an end to all her exultation: her feasts, New Moons, and Sabbaths--all her appointed feasts.

Hosea 5:6
They go with their flocks and herds to seek the LORD, but they do not find Him; He has withdrawn Himself from them.

Amos 8:10
I will turn your feasts into mourning and all your songs into lamentation. I will cause everyone to wear sackcloth
and every head to be shaved. I will make it like a time of mourning for an only son, and its outcome like a bitter day.

I understand this.
When a person declines into cognitive dissonance, you can not break through to them by discussing point by point with them. You must ask them questions until their answers require them to think.

if we only remember the death of Christ, shall we then proceed to forget the resurrection?

you have a problem. Jesus said many things and so many in fact, they are not all in the Bible (that is in the Bible though)

we shall just remember He died. never born and stayed dead.

I know for a FACT you do not do every single thing Jesus ever said to do. You gonna sell all you have and give it to the poor?

No no of course not cause He was only speaking to the rich young man

hey maybe Jesus was only speaking to those around Him in the upper room? I mean He was only talking to them....

you have so much in common with the Jehovah's Witnesses
Jesus Christ gave a direct instruction to the Church on how to "Remember" him

Not His Birth, Not His Resurrection, But His "Death", Its That Simple :)

Jesus Christ gave a clear directive to the Church

(This Do In Remembrance Of Me)

1 Corinthians 11:23-26KJV
23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:
24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.

Why don't you name one or two from the Bible? So I can look them up and read about them.
There are three spring feasts, one summer, and three fall feasts. The spring feasts predicted Christ and all the predictions came about on the day that was celebrated. The summer feast predicted the giving of the law in our hearts and that also has happened on the day it was celebrated. The three fall feasts predict the new Jerusalem and what they predict will probably also happen on the day it is celebrated. Scripture tells us no one knows the year it will happen.

The spring feasts are: Passover, Feast of Unleavened Bread, First Fruits. The summer feast is Pentecost.

The fall feasts are prophetic. They are the Feast of Trumpets, The Day of Atonement, and the Feast of Tabernacles or Booths.

They are described in Leviticus 23.

So Leviticus 23 describes how to celebrate them?
The feasts are a basic explanation that the lord gives us of His ways. To fully understand all they teach takes an in depth study of scripture. To understand the spring feasts and all they tell us you need to study the life of Moses, the freeing of the slaves and how it relates to Christ freeing us, and what happened the night the Lord passed over and did not take the babies when blood was on the doorposts. It also requires a study of all the events surrounding the crucifixion and how the feasts relate to that.

The study of Pentecost needs to be also a study of law and how the Lord uses law and wants us to understand what law is.

A study of Acts is also necessary as there is a question about whether the Lord feels this celebration is something we should do.

One poster who has decided to act as a personal enemy has posted scripture as Isaiah has told us---that if feasts and special holy days are celebrated as the idol worshippers do instead of as scripture tells them to do then the Lord hates that sort of celebration. These scriptures need to be understood. All scripture needs to be looked on as scripture, it is such a slap in the face of the Lord to say the Lord disagrees with the Lord. Christians believe scripture and never attack other Christians as this poster has vowed to do, distorting scripture to do so.

After you read Leviticus 23, it is only a start to the study necessary to fully understand the feasts and why the Lord gave them to us.

... the Lord passed over and did not take the babies when blood was on the doorposts.
Those marked for death were identified as first-born, not babies. Exodus 12:12 identifies first born as men, even. “On that same night I will pass through Egypt and strike down every firstborn- both men and animals- and I will bring judgement on all the gods of Egypt. I am the Lord.”

Every firstborn son in Egypt will die, from the firstborn son of Pharaoh, who sits on the throne, to the firstborn
son of the female slave, who is at her hand mill, and all the firstborn of the cattle as well.
Exodus 11:5

You try to complicate the very clear instruction of Jesus Christ below, why?

No, I am not. You have made the Lord's Supper or trying to make it a law and use it to discredit those who see the birth of Jesus as recorded in the Gospels prophesied in the Old Testament as something that is unbiblical because the Bible doesn't say to do so.

You are trying to use the Lord's Supper to control. You do know there are Christians who never eat and drank of the "Lord Supper"?

Next, you will say they are not saved? There are many things Christians do today that the Bible doesn't say to do BUT are praiseworthy, Good, pure, and of a good report.

Honoring the Birth of our Lord meets that criteria Biblically.

you must have missed the directive in your spirit to worship our Creator because of the birth of Christ and His resurrection

Your claim is false, there is no biblical instruction whatsoever to "Remember" the birth of Jesus Christ, let alone put a date of December 25th on it

You can make all the opinionated claims you desire, there is no biblical instruction whatsoever (Fact)

If you want a simple answer, but you don't want to learn about God giving us the feasts then the answer is no.

the Bible shows us that even shepherds worshipped Christ as he lay a defenseless baby. you want to ignore that. the skies were filled with angels rejoicing at His birth. you want to ignore that. you choose to ignore all the events surrounding His birth. Your choice so live with it and the consequences are obviously a jealous and self righteous spirit that condemns everyone who celebrates His birth and praises God for His faithfulness and love for mankind

the Bible also shows us that God saw fit to speak to Mary at the tomb through angelic visitation but you choose to ignore that. You choose to ignore the greatest event that has occurred on this earth and you are condemnatory of those who voice their praise to God for His salvation and the fact that the grave could not hold Jesus

I am choosing to ignore you as I am sure most have already done...or at least they do not respond to you. you are outrageous and totally wrong but that is your choice.

sometimes you just have to shake the dust off your feet and I am doing that with you. you are not teaching truth, but condemnation and a law you actually made up for yourself. you enjoy that
