I'm going to get more details on this but I just read a few pages in the book Blitz by David Horowitz, one of my very favorite authors.

There was this R and a D in US Congress who became pals and one day someone asked how one of them could be pals with someone on the other side of the aisle. I think it was the D who was asked this. He said "Because ____ [can't recall name of his pal, theR] gets the joke"

"The joke" was that most taxpayers are (my words) chumps who support certain candidates actually believing they will DO something 4 the voters when all they do is help themselves to all the govt $$ and etc...

Of course, I knew this kind of thing was going on, have for some time... but pretty brazen to just say it out loud...

but hey... Why not?

Is there anything we can do about it?

We tried

We elected Trump

But now the vote has been stolen from us by BOTH rotten parties..

Pray and command. The real authority in the world is the Church. The ruler of the world system is Satan. Lord Jesus defeated Satan and gave His people authority and power. If we fail to exercise that authority and power, Satan goes about his business unhindered. The church is responsible for that.

Yes, they've lost the confidence of the American voter. I'll never vote again until I see a third party - but then you know, even they're only human, so they're going to do what humans do best - lie and cheat.

My hope and faith is in God alone.

this is right on

I believe all us Christians have been weak, self included... although sometimes we don't even realize we are weak... I mean, we are all human and easily blindsided by the master demon... who of course has been around longer than any of us... knows "the system" better than anyone... knows our weaknesses and etc... We could not beat him @ all if it weren't for, as you say Jesus defeating him. The thing is, it is... well, words escape me at the moment... We are overwhelmed at times...

Anyway, the thought occurs to me that we have to be involved, not just through prayer, although that is the first thing we must do... I think "our" Congress members need to be contacted and...

yeh, I know... things seem hopeless...

OK, here are the specifics I said I would get (from the book Blitz by David Horowitz. His words are in quotes, mixed with my own outside of quotes or in brackets):

Mark Leibovich… correspondent for the NYT in 2013 published This Town about our nation’s capital… [I want to find that book asap]... an instant number one best seller. "This town exposed the political parasites who infest" DC “feeding off special interest money while claiming to work for the people. Leibovich cited the example of Quinn Gillespie & Associates, one of the most successful lobbying firms in DC. It was founded by Republican... Ed Gillespie and Democrat…Jack Quinn. Leibovich asked why these two from opposing parties were such good pals. Quinn replied ‘Ed got the joke.’”

The joke was on a couple levels… it was a joke on the taxpayers, who "unwittingly supported the corrupt" system through the paying of taxes. It was on American voters "who believed their elected representatives were" dedicated to improving things. "Quinn confessed that ‘the joke' is the deceptive notion that 'everyone involved in the world in which we operate is a patriot.'”

“In recent years, the people have become increasingly aware that “the joke” is on us. We play by the rules and pay our taxes while the politicians laugh behind our backs and treat us like fools.

“Trump was elected because he is not a politician. He promised to ‘drain the swamp, build the wall, and make America great again. And he actually attempted to keep his promises [and did except where obstructed by Democrats].” That’s why the system hated and sought to destroy him.

H cited Stephen Miller who said: “[This] president dared to disrupt [the] 2 party betrayal of the American people over many decades: betrayal on trade… China...foreign policy... [the] southern border, betrayal on our economy decade after decade… administration after administration. This president dared to stand up to defy that betrayal… But the people who profited like parasites off that betrayal [tried] to prevent him from executing the agenda the American people installed him to execute…

I think the "joke" is that "D" and "R" are really working together but throw red meat to different types of people.

There was a time when "conservative" had more to do being fiscally conservative and not socially. Now, most conservatives, including Trump, feel it's okay to add to our national debt, spend liberally, as long as we declare to be "pro-life" and anti-lgbt, we are considered "conservative". That's the real joke... politicians love spending our money while making themselves richer, regardless of party lines.

JesusWhereRU,

Remember when Trump was pushing for the $2000 stimulus check? The Democrats actually supported him on that. I said before, when Trump and Democrats agree on something, they are probably both wrong.

Trump did not do that far as I can tell

He gave us his salary

He really did want America to be great..

He did everything a true Christian president would do. you can bring up his past all day long but i say Big deal... We do not vote for perfect saints... and besides... He seemed more saintly than... but that's not saying much... It goes back to what I just said

He did everything a true Christian president would do...

if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck... maybe it's a duck...
