This whole thread reminds me of a Gaither song and makes the point I've been trying to make all along. It's called " I Catch Em, He Cleans Em"

I was driving around down south Louisiana
Stopped in a town called Galliano
I saw a sign on a church that said, "Fish fry tonight"
A little old Cajun preacher was preachin'
Reminded me of an old camp meeting
It brought Saint Matthew 4:19 to life

He said, "I catch 'em, God cleans 'em
I bait the hook with the love of the Kingdom
I've been called to be a fisher of men"
"I catch 'em, God cleans 'em
Heaven knows He saves every soul that believes Him
I reel 'em in and He washes away their sin"

Yeah, it didn't take long for Him to catch my attention
He was long on grace and short on religion
He said a prayer and that was all that she wrote
He said, "Amen!", and God as my witness
I fell in that big ole net of forgiveness
And before I knew it we were all in the same boat

He said, "I catch 'em, God cleans 'em
I bait the hook with the love of the Kingdom
I've been called to be a fisher of men"
"I catch 'em, God cleans 'em
Heaven knows He saves every soul that believes Him
I reel 'em in and He washes away their sin"

I catch 'em, God cleans 'em
I bait the hook with the love of the Kingdom
I've been called to be a fisher of men
I catch 'em, God cleans 'em
Heaven knows He saves every soul that believes Him
I reel 'em in and He washes away their sin
Yeah, I reel 'em in and He washes away their sin
Oh yes, He does
I reel 'em in and He washes away their sin
Let's go fishing
If they want to be clensed. All ive seen here is the demand for acceptance.

I think homosexuals should boycott any church or denomination that says "love the sin, hate the sinner" and then never actually reaches out in love to the sinner. I catch 'em, HE cleans 'em. ;)
They dont want to be clensed they want to be celebrated in their perversion. Should we both keep repeating ourselves?

@ Mark agree homosexuality was wrong, did he not? A lot of people don't want to be cleansed, at first, that doesn't mean you give up. Again, the cleaning is up to God, we simply show them the way and pray and love them until the work is completed.

Most sinners don't want to be cleansed. Most sinners don't even understand they are sinners. Our job is to tell them the truth in love. We pray them in. Do you have a lost loved one? A friend? Have you given up on them or are you still believing for them? Have you ever evangelized?

You're thinking of a completely fleshly father and son, in which case it's obvious. That said, not everyone is a child of the Father in heaven.
I am not thinking of anything but the passage

That mans blood born son left.

Did He stop being the son? if he did. When?

Do you have kids? DO you kick your kids out of your family if they leave. Or are they always your children?

This Mark guy has been told what he needs to do. He doesnt want to do it. He wants everybody to tell him he is in a good place. Instead of beating the drum, posting about motes, beams and stones how about reading what Paul has to say about behavior in church?

How do you know what they want?

I showed where one of my elders was a practicing homosexual until the love of my church led him to seek christ and he is now a happily married man with 2 kids (yes he has a female wife) and is happy and joyous..

We should not judge ones motives

So you expect them to be saved and as mature as a Christian that's been on the road 50 yrs? How can any sinner come to church to learn the truth if you won't allow them in.

This Mark guy has been told what he needs to do. He doesnt want to do it.
This Mark guy, somehow that doesn't seem very loving to me. My uncle didn't want to give up alcohol, drank his entire life, but he came to the Lord before he passed. Could have just given up on him, but we didn't. And he's in heaven today.

I didn't post about motes or stones. I'll ask again, have you ever evangelized?

and no one can be cleaned apart from being born again.. The blood must wash them. Then God will work on the rest.

Yes he did. You're ignoring His command. Perhaps it's because you haven't taken the beam from your own eye.
Beam from my eye?

I am not judging anyone my friend

Keep digging.. Your hurting yourself not me

I know you have been all over the world. Saved more souls than Billy Grahm. But have you ever read 1st Corinthians?

Wow, how ignorant can you get. Man if you're "saved" your fruit here sure isn't showing it. How about answering the question.

ps. One soul won for Christ and the angels rejoice, apparently you don't. smh

I'm born from above, bro. I proclaim the gospel message to the lost and the afraid and tell them about all that Jesus commanded. And when judging others, Jesus said "take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother’s eye." Luje 6:42. I've done that, bro, therefore I am following the command of my Savior and Lord. Are you?

I never said otherwise

When you do this. You are born of God born of blood

The child that left was a born child of the father. When he left did he stop
Being the son
can you answer or are you going to keep beating around the bush?

He shouldn’t have been an elder and biblically, asked to leave the fellowship. I’d rather be right with God than man.
