So I guess when Paul called out Peter for sinning he was against Gods will

when someone continually and without repentance lies about others for months on end, failing to chasten them is enabling them. Not helping them,

and it certainly does not help the chatroom any, because we continue with the same person lieing about others claiming they say th8ngs they never said and then when confronted, blame shifting

sorry brother, but your dead wrong on this issue,

if it was a one time thing, I would agree mightily with you, but this has turned into habit happened sin, which should be called out, it should not be the same people over and over calling her out for sin, everyone needs to call a spade a spade.

otherwise you have chaos,

we want peach here and for people to own up to what they are doing not thread after thread after thread doing the same thing,
Um well apostles aren’t who you or I are is the thing they have a commission to judge we do not we are supposed to learn what they taught and one of the thkngs ive learned from Jesus , Paul , John and Peter is that I personally have no place correcting and assuming some leadership role in the church when I’m. NOt appointed by the lord to
Be that

maybe you are pointed judge and correcter not me though , I’m just a believer hoping to be found worthy , but I’m a believer so I like to discuss scripture with other imperfect believers

you may be called to do that but I assure you brother , it is not my place I’m just another fool trying to learn some wisdom and be saved and hopefully I will accidentally help someone else turn thier eyes to my judge and thiers who is worthy to judge when I’m not

“But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭14:10-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

no one has to answer to me or you they will stand or fall based on their own faith in Christ and whatever sins they did or whatever good they did again that’s between thier jidge and mine as my own deeds are between he and I

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Part of his judgement regards not judging others unless you yourself have attained perfection . But listen , it isn’t my place to tell you if your called as some type of watchmen , that’s ok with me but

it is by the fruits of the spirit people will recognize you , if you go around accusing and correcting it’s like a thorn bush it’s better to share the lord and his gospel

If Christ changed the world then what we learn in the old testament is no more, and we need not consider those books current scripture.
Still awaiting an answer, Blik. Did you mean "world" or "word"?

Who said anything about chosing what scripture to discuss?

once again your inability to read what people say comes flowing through. I never said a word about not studying scripture. In fact I said I myself study the law.

Yet here you are once again bearing false witness while judging me.
you
Again, You are your own worse enemy.
You say something about choosing what scripture to discuss when you attack me as a person when I discuss scripture telling us to obey the law.

I have, from years of experience knowing you, learned that you will find a way to criticize any response made to you, not in the interest of understanding better, but in the interest of your saying how superior you are to anyone else. If your question was sensible or reasonable to others, I would try to answer you.

I did not attack you, I tried to discuss how scripture tells us as be the Bible says we are no longer under law

you Attack by continuaally bearing false witness, like you just once again did,

one day you will be held accountable, if not by people in here by God himself

You are an enabler my friend,

that’s sad,

when you see someone sin, to allow them to continue in sin is to enable them.

Of course. And your posts reflect on you.

If you could discuss scripture it would be marvelous. You have a vast knowledge of scripture that could be an asset to everyone, except you are so caught up in the letter of scripture without acknowledging that it is the eternal spirit of the Lord that is important. Like God only spoke to Israel. Or how the law is in the commandments that are obsolete. I think the new covenant should color our interpretation of scripture, God now speaks to our heart not in rules of stone.

You have set yourself up as God, able to call anyone down with your judgments. It is not right, and I think you know enough scripture to know it is not.

You may say you think something is a sin, but it is not up to you to allow or not allow others freedom of choice. Even the Lord does not do that, and you are taking on that job.

When you say a person said something they did not say, it’s a sin
when you claim people believes something they do not believe. It’s sin

you do this continually. Not just to me but anyone who disagrees with your view of scripture

i am not God, I do not have to be, you have been shown to be a deceiver by many people since you have been here

stop putting the blame on everyone else and repent. Until then, you will never have a normal conversation with people who disagree with you, ever

Would you please explain how finding an understanding of scripture is sowing spiritual confusion?

Also, please back up your statement that Christ abolished the old covenant. As I pointed out that covenant is obsolete and of no further use to us, but to say God cancelled what God proclaimed was part of His eternal plan is a huge statement about the character of God. It means that what God tells us is not eternal but can change at any time so we could not rely on God. I feel God is absolutely true, God is eternal, God is completely reliable. If God cancelled it, please give scripture telling us so.
God does not change but His ways of dealing with mankind surely does. Early in Israel's existence, the Law was enforced diligently. Yet King David was not stoned as the Law required. God showed him mercy and grace.

A quick search of Bible Hub finds this:

Ephesians 2:14-16
…For He Himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has torn down the dividing wall of hostility by abolishing in His flesh the law of commandments and decrees. He did this to create in Himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace and reconciling both of them to God in one body through the cross, by which He extinguished their hostility.…

Israel was only an interim measure in God's eternal plan. He told Abraham that all the families of the earth would be blesses through him. It was the pride and arrogance of Israelites that led to the destruction of the temple and the nation. God has restored physical Israel. The Church is God's means of bringing the gospel to the whole world - all the families, as God told Abraham.

it isn’t me allowing someone else’s actions is the thing how powerful do you suppose a Christian is bro ? Do I control others because I don’t condemn and accuse other sinners ?

who am I to point to someone else’s flaws and imperfections I have plenty of my own friend ( I’m assuming in your view you Need to correct me and all that because I’m admitting I’m imperfect but I’m ok with just believing Jesus and learning from him and now you probably can’t associate with me a terrible sinner and everything )

But the bottom line is I can’t make anyone repent 🙂 and I am not responsible or another person sins I’m not sure where your thought and judgements are coming from but I’m certain it’s not from the Bible

I’m not fit to judge anyone

and to be honest I don’t believe you are either my judgement and correction is on my own life and flaws of one day I find I’m some super righteous man that’s chosen of God to judge people then I would ,

but I’m just being real , I’ve come a long way from who I used to be overcame many onstacles and things but there is always another one that’s coming tomorrow that I never knew was there before so I’m. It’s repenting every day when I find some manner of sin in my own life

I’m not anyone’s corrector like I was saying just a believer trying to make his way home to my Father so , I do what Jesus said and beer and believe and then apply his word to my life and then find freedom from things I used to struggle with

but I’m pretty sure we shouldn’t have an eye load of our own flaws and shortcomings , and be pointing out the flakes and specs in someone else’s eye

You or I can’t help someone , God calls people to do That like Paul , Peter , even Apollos and Luke ect even some good solid pastors in the world still preaching the truth but brother I can’t be clearer no matter how often you were to tell
Me I’m enabling another sinner

I’m busy running for the daylight christ has shown me and see freedom ahead , so I’m just shouting to mothers who want out or the prison house too l I have to say is “ look at the light and head that way

Jesus words are sufficient to correct a believer , my view is to help people see that it’s his word we need , ot for
Me to go condemn and accuse sinners I’m just one of them just sinner who has found a life of repentance when I fail and a spirit to press forward into his kingdom

not my place to Make people right or wrong just a fellow human trying to be glorofoed with the lord like he promised others can correct and point sin out like you here’s plenty of that in the church I’m just running for the exit and hoping someone looks in the direction I’m pointing because it’s the way out

What a wonderful post. I'd love to sit over a cup of coffee with you. It is such a joy to be able to discuss the Lord with others who love Him. It is very difficult to find the right way when others use other ways, I'll try harder.

amen to that❤ I have to try harder on many things every day so I understand that and relate well

.brothers and sisters eternal seems important relationships that we don’t have enough of in our daily lives we can’t save one another bit we can build up , encourage , edify , support , forgive ect one another and that’s I believe what the church needs most

I love coffee and scripture , so that’s right up my alley lol I once a long time ago let some jehovahs witnesses come on to talk about the Bible and I poured myself a cup of coffee , and offered them some 😇😅😅 I was informed of the evils of caffeine and the conversation was short

I love scripture discussion Especially when it doesn’t erupt into a violent mob type argument with accusations of heresy and stonings and what not haha just joking sorry 😇

Jesus included us in his prayers just before he died for us it seems important for us to somehow find unity

“Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.”
‭‭John‬ ‭17:20-

God bless And keep you even if we’re coffee drinkers lol

You have to prove it

actions speak louder than words maam.

while he right non of us are perfectly if we keep sinning against a brother or sister continually. Our actions speak against what we say we want to do,

there is always hope. Everytime someone mentions to you what you did to them, you have the ability to repent and own up to your sinl

or continue to do what you have done,

I am thankful for my brothers and sisters in my life that did not let me wallow in my sin and my pride, I think them every day, as for the ones who were afraid to confront Mel I have no respect for them.

Your still an enabler,

I have no respect for them. I praise God for the people in my life that were not afraid to call me out when they saw a sin issue in my life and area of pride that did not allow me to move forward. But held me back in my own belief.

If Christ changed the world then what we learn in the old testament is no more, and we need not consider those books current scripture. If Christ fulfilled what is told in the old testament, we need to know all that Christ fulfilled.

Circumcision is a very important element of the old testament. Cutting of skin to designate true circumcision was accepted as finished true circumcision by many. There was a change when Christ came, and circumcision was of the heart. Christ explained all the laws and symbols at the sermon on the mount, saying “you have been told” and then “but I tell you”. Christ repeated many laws in stone, and then explained how those laws was now in our hearts. Christ did not say the same principle applied to circumcision, but we know God created the world to run in true order. When the Lord tells us of a principle, it applies to all of our world. Circumcision done in a literal cutting of skin was now to be in our hearts.

I think Christ fulfilled, Christ did not change. We need the old testament to explore all Christ fulfilled. What do you think about it?

Matthew 5:17 Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
What's the difference?

If Christ has fulfilled then doesn't that mean we no longer do?

And if we no longer do isn't that a change?

it doesn’t please God when his kids argue over his word meant to bring them together in the hope af eternal life , it would be a pretty long eternity of we are continually bickering and arguing simply because other people in a discussion don’t agree
right. of course not

but you know what really gets God irritated?

when people add to scripture to push their own private doctrines

and what gets Him even more irritated? when people push the OT as part of salvation

that is what is going on here whether or not you see it.
