I ask this question bc so many seem to have much scripture knowledge but very little heart knowledge!
Jesus said to know me is to know the Father!
We know his word or the bible will give us his character, his plan, it shows us his love, anger patience,long-suffering and the cost!
Knowing God is PERSONAL,if it isn't for you you have missed his purpose!
Is knowing God
intellectual,literal,consuming,inspiring,forsaking or overwhelming?
Please be nice, give your opinion but don't argue!
Thank you!
Isa 52:5 Now therefore, what have I here, saith the LORD, that my people is taken away for nought? they that rule over them make them to howl, saith the LORD; and my name continually every day is blasphemed.
Isa 52:6 Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak: behold, it is I.
Joh 14:7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
Joh 14:8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
Joh 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
Joh 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
To know Jesus is to know the Father, and to see Jesus is to see the Father the only way we can see the invisible God.
Contrary to what some people believe there is only one throne in heaven which is the throne of God and the Lamb, God in the glorified body of the man Christ Jesus, and they do not understand the meaning of Jesus at the right hand of God which does not mean Jesus is sitting next to the Father.
The only person we will see in heaven is Jesus and if you have seen Him you have seen the Father.
Luk 10:38 Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.
Luk 10:39 And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.
Luk 10:40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.
Luk 10:41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:
Luk 10:42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
A personal relationship with Jesus who is God is the most important aspect of being a Christian, and will cause a person to be led of the Spirit and show love which love is the fulfilling of the law.
1Ti 6:14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
1Ti 6:15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
1Ti 6:16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
Jesus dwells in the light which no person can approach unto, and no person has ever seen Jesus, and no person will ever see Jesus for He is the invisible Spirit that showed a visible image of Himself.
Riddle of the day.
Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Why does the Bible say the Son shall be called the everlasting Father.
Eph 4:6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Why does the Bible only attribute the Father as being God.
Joh 16:23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
Jesus said when He resurrects to heaven do not ask Him anything but only ask the Father and He will do it.
Joh 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Joh 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
But here Jesus said when He resurrects to heaven to ask Him and He will do it.
Why would Jesus say do not ask Him but only ask the Father and He will do it, and then say ask me and I will do it.
Do they know who you are Jesus.
Simple solution.
There is one God who is a Holy Spirit and that is why the Spirit moved in creation, and Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit dwells in the saints, and Father is a title for God, and the Son is the man Christ Jesus and there is no God the Son.
And if you disagree answer the riddle.
