This website is for Christians and those interested in Christianity (the site rules specifically say so). Here is rule #2:

2. No conduct that is offensive or counterproductive to fellowship.
We like to welcome all to Christian Chat, but if anyone is not here for fellowship (or for wanting to know about Christianity), but simply for disrupting fellowship, offending people, whatever, then that person is not welcome.

I don't expect atheists to suddenly realize how much Jesus loves them; the Bible specifically says that unless God reveals it to them, they won't see. It often takes awhile (if at all in this life) to come to the point where the blood of Jesus being shed specifically for one's own sins really registers in one's soul. However, though we shouldn't hold it against people if they don't believe as we do, to allow them to blaspheme our Savior Jesus on a Christian site would be wrong. After all the pain He took for us on the cross, the least we can do is keep those who aren't yet interested in hearing of Him (but are instead here to start fights and argue) off of the site.
This is such a wonderful forum for so many different reasons. I hope it isn't being threatened. Some of the posters use it to abuse other posters rather than express what they think God wants us to understand. That concerns me. I hope it can always be open for discussion. I haven't understood why some are banned and others left, sometimes it seems those who abuse the fellowship the worst are the ones left! Perhaps they are the ones who accuse others the fastest?

What a difficult job administration has! They need our prayers.

It seems to me discussion, even, with people who question God has its place, here. The discussions that cencern me are those about men's philosophical ideas rather than God's word, those who talk in labels instead of scripture.

Christianchat likes to ban non believers because they can't take the scrutiny.
No, they ban people who are here being hostile towards Christianity or hostile towards members or moderators. No "non believer" would be banned for investigating Christianity. Atheists are persons who have made up their mind that there is no God and really are here only to make their case against Christianity. Agnostics are open minded and have not come to any conclusions about God. Agnostics generally do not come here.

Atheists often come here under false pretenses. They often say "If you can prove God exists, then I will become a Christian" but they have no intentions of becoming a Christian. All they are really doing is throwing a hook with bait into the water hoping to catch a fish. So the vast majority of atheists are simply here trolling hard and get banned for it. Then they cry the blues about being banned from a site that is dedicated to serving Christians, christian discussion, Christian prayer and Christian fellowship. Honestly, I have no sympathy for them and they get what they deserve. Trolls should always be banned.

Hmm! I´m learning English and your idea gave me a grammar lesson: Should I say ARE or IS in the quoted sentence? I guess ARE, but I´m not English... Thanks!
Thank you for pointing this out - and from a non English speaker! Good for you!!! Corrected sentence: Why ARE there a lot of people getting banned lately?

Thanks guys for your support.

Operating and moderating a Christian chat and forum site that is open internet with thousands of people is not easy. We also get judged by some for things that people don't really know about or understand (as we have to deal with many things that you don't see, and often there's a background that people don't know).

So thanks for your support! :)

I think the mods are pretty lenient with Rule #2.

I'm glad I don't have to moderate this site.

i'm a mod, only ever banned 1 person that was begging for money the day they joined. i think we are very lenient, I've been cursed many times but my faith is strong enough to take it. There are rules, this is a christian site after all. I also give my time to a mechanics advisory site and people that break rules there are also banned
On this site. Because you aren't listed in the list of site leaders.

Prodigal has indeed been moderating some of the rooms, and we appreciate his help. He'll be listed soon (and user title changed).

I've seen bans on this subject which tested my empathy for mod decisions, 95% of the time though, I can "see where they're coming from" and for the other 5% I accept as managements right... it's hard to make consistent and unbias decisions 100% of the time, especially when you expand a mgt team and or the situation asks you to be practical to the purpose of the site.

From what I've seen, non-Christians get themselves banned because they're not here to be open-minded, only to bash and hate on Christians. There's no need for that here. The non-Christians have their own non-Christian forums for that.

They do indeed have their own. But, having come from a major Broadcasting Network Community,
you can't imagine how difficult it is to get a non-christian to leave. They have their own agenda and
are proud of it. Sadly they want to cause division and there are links to prove it. All one has to do is
google athiest or any word that goes against Gods Word, and a group will be there to teach how to
come into places just like this and divide the group, or even completely destroy a believers faith.
WE need to be on guard and pray daily for protection over each other and the sites that are set up
for followers of Christ our Lord. I am pleased this is a tough site to get into. And they don't put up
with nasty issues that are indecent. ~

I came and went from here and realized I was not going to find a site so well
maintained as this one. I have prayed for long time where God would have me
go since I left the one after nearly 4 years of watching it go down, down, down.

My one question is..how does one help support w/ money if we don't use the
Internet for banking or purchases. I do not give out my credit card online.
Is there a place we can send a check or money order to help maintain the site ?
Thanks for your answer in advance... God bless you for your time and energy.

Hey J-Kay,

I believe the easiest approach is to register a PayPal account. You can tie your checking/savings account number and bank's routing number to the PayPal account, and then submit donations on a case by case basis, or opt in for a recurring donation.

I believe that RoboOp does have a physical address that checks or money orders can be mailed to if you ask him directly.

Since you've been here Prodigal, you are the sweetest person, and not everyone is called to do this job. You maintain the room like a wonderful butler addressing everyones needs, and bringing a lot of love, laughter, and things. You nor neither anyone else should be verbally abused, it is not of God, and it is not good for one's health. In other words, make is a loving place to be in. TY for your service. YOu are called to serve..... TY......for making Christian Chat a nice place.....

True. I don't know much. I've only been on this site for 10 years. But hey, you've started posting again for a week now. You're clearly more aware. 🙄
