But you are seeing crux off to the left of the 'SCP' and the other fellow is seeing crux off to the right of the 'SCP' - correct?
And NZ sees crux at the right-most and Africa sees it at the left-most - correct?
Same thing here - for those where it is dark.

But South is rimwise on Flat Earth. So the Southern Cross could point anywhere on the rim, and still be seen as pointing South, no?@Moses_Young
Have you got a compass???
Go out at night and use your compass to determine south... Then look at the sky above it to find the southern cross.
It might be sideways or even upside down depending where you are and when you look.
If your near a city u may struggle to find it as the two faint stars will be impossible to see.
Near small country towns is ideal or even better, in the middle of the bush
But if you do this a few nights you will see that the southern cross always faces south.
Ive been watching and documenting the crux for over 2 months now since i moved to Tassie...
I can go outside and find the southern cross if its not cloudy and know its south. Confirm it with my compass

Also, if the Earth were a ball, and the Southern Cross were pointing to a single Southern point (rather than the rim), the Southern Cross should be viewable from everywhere in the South simultaneously, right? Like the Pole Star is said to be in the North? If it cannot be, this says to me the Ball Earth model is wrong, even if the Flat Earth model of the heavens is inadequate.
I agree that Flat Earth theory doesn't well explain all the motions of the heavenly bodies (but neither does Ball Earth). This is why I believe the mysteries of the Heavenly bodies are best treated separately to the shape of the Earth. One thing that is easily testable is that water bodies do not curve, and that is proof enough for me that Earth is flat, no matter how the sun, moon and stars move and are observed.

I don't know enough about the Southern Cross, but I've read it can't be seen simultaneously at all places in the South. If so, that's further evidence against ball-Earth.The cross can be viewed from anywhere in the south just like Polaris in the north...

If your facing crux your facing south... One south pole
If your facing dipper your facing north... One north pole
Their simple facts... No mystery about that
