"Meaningful silence is better than meaningless words". Phytagoras

Romans 12: 19- 21
19Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. 20Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. 21Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Yes, the Lord is a God of wrath and a God of vengeance.

Quick question for Phytagoras, Since meaning comes through the word (logos), how does silence contain any meaning apart from an interpretation of that silence which would break that silence with words?
(No need to answer unless your name is Phytagoras. lol)

For it will become meaningful the silence if we make it in a diplomatic way or in a pray that God can handle this. 😊

These things are not easy to learn. And learning these clear teaching just now as I approach my mid-fifties. . . to me, this means that I need to keep my mouth shut. :D

Seriously. That's what it means to me. If we are to allow God to perform His Holy vengeance, then why should we even become upset when things don't go our way? Isn't this the big test for us? Aren't we to become mere servants of the Lord? And if we are to serve, do we only serve those who are already living like kings and queens? Or, do we serve those who are struggling, poor, and oppressed?

As True Christians, we have been purchased, and a part of that package is our rights. We are the Holy Property of Jesus, who purchased us with His Blood. True Christians have been gifted the Holy Spirit, a Holy Guarantee that Promises Eternal Life, for He will never leave. So, if we've been given Eternal Life, and if we have a Father in Heaven who will assuredly take care of those who have harmed us, His True Children . . . then why be upset about anything at all?

Easier said than done. But, a True and Heavenly perspective sure makes it easier to accept. :)

Oh yeah very hard to apply to be silence during that kind of situation. Only by the help of the Holy Spirit we can do but sometimes we failed to submit and we react first with upset behhaioy

What I capture from that question is "does silence have logos?" Very interesting question. Perhaps Pythagoras was just musing on the concept that low effort pathos is more convincing than bad logos.

Yes, he was probably thinking of his own vain mutterings when he came up with that saying.
Wait. Who was Pythagoras anyways? Did he come up with the Pythagorean theorem? lol
