What's in Acts 2:38 is taught to Gentiles elsewhere in scripture. Do you deny that?
We should take Eph 1.13 . 1 cor 1.21 , Rom 10.9 . 1 cor15 1 -4 and many others and realise that Acts chapter's 2-28 is when God was transitioning From Israel to Samaritans to Gentile .
And take Acts descritptively and not prescriptively . That way when we read the epistles we can see how a person is saved TODAY and in what order .

You have not refuted the Greek rendering that I have seen
Yes ,its crazy gymnastics because certain commentators don't know what to do with the verse ,so of course they strain as hard as they can with ' the greek ' . The kjv is just fine . But interestingly enough, most versions translate it the same. Do you do the same with ALL verses or is it Just this one ?

I really don't see the transition to Gentiles. I mean, they started with Jews because they were geographically located in Israel were most of the Jews were. In the surrounding areas there were Gentiles and when they went there they ministered to them. Even Jesus occasionally helped Gentiles when or if He wanted to.

I don't see Acts as a transition, but more of a documentary of what the apostles did for the people they were in immediate contact with. As we know, the gospel eventually spread to the whole world. God ordained the gospel to go to the Gentiles and that was always His plan.

They go everywhere but not to everyone. Until they realise God has granted repentance to Gentiles . It takes inertia and Cornelius. Prior to this : Acts 11
18¶When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

19¶Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.
TO NONE BUT UNTO THE JEWS ONLY !!
This is 10 years after Acts 2 .

Jesus said the gospel would go in the following order

1 to the jews
2 to sameria
3 the ends of the earth

same message. Different tines

Unfortunately the of us stuck in dual covenant and dual gospels.

The term [buried] is a Water term not Spiritual.
There's no water in the book of Romans, its bone dry .I don’t recall where water put anybody “into Jesus Christ.”
“For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body” (1 Cor. 12:13)

There was in Acts and Paul rolled that over to the Romans.

The Holy Spirit puts you “into Jesus Christ.” When He does, you are identified with Christ’s death on the cross. When Christ died on the cross, He became “sin for us” (2 Cor. 5:21). So it is your 'sin nature' which is dead with Christ. Verse 6: “our old man” (the Adamic nature) “is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be dedestroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.” , this is our position in Christ. You are, first of all, dead in Christ; i.e., your sinful, Adamic nature is dead. Next, “we are buried with him by baptism into death.” So the old nature is “dead and buried.” That’s the Christian’s second position in Christ.

It was prophesied well in advance that the gospel would go to the Gentiles as well:

Romans 15:8-12
8Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:
9And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name. (2 Samuel 22:50, Psalm 18:49)
10And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people. (Deuteronomy 32:43)
11And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.(Psalm 117:1)
12And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.(Isaiah 11:10)

The "transition" that you are saying is in Acts just doesn't exist. Acts 2:38 addresses Jews because those were the people who were literally present at that moment. Had Gentiles been present they would have addressed them as well.

Eventually, once they got out of Jerusalem and moved on, they did go to the Gentiles and told them to repent, be baptized, and believe the Gospel of Christ just like Acts 2 says for the Jews.

1. Repent (2 Corinthians 7:10)
2. Be baptized (1 Corinthians 1:14-17)
3. They believed (1 Corinthians 15:1-4)

Straight from Bible Teachings and agreed among Denominations:

Water baptism is a way to visually preach the gospel. Standing in the water symbolizes Jesus dying on the cross, immersing in the water symbolizes Jesus being buried in the tomb and being raised from the water symbolizes Jesus rising from the dead. We bury the 'old life,' and we rise to walk in a 'new life'.

Just like I mentioned!

Yes a person today still ' repents ' , Still believes and can still be baptised ( water permitting, although not essential as it is given in Acts 2 . A person today receives the Holy as per Eph 1.13 ,not as in Acts 2.38 or Acts 8 .
