That’s for sure one thing I don’t miss about Alabama...twisters. But I reckon them folks a piece out yonder west in tornado alley are getting far worse weather than ole Bama.
Funny thing is.......people call us in Bama ignorant rednecks BUT THEY ARE THE ONES that drive on the Parkway and park on the driveway, right? Go figure......

Yeah, we do also. Parkway is just one name for such roads.

One Example:

Memorial Parkway, also known as the Parkway, is a major thoroughfare in Huntsville, Alabama that carries over 100,000 vehicles on average a day. It, in whole or in part, follows U.S. Route 231, U.S. Route 431, U.S. Route 72, and State Route 53 through the Huntsville city limits. It is a limited access road through most of Huntsville city proper, providing exits to the frontage road which allows acces…

I'm making a killing in coffee futures...four year high in prices... and going higher. Just saying.

Them wonderful beans are going to get expensive like gold.

The last concert I was at was Trans-Siberian Orchestra. My wife was so wired and excited from going...she had never been to one before. It was as much fun watching and listening to her as it was the concert.

But the concert a couple of years ago was pretty good too. Lasers, Tesla coils, pyrotechnics, LED screens and great music. Fun stuff!

Maybe I'll do it again sometime. I much prefer the small ones. You know the type...where a friend has a guitar and can sing and you are having a BBQ with some more friends. Those are the types of concerts that are the best.

Gonna have one of those next weekend... hosting about 50 for my 10yr anniversary party at the lake. Gonna be a blast.

I don't bother to pick individual stocks...I use 2 tracker funds. Both are ticking along nicely (y). Apparently over the long term they will do just as well (or better) as managed funds especially when fee's are taken into account. I'm not knowledgeable enough to pick individual stocks lol (nor the spare time to do the leg work lol). Hope your beans go well.

I quite like trans-Siberian Orchestra, haven't seen them live though :( lol.

I did a bunch of stock trading years ago in the midst of the recession. I ended up breaking even while the market lost about 20% during the same time period. I considered myself lucky and maybe a little skillful, but in the end I found it was more like gambling than I imagined even though I always did my research. There's just so many variables that can affect a stock's price that it's mind-boggling. Peter Lynch, a legendary investor once wrote, "You can't see the future through a rear view mirror." And he's right.
