I came at first, not knowing what I believed exactly. Struggled for years, but in struggle you find wisdom. Read books on many faiths and what they believed. I found it entirely interesting, all the little nuances. Took up meditation, which I would recommend for the purpose of knowing your mind well. I studied the occult and all their rituals, I didn't believe in it but there was something to it.

I witnessed others performing rituals and claiming to see things they had performed the ritual to summon. It got me thinking and I wanted to understand it, what exactly was going on here? Were they liars? Were they lunatics?

I went to science for the answers and they had found one. Many do not know but science knows the power of faith. Studies about people hallucinating with placebos, a ritual of another kind. They called it "confirmation bias" and it made me think deeply about the nature of the mind.

That's when I discovered something interesting my meditations. A power to faith I had not known. We ARE faith and belief in a way. We are who believe or have faith we are. The persona is an illusion, we can put many part of ourselves simply by having faith that our thoughts or actions will be a different way.

We can learn great wisdom by not judging people because our preconceived ideas about people blind us to the whole picture. Keep an open mind when you observe and have faith where you cannot know, I would say is best, based on what I know.

Thank you for reading and have faith.

Have faith in what exactly?

I would also like to add for some proof. With enough faith you can change your dreams to whatever you wish.

It's good that you want to be a better person ☀️ Are you following Jesus?
I'm a bit confused on matters of faith right now. You could say I follow the bible though, I'm just not certain I believe the afterlife part. As none of us really are yet.

That's understandable since you've read lots on different religions and occultism. I'd be confused too.

The bible contradicts all of those though. Try reading it alone, so you can get a clearer picture, especially of who Jesus is. Read John? Let me know what you think 🏵️.

Well I did at some point once or twice. I may need to reread it. My memory sees a bit foggy on it's contents. I mainly remember the main rules of the faith.

Yes I do recall some of it at least. What part specifically would you like my take on? Are you concerned I question the divinity of Christ?

It's a concept I struggle with at times. I can't really be certain if Christ was God in a way. I mean I have some faith but also like certainty.

Just think of me a wizened fool, because if you around and do foolish things and somehow survive them you become the wizened fool. Sometimes it is people know their right from their wrong.

I have 3 questions, if you wouldn't mind answering :)

If Christ was God, and you believed and followed Him, how would that change your life, according to His Word?

If Christ was God and you did not believe, how would that change your life, according to His word?

Do you seek the same evidence as Richard Dawkins here?

I believe in God anyway. I can't say what happened 2000 years ago. Just to give you my perspective.

If Christ was God then I would follow more closely and ardently. If he was not, then the bible has wisdom I should heed anyway.

I don't think we'll ever get real proof of God though. I think maybe that's the way it was intended to be. Might even account for "psychics" not being able to prove their abilities to science. It could be God doesn't want science to know. I've met people who can read my thoughts, I've even tried to do it myself with some success. Science can't account for things that do not wish to be found.

God isn't hiding :) Many scientists have dedicated their lives to finding "scientific evidence" for God, and indeed they have. Don't you know about it?

I can't say what happened 2000 years ago.

That's why many real people who saw what happened, gave their testimony and recorded it in the world's bestselling book (bible).
Do you believe all of history is a lie? You weren't there for any of it, after all.

You know, the bible says there's eternal separation from God, for those who deny Jesus as being Son of God.
Now you might say, "I don't believe in the afterlife etc." But that doesn't change the truth.
In the same way, I could say, I don't believe you're a male. But that doesn't change the truth, right?

After that, wouldn't you say the most important job anyone on earth has, is to find out if Jesus is who he says he is? You say you believe in God, why not believe He came to earth?

Another thing, its important not to lean on your own understanding ~ (biblical wisdom). For example, there's truly no such thing as a "wizened fool" - you're either wise, or a fool.

If you're interested in finding evidence, let me know :)

I often find that scientists simply want to avoid the spirit within them. When I sat and had a detailed discussion with an academic one thing was abundantly clear, he wasn't willing to discuss his feelings and even give his feelings the place to flourish and be recognised

Well in all honesty, I have all the proof in the world in a way. The problem is, is it valid proof?

Tell me, what if you thought you heard God at some point? How would that change things for you? Would it still be a faith to you?
