am I limited to just one pick for each decade.....
cuz it's hard to pick just one "favorite" (as my son pointed out one day when I kept saying "oh turn it up, it's my favorite song!")

lol....
way back when.........
when I had all the time in the world,
I knew my current Christian mainstream music inside, out and upside down.
One or two notes and I knew what it was, (or could run it through my mind and on warp speed and figure it out)
We were at a youth group event with other youth groups. One of the "friendly games/competitions was Christian music version of Name That Tune. (but they didn't tell us that, they just asked to send x amount of people from your group up. ) Our group leader did NOT pick me for that  (she had picked a bunch of the kids who came to church via the church bus, who didn't listen to Christian music-oh if ONLY they had told us what the players would be playing) ........ and one of the rules was no singing along or calling out answers (because it would disqualify the round, and if they knew what group it came from it would mean points off for your team :( .........
IT WAS TORTURE for me  and people around (especially those who knew me and knew I was just ready to BURST) were laughing b/c I was like:

That being said, this little diddy is now stuck in my head.....
from 1993 (though like the cartoon song above, this was still being played in youth groups nearly 10 years later as though it had just come out) Audio Adrenaline, Big House (aka Come and go to my Father's house)

I was at the 'Evie' Concert.
- Late 1970's

Many classic/enduring songs were composed..
- During the 1970's.

Keith Green, You put this love in my heart!

Great post.

Keith Green and Rich Mullens were very similar in their faith.
Both were committed to the utmost.

It's no

It seems you did not understand me, The only thing I took offense to is you insulting me which is not Christian like at all that was my point and you're doing it again, I have nothing against you I just did not like you insulting me that was uncalled for, KJV 1 John 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. KJV James 4:11-12 Speak not evil one of another brethren. NLT Do not insult others (1 Peter 3:9)
You can put this individual on ignore.

As for the topic of your thread...

I don't have a lot of favorite Christian music. Most of it I don't like. But...

"Grave Robber" by Petra is pretty awesome, especially after losing someone very special to you. This came out in the 80s.

I'm also a fan of Declaration (90s) and Mad at the World (80s, though they're still around).

My favorite tunes from Declaration are "When Push Comes to Shove"...

and "Welcome Home".

Mad at the World came out with some great new wave tunes, like "Fearfully and Wonderfully", "In My Dream", and "No Room Left".
