i find no man anywhere capable of leading others to the truth, but only our Great Shephard, through His Spirit, uses men and women alike as He sees fit. God is the one who opens hearts and minds to see and understand.

also pretty sure de-emerald is a man?

i do apologize for bringing up all these other things, and i do not know whether Mssr. Singh really teaches that *real Christians* never sin or stumble, or if he simply phrased some things in ways that could have been said better, and i took off and ran with them.
what i ought to have done is stick with my comment that i found nowhere in the book explanation for why God decorated His tabernacle & temple with images, nor did i find any support for calling all images evil. that was the only point i wanted to make when i wrote, and i said more than i should have.

all of us here in this conversation need to find a way to work out our offenses in love. we're not enemies, but children of one Father, because all of us here have put our trust in Christ. our enemy is the one who would have us angry with each other in our hearts. we will have disagreements on many things, on people, on ideas, even on doctrines and interpretations. but we should not disagree about love; it is by our love for one another that the world is to know we are Christians: this is what Jesus told us.
Posthuman, this is a better reply. I still feel a frank apology would have been the right thing to do. Anyway, I forgive you for your blunder.

It is now your responsibility to read the book GDP at a more leisurely pace, and understand the precious truths revealed by the man of God.

It is also your responsibility to restrain these high-strung ladies (or read, 2 Tim 3:6, s.w.) from casting aspersions and indulging in absurd vilification. Perhaps you can take a Bible class with them on the subject of the tabernacle, using GDP as reference material. ;):)

i think it's clear that Charish is from India or Pakistan or . . ? somewhere in this area -- and his culture is patriarchal, as Middle Eastern culture is too -- while we are here in America which is decidedly different in its thinking. whether one or the other is more right than the other, i don't want to get into arguments about right now.

i'm not offended by his comment about a man's place being head over a woman.
This comment shows your inadequate knowledge of geography. “India, Pakistan, or...” is not Middle Eastern! We have Middle East, South Asia, South East Asia and the Far East.

Thank you for not being offended “by his comment about a man's place being head over a woman.” I never used that statement, but it is 100% true.

And P.S., Posthuman, I love you with Christian love.

And, as regards, De-emer, I am pretty sure she’s a woman. I am sorry that you felt she was a man. No man will behave in that brittle, over-excitable, feminine fashion. Perhaps a good rest in the salubrious surroundings of upstate NY or the more temperate Blue Mountains further south would do her good. With no Internet, of course!:);)

i think every single one of us who spend time in the Bible Discussion Forum ((BDF)) have felt the same way. and we've turned around and made others feel the same too.

we have to figure out a way to be zealous for the truth and be loving and kind and forgiving towards each other at the same time.
we all do. we're all awful at it.
we're family. we fuss and poke at each other but at the end of the day we sit down together and eat from the same table :coffee:

take a break and pray. i know. come back and be better than the things that hurt you
it's a world of hurt people hurting each other, and we're being redeemed from it
Thats ok, your right everybody falls short in nature. people get annoyed,
to. what kicked me of was watching other people become upset the same as i did. charisharron apolagized for coming on as being to strong. when he made reference from his very first post on this website in his introduction in the welcoming site of expectation from others.

He knew it was wrong to come on to strong and apolagized we forgave him, shared in his thrustration then he started of all over again.

I Had a questionare sent to me Which i felt was questioning human nature and christianity the wrong way i ignored it. then i saw the same questionaire be sent to others. from a title of a thread that suggested your doing something wrong, are you mortifying the deeds of the flesh.
What i then felt like and this was after one week befor i became annoyed was indication of sinless perfection was going on, I didnt really know what to do with that and my shortcoming i didnt handle the situation very well. I feal now i should have because i had a conviction from the holy spirit i failed to act upon. I wasnt sure at the time if it was from the holy spirit.

i became upset because i felt sinless perfection was being preached on the basis of our shortcomings in your very nature and felt concerned for him that maybe he was being led astray by the enemy.

I asked him are you preaching sinless perfection and are you aware that your posts and thread are implying sinless perfection.
he then made reference i was a western christian who cant handle being offended.
My short coming is i shouldnt have asked him that way.

But That was it i blew my top... because i also felt that other people where blowing there top the same way. (my concern was the enemy could now get a hold of other christians once they become annoyed to, which i began to see the enemy getting a hold of other christians after they became annoyed even befor i lost my cool. (ie people staying annoyed to long is not Good) . I saw an agenda rising where people where getting more an more anoyed with his manner and his suggestions by the day.
I wondered if he he had been hurt in some way to and then felt convicted i was behaving the same way, that i had hurt him the same and others and that i was staying annoyed to long, which i feal he as to own up to the fact that he fails in this short coming to

I then had another christian imply i dint have any quailties in kindess, I thought perhaps i should have more concern for him, my shortcoming is i do fail in this field sometimes and i polagise.

Then i read this book hes read which also makes you feal as if your not a christian if you you lose your temper.

The titles of his threads i felt where ridiculous over the top this is when i felt sinless perfection had well and truly got a hold of him.

i then saw realy not to big of a deal of questions being escalated into highly insultive arguments. Like Jesus did not have long hair or tatoos are of the devil,
Or how dare the church still keep Jesus on the cross.

One issue after the next is all I saw to
He made reference he had been on facebook and twitter for years having issues with other christians. I thought maybe hes beens highly insulted on facebook and twiiter and its gota hold of him.
i thought maybe people have corrupted his way of thinking to.

I have short comings to and i have been convicted i was upset at my self for not handling the whole agenda very well and i have been convicted, because i realise people have issues and hurt.
Im convicted ive hurt his fealings when i should have been a bit more kind and gentle in my approach to dealing with all his issues, which he needs to off load.

I realise christians are senceitive and care about there faith and Jesus and how we should behave as christians
I was convicted of my short comings and i apolagise to you.
Ive been convicted befor when ive seen a person get angry for my upset and i try not to concern other people with my upset because of that.

Im learning to take my issues more and more to the holy spirit. Yestersay i was convicted and then imeadiately felt washed clean of my hurt and at the same time adviced on how i should deal with my short comings and other peoples.

Charish does also have to learn this that he is holding scars just like me
And if he wants to still be my friend im there for him.I
I mean it i really do

This comment shows your inadequate knowledge of geography. “India, Pakistan, or...” is not Middle Eastern! We have Middle East, South Asia, South East Asia and the Far East.
I said I surmise that you are from in or near the Indian subcontinent, that the culture there is patriarchal, and that the culture of the Middle East is also patriarchal.

To indicate that the Bible was written by a patriarchal society ((in the Levant)) and that in this respect the culture of India et al. is closer to the culture of the peoples of scripture than the culture of the USA.

;)

Posthuman, it’s time to clear the good name of Bakht Singh who wrote God’s Dwelling Place. Here is a book wriiten by Dr TE Koshy of Syracuse, NY on this man of God, being vilified by ignorant elements on CC. I knew the late Dr Koshy personally, as many students of Syracuse knew him and received much help and comfort through his generous hospitality.

Get that book through Amazon. Read it and understand what is happening in other parts of the world!

The problem with America is that it’s become a kind of Sodom and Gomorrah, and there’s hardly anyone in that country who knows what is it to walk with God. There’s lots of talk, but no walk!

We cant do it alone it has to be given we cant whip people to come to christ

But we can ask Jesus to ask the father who will send a comforter the holy spirit.

The question is can we ask Jesus to help us overcome The fealing we are being condemend.

Yes we can

Can we reataliate if we dont ask Jesus this,

yes we can

cant hate get a hold of us if we feal insulted by insultive condemation.

yes we can and then we can retaliate out of hate and not love.

can hate escalate

yes it can..

Do we want to be kept reminded of this..

This is why we need christ there is no condemation in him and we need the holy spirit
to free us from hate or insults that nest an infliction in our heart.

This is walking the walk and talking the talk lol.

So we turn from Jesus hair to bashing women, interesting. So all women are just so brittle and over emotional and "excitable" you can't talk to them? What kind of a blanket statement is that?!

Agreed; his culture is decidedly not Western. However, that is no excuse for making denigrating comments about women. ;)

Postman, I find another high-strung lady, who, based on your false interpretation of God's Dwelling Place by BS, insists that:
"Someone who teaches sinless perfection, and is accused of teaching sinless perfection, is NOT being slandered." Frankly, I think you have just rushed thru the book GDP and passed a hasty and unwarranted judgment on it. There is no sinless perfection in the book! I hope you will retract your statement. Too many gullible and vulnerable women (2 Tim 3.6; I hesitate to use the KJV expression) are being misled by your hasty and unwarranted judgment.

I beseech you (a Pauline expression) to read the book again! The passage you quoted refers to the power of the Blood to cleanse and give life. It has nothing to do with sinless perfection!

P.S. The lady adds that she has never heard of the person! Most Americans don't know what's happening in the rest of the world. If she has never heard of BS, the least she could have done was to get to know about him, and read the little book titled God's Dwelling Place.
It does not reflect well on you when you violate the teachings of Scripture while attempting to teach others about Scripture. If you have a problem with me, then talk to me about it, not to PostHuman.

It also doesn't reflect well on you when you assume wrongly the gender of a person, make disparaging remarks about that person publicly, or assume wrongly the nationality of a person and make negative remarks about their nationality. You make exactly the error for which you disparage me: ignorance!

And by the way, even though the author's initials are "BS", that is the common abbreviation for "bullsh*t". A little cultural sensitivity would go a long way.

MY RESPONSE TO A FALSE NEWSFLASH

I am responding to this post which has vilified a great man of God. The lady in question should not have spread slander against him in this way. Here is my point-by-point rebuttal:

1. A book that preaches sinless perfection.
Reply: The book in question is 'God's Dwelling Place', one of the simplest clearest expositions on the Tabernacle. Nowhere does the writer preach sinless perfection.
2. The passage quoted by the LIQ (lady in question) does NOT preach sinless perfection. It simply talks about the power of the Blood of Jesus.
3. Postman Hunter's paraphrase is a gross misrepresentation of the passage on the power of the precious Blood. He has vilified a great man of God. He has to apologize on this forum and also confess this grave sin before God. Postman has also upset the LIQ with his false paraphrase. She being of an emotional (and not spiritual) temperament has been so agitated that she has slandered me, saying that I believe in sinless perfection. What a joke! I stand strongly on 1 John 1.9, 10. Every day I ask the Lord to show me where I have failed, and I confess before Him.
4. The LIQ say that she recieved a prayer last week from the holy spirit telling me he (charish) has been corrupted by sinless perfection. I beg to submit that she should stop receiving such prayers (or visions or dreams or whatever) and start reading the Bible, preferably on her knees. God will judge all of us by HIS INFALLIBLE WORD.
5. I forgive the LIQ fully for her unseemly behaviour. I notice that whenever I speak the truth and stand by it, the devil gets very upset and he targets me with arrows of slander and vilification.
6. Postman, I forgive you too. You have misjudged the man of God, BS, and you need to read that book again. If it does not open your eyes to the truth about the tabernacle, then I say 'God help you!'.
7. The LIQ, instead of showing the picture of God's Dwelling Place has shown a wrong picture of another book The Temple & The Tabernacle by JDH. I don't want her to apologize to JDH, bec he will just laugh over this silly 'storm in a teacup'.
8. I find the men here in CC incapable of guiding the women in matters of truth. Therefore the men are responsible. Otherwise God will take them to task for misleading these silly high-strung ladies.

MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
MAY YOU COME INTO THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH.
(And P.S. Don't ever slander the dead (esp great men of God), because you will have to face the wrath of God (God who says, Touch not my anointed ones!)

I think you should stick with something most people here have knowledge of.

we are not reading obscure books written by your countrymen ESPECIALLY when you go apoplectic if we disagree

the kind written by an individual who comes from a society wherein women are not valued as they should be
