The simple question was how can me Dwyane see the crux behind me as well???

The answer at the start if he video was that we can't see it simultaneously...
That my friend, is simply incorrect...
Misleading. He threw in the word simultaneously for the south only...

Not interested in such deceptions mate...
You cannot explain it. Nor can the video. 20 minutes sleep lost...

There is a South African on this forum...
If you like we can try to arrange a celestial confirmation...
We can try to see if we can both see the crux at the same time...
There is something to be said for testing these things. There are many more experiments the average person can conduct.

Check some out for yourself: http://www.testingtheglobe.com/quest2.html

@PC123 - did you read post #206 and post #207 ???
#206. Thats fine
#207. Thas fine as well..
Doesnt address the specific detail that im studying... The crux... The south pole

Question still remains Garry... How can we be looking south at crux at the same time???

Im sure there are many tests. I can only conduct one at a time but, right...

Im not pro FE or anti FE. Before this is concluded that the scientific explanation of how our solar system moves through space cannot be correct... I think they're both wrong... None of them have the infallible truth... Only parts of it

Recently iv been observing the movements and orientation of the southern cross.
Iv concluded that there must be one south pole making that particular FE model impossible

Southern cross cannot be in front of me and behind me at the same time

flat earth.jpg

And the lies of the video are just that... Lies...
The crux can be seen simultaneously from any dark place in the south... Just like Polaris in the north
Millions of us can see it at any given moment. Not just Dwayne and Diego

Maybe my mate is right... Americans... LoL...:) Hello... We do exist down here...

Anyway... Thats the given explanation. We can't see it simultaneously... Noted and documented... Study complete

Hey mate! You have misunderstood. Slow down. Pay attention. The answer to your question is here. You are overlooking it.

You seem to be "hung up" on this statement from the video:

The supposed "South Pole star, Sigma Octantis," the Southern Crux and other outer constellations conversely can NOT be seen simultaneously from every point in the Southern Hemi'sphere' the way Polaris can from every point in the North.

Please pay particular attention to the last ten words:

the way Polaris can from every point in the North

You need to "unhang" yourself from the word 'simultaneously', calm down, and pay attention.

The key phrase here is 'at the same time'.

It is not [directly] in front of you continually at all times.
#215

Yes it is Garry... The crux is always directing us south within 30 degrees

It is never [directly] in front of more than one of you at the same time.
Thats false Gazza... I can see at the same time as the s African or at the same time as the s American

Only two of you may possibly ever see it at the same time.
Correct... Just like only two of you can only see it at a time in the north if i pick 3 points...
Can u see Polaris in the day? No
I can't see the crux in the day.
Neither north or south can see those stars all at once

So then, you acknowledge that two of us are looking south at the crux simultaneously. But no explanation how

These things are true because it is moving in a circular path whereby it passes by each of you to the south once a day (at night) - but, at different times relative to each of you.
False again... we know what we are seeing... You are inventing things...

When its 10pm in Santiago its 4am in South Africa
They're both looking south at the crux

When its 4am in Santiago its 6pm here
We're both looking at the crux

When its 10pm here in Johannesburg its 4am
We are both looking at crux

Sorry mate but what your imagining is false... Im looking at it...
Whether you believe me or not is another story, your in America, you can't see it, so

So lets recap then @GaryA
According the the FE model the south pole is everywhere
The southern cross is either a myth or can only be see from one position at a time

Is that about right?

You are not "getting" what I mean when I say '[directly] in front of you'. I don't mean "anywhere in the sky in the general southern direction" - I mean when the crux is "straight up" from the 'South Celestial Pole' point in the sky that the crux rotates around.

I see the crux spinning clockwise
- around the 'SCP' mentioned above - correct?

When more than one of you, Diego, and Dwayne can see the crux at the same time - the position and orientation of the crux relative to the 'SCP' is different. For example, one will see it somewhere to the left while the other will see it to the right - correct?

It is only [directly] in front of you (as you look due south) when it is "straight up"; otherwise, it is "off to one side or the other"..

Make sense?

Again... The crux points south with in 30 degrees. Where ever you are on earth

Something like that - yes. Remember, we are discussing the FE model. The earth is stationary while the stars are continually moving clockwise (east-to-west).
