Hi. I'm Nick. I'm here to simply "up" the volume of conversation about God in my life. It's been waining over a long period. I have been a pretty useless Christian for about 20 years. I find it incredibly difficult to "feel" Him these days and it feels all the way impossible to "hear" Him. Also, I feel that the pace of this world's emancipation from Him has exponentially increased, only in the last few years! I think we all need to stand together more tightly than ever. Looking forward to connecting and sharing.

Yes. We are in the last days and we could all sharpen up, at least those of us living in the comfortable Western world. Our persecuted brethren put us to shame.

Your honesty is a blessing. God can only help those who accept that they have a problem. It can be hard to come back (been there, done that) but it starts at the cross. You can always start again. God is not troubled by our failures. He uses them to our good and for His glory. See Jesus crucified for you. See his blood pouring out of His wounds for payment of your sin. See Him die in your place because He loves you that much. Go to the tomb. See that it is empty. See Him risen, exalted, ruling and reigning. Realise that He did all this for you! You too can rule and reign with Christ, if you will let Him rule and reign in you. The truth will set you. It's good to confess sin, but not to stay in mourning over it. Christ made us new creations and we need to live in the reality of that, not what we used to be before we were born again. Hey, I'm cheering myself up now!

Thanks, Gideon. Love to read such stuff - totally based on God's Word. The truth will set you free. (But we are always 'slaves of righteousness', and 'Jesus is always Lord', and it is 'the obedience of faith'. I say this because the 'comfortable complacent Western world' doesn't really know what it is to 'know Christ' or to 'follow Christ'. It's NOT 'fun and games'. The shallowness and sentimentality that pervades 'Western evangelical Christianity' is appalling, to say the least!

But to cheer you up, here's a poster! Consecration.jpg

Nice to meet you and so glad the Lord led you to CC to connect with fellow Christians:) Actually Jesus told us these times would happen so it's just a reminder to 'BE READY' and 'occupy til He comes'. God bless you and your family there in Australia!

Hey. I do love it how switched on some of you are. I myself don't have such clarity, but I desire it. I desire it immensely. My side goal here is to find someone like me. Someone like me who has found their way to clarity after a seemingly hapless 20 or so years. I'd want them as a mentor. Do you know any one here like that?

Thanks, De-Emerald for liking the story of the Boatman and the Professors. It's tragic that our great Bible experts here on CC are pre-occupied with useless and endless discussions, and forget the need for the living and practical knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
